    Good basic well explained disassembly of the block, I made notice you used the tighten, loosen technique on the bolt that broke.

      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching! I usually get the 4 corners really hot before trying to pull out those bolts, sometimes they all come out in 1 piece, but unfortunately that one was too far gone. Going back and forth as you wrench helps clean out the threads, I learned that trick from someone else 😎👌

      Im also glad that it didn’t brother 😂, without experiencing that close call, I would probably be heart broken about my rusty cylinders, but there’s more important things in life 🤙

    Hey Luis! Excellent video!! Great job on the tear down and explaining things! Challenges happen with all projects, but looks like you have a great start to building a powerful engine!! I am glad that you addressed the Karen's so they will leave you alone...🤣I am definitely going to use the jack trick for head removal. I am glad that you didn't hurt yourself when the head broke free! 😱I am looking forward to seeing how this build progresses!! Keep the awesome videos coming Brother!!💯👊🏾

      I could have had a really bad day if that head landed on my foot 😂, I was a bit bummed out that the block was pitted like that but definitely Im gonna take it to the experts and let them tell me if they can save it. I really appreciate you stopping by James have an awesome weekend brother 😎🤟

    That's a good candidate for a good 408/410 stroker build there are several kits available depending on Your budget and how wild You want to go . Just think it through and make a plan . Best Wishes and Best of Luck . I know that You can and will come up with a good plan .
    Thank You 🇺🇸🇵🇷🦊👍

      Yes, I will be thinking on the best way to move forward. The stroker is what I wanted to do eventually, but I was really hopping to have a little bit of fun with the 351 while I saved for the right kit… thanks for your kind words and for watching! Will be updating soon 👍

    Great video! A shame about all the corrosion. I guess having no upper intake on it, let some water in it. Hopefully the pits aren’t too deep for machining. I’ve learned there’s no such thing as budget. Once you crack the engine open , the cash is out the door!

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  11 месяцев назад +1

      I agree! After opening it up now I am starting to worry that an overbore may not take care of the the deepest pits, but I have to take it and find out for sure. If it’s no good Im gonna have to find a decent core and go from there, but it won’t be cheap 😂. Thanks for dropping by Rick!

    I just got one of these engines yesterday. I'm undecided as to whether to make it a street and strip engine or a blown race engine. I'll decide after the machine shop tells me the condition of the block.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  2 месяца назад

      Awesome! I wish you good luck, most of the time engines are in good or at least rebuildable shape, mine was super rough because it sat outside without being properly covered and water got inside! I really hope yours is better 🤟

    • @VGHCX
      @VGHCX 2 месяца назад +1

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987 One of the pistons is stuck in the cylinder due to rust. I don't want to risk damaging it any further. If the block does not need more than a .030 overbore then I'll probably go with the blown race engine.

  • @victorxavier9977
    @victorxavier9977 Год назад +2

    If the budget allows a stroker kit would be great but if not I'd go 30 over to be safe.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Год назад +1

      Yes, I was thinking along the same lines, I could do a 30 over rebuild and that way the block would technically be ready for a stroker setup down the line!

    • @alltherpm
      @alltherpm Год назад +1

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987u can't bore without pistons, every different material piston requires different clearance

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Год назад

      The pitting on the bores is pretty bad, if they tell me that it won’t clean up I’ll probably end up tossing it

    • @alltherpm
      @alltherpm 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987 remember. 030 over is only really. 015 on each side, I think .060 will clean it, but it doesn't have to b perfect, my engine was seized from rust, .030 cleaned it enough but machinist said if I let sit long it will come back
