It's really nice, with one key cheap-out. Animated Toxie had a sleeveless T-shirt kind of top, not a singlet-style outfit. He really needed a new upper torso sculpt to be animation accurate. With as much reuse as he has, I would have thought it be the least they could do to get that right (other than the head, and cartoon accurate Blobby). Here's hoping that the other two figures in the wave impress a little more.
it's kinda disappointing compared to the toy versions of mumra and lion o. They made some necessary changes to match the look of the toy versions. I thought that they will do that on all their lines.
the animated headsculpt and mop are cartoon accurate, but the rest is toy accurate and the deco is nicely updated. I understand that to keep costs down they just reuse the tooling for this figure and that’s fine. What grinds me about Super7 is; inconsistency of deco hits vs keeping with the original playmates deco. Junkyard had no deco on his weapons just like the vintage figure. The junkyard figure itself had beautiful updates on the deco, which is appreciate. The radiation ranger got updated deco on everything but the blaster…. why? why not just throw some minor chrome on and be done with it?
Yeah i didnt have hardly any of the figures. And the originals on Ebay right now are way more expensive then these. So I hope they come out with all the originals.
Very nice, I am trying to cut down my collecting so I don't think I get these but still kinda jarring the old MotU classics body have more/better functional articulation than some of the newer lines like silver hawks or tmnt, sure the ab crunch doesn't match the style of more slender figures but still, it grinds my gears that so many lack proper torso articulation or less/barely 90 degree articulation on the limbs
I have the previous 3 versions of Toxie so I might go for this more toon accurate version. Favorite still remains the first toy inspired release. Hopefully Super7 does a movie Toxie. Haven't had a 7" version since the SOTA from about 20 years ago.
@@wasabi-in-my-eye3134yeah, earlier on, toxie v1,voltron v1 and Ren & Stimpy retailed for $35. I think s7 mightve been experimenting with a lower price point on figures not tied to a multi-figure line right out the gate.
Got 2 of the 4 Toxie's.... Great figures !!! I'm still holding out hope for a Dr.Killemoff and a Bonehead.... Would Looooooove a remake of those 2 as well from this line

One of my favorite series as a kid. I just got mine in recently and I hope we see another wave 🌊

I think it was like 30.00 for the 1st release at bigbadtoystore. It's currently 50+ now

I've got Junkyard on preorder and I would love for them to do Headbanger and Nozone. Some of the best toys of my childhood.
