- Here is another common request: My take on the 1993 hit, "Plush" by Stone Temple Pilots as a supplementary submission to the STP Singer Search. From the 1992 album, "Core". This is pretty much the signature song of STP. I enjoy playing this live with my band so I hope you enjoy it too.
Contains original studio recordings by STP with my voice recordings.

John, I am a long time fan of Scott Weiland and Stone Temple Pilots. I absolutely adore their style. I play guitar semi professionally and have learned a lot from watching dean deleo play on RUclips and at concerts. You are impressive. I hope they choose you because if they do, I will come out to see the band play live. I will be excited to do so.

Saw a couple of photos of him and the DeLeo brothers in his Facebook
I was there at Studio 606 (Foo Fighters Studio) in Hollywood, California as John's de facto management rep during that period. They did perform Plush but they did the slow version which goes upbeat during the second chorus (the Chester live version). I would have loved to see them do the album version, but the way he improvised the vocals during the audition was beyond words. Almost like James Ingram belting some money notes. I wish that documentary would ever see the light of day.
