Yeah I will eat pineapple on a pizza with Canadian bacon. Looked like a win to me. We might have to give this a try sometime. Oh and don't sand down the pan just get some more seasoning on it.
Yes I see a lot of people saying not to bother sanding, but the curiosity is getting to me! I might try it once to compare in a video just to to see how much of a difference there is.
@@CastIronEric - pro tip, always cook your vegetables and sausage before you put it on a pizza because it’s full of moisture. And buy your cheese as a block and shred yourself because the bagged stuff is coated in cornstarch and other stuff to keep it from clumping.
I scrub my Lodge with liquid dish soap and a blue textured sided sponge.....used steel wool brillo pads for stuck on stuff.........you can also fill with water and heat in oven to loosen stuck on cooked food.
cut a slit in the top before baking.......may release more moisture.......I also like to simmer my sauce down really thick......although your's looked pretty thick when you put it on.
you need to get a bunch of silicone handles for both sides of the pan, they also make a fabric handle hot hands holder.........I'm lucky that I live close enough to Pittsburgh Tennessee that I go to the factory outlet store about once or twice a year........NOTE....do NOT bake or cook with the silicone handles attached to the pan.
❤yum...evoo on bottom of pan next time...cook all your vegs and meat...pat down...put on cheese and sauce...put on crust...brush on a little more evoo...cook...flip ..eat...ENJOY 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Neither does Ranch or Buffalo sauce, or even Breakfast... It's there all the same. American Pizza is meant to be topped with almost anything. If you don't like, don't get it on your pizza. You not really taking a principled stance by gatekeeping something so subjective. Might as well be arguing over Ford Vs Chevy. It's a dumb person's debate🤷♂️
There is no need to sand that Lodge. It cooks just as good as the smooth ones. Temperature control is key.
I agree with you.
I definitely have leaned over time to preheat the skillet on low before really cooking. It helps a lot
Wow! It is interesting way of cooking. The crust looks really good. I like pineapple so I will add it on piazza.
Can confirm using tomato based food isn't going to hurt the skillet much.
Cool , I need to try this!
Please do and show us how it turns out for you
Well done
Thanks Julieta 😀
Had to watch again. I'm going to attempt this tonight. Wish me luck 😅
Haha use more oil than I did!
Great job Eric
Thanks I appreciate it!
Sounds great

Pizza Tatin!
Now that you’ve done this, you really have to try making your own tarte Tatin! Turns out great in cast iron.
Pineapple is when I'm in the mood for it❤

I'll definitely try that next time! Thank you for the tip

*Pineapple does NOT belong on pizza. Period.*

I have absolutely no doubt that you saw this on TikTok😂🤦♂️
Grease your pan next time. Americans love grease.👍
I used olive oil but yeah, didn't work too well lol
Idk
So basically no, it did not work :)
Haha yeah 😅.. I think it really needed more olive oil on the bottom or more vegetables
Yuk
