- In this video, I'm sharing some prices of my recent cakes with you! I will give you a few different prices of cakes between 1-4 tiers with varying levels of detail. Pricing is trial and error. And even after 20 years, I still don't always get it right! But I hope this helps you figure out how much you can charge for your custom cakes. I have other pricing videos that go into further detail about how to figure out how much to charge and they are linked below.

It is very hard to charge the right price for a cake ☹️people most of the time expect a cheap but pretty cake, they don’t value our work and they don’t realize all the work that require to make a cake, plus all the expenses that are high in price. Thank you! I always wondered if I overcharged or undercharged and I’ve realized that I have been undercharging for sure! I have an 80’s theme cake for this weekend. 10” 3 layer cake and 8” 2 layer cake all fondant with fondant decorations for $150. Yeah after watching this video it should’ve been $250 at least 😭
I’ll be honest, if I didn’t know how much time, effort, ingredients, materials, tools, etc. that goes in to these cakes … on top of baking/filling/icing the cakes before you can even decorate them (thanks to YOU I now know) … I would say all of them are way too expensive. However, like I just said, thanks to you I know why the prices are what they are.
