- I've wanted a small campervan for the last couple of years. It had to be small enough that I could use as a car if I needed to and to be able to get down the back lane and park it at the end of the garden.
This one had the layout that I wanted. I've never liked the ones with a side kitchen and a rock and roll bed because the beds can only fold out to be a double, and then it fills the van. With this one, I can use it as a single bed and still have room in the van, or it could be a double if I wanted it to be.
Just watched and I love it! Not too big, not too small. I’m sure as time passes you will mod so things. Great find
Yeah I spent a few bob on the fridge and the TV and the diesel night heater and of course, the toilet lol to get it to how I wanted it, but you're right, it's the right size for its purpose as it needed to fit into so many categories. Car, camper, day van. I'd love a motor home but then it would only get used a few weeks of the year and I'd have to find somewhere to store it.
The sink fiasco sounds like something I would do 😂. Nice tour 👍🏻
Haha yeah, it was a really stupid thing to do, but at the time is seemed so obvious to soak up the water with a sponge and squeeze it into the sink 🤣
Really really happy you got the camper van you’ve always wanted! Just Brill Mart 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Mark 👍
Nice one Mart. Like the layout
Thanks Kev. It's functional and the layout is more or less what I had in mind if I was going to buy a van and convert it myself.
I'm genuinely impressed, that was a really good purchase. Well laid out and nicely done. All you can need for short breaks. 🍻
Thank you. Found it on ebay. Cost me £5k.
@@martsworld definitely worth every penny . I bet your really looking forward to summer 🌞
Cracking van nice layout, enjoy your adventures, I would get a stoplock on steering wheel.
Thanks Mark. That Stoplock suggestion is a good idea. I'm moving to a new flat next month (when they finish building it) and there's no parking there so I'll have to park it in a different street.
Excellent video. Sad there was no 'extra surprise in the boot' xD Looks great nice camper :)
Cheers Kyle. Haha yeah 'you've also got 50 grand!!'
@@martsworld ‘I also have fifty … p’ in the boot and just have single 50p or 5 x 10p pieces 😂
I thought you have won BOTB 😁however, To be really honest, That looks cool💯
Nice camper van
Thanks Martin.
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Love it
👍
Hehehyyyy enjoy !
Come on Mart, i bet you could fry an omlette in an Urus too !🤣
But could you take a dump? 🤣
@@martsworld if i won it, i'd ride with a shite on the back seat for a month 🤣🤣🤣
🤣
1st in to have a look at your camper 😎
Only one problem, the steering wheel is on the wrong side !
Haha! It'll be a pain when I do my trip down to the Italian lakes, via the Nurburgring, and the Mercedes and Porsche museums in Stuttgart. I'll need to get one of those little boxes so I don't have to keep climbing over the seats at the motorway tolls.
@@martsworld yep, you're right ! Worth the hassle then !! 😁
Hi, what’s your thoughts on the fridge? How’s it been performing? What brand etc is it? Thanks, looking at different options for our camper🚐💨
The fridge is great. The brand is 'Bingi' which I'd never heard of before but it works really well. It comes with a plug for the house as well as a 12V one. So I take it in the house, plug it in and transfer my food from the house fridge. I set it at 3 degrees and it doesn't take long at all to get to the temperature. I keep milk, butter, cheese, bacon, sausages in it and the sort of stuff that's meant to be kept cold, not just cool. It hardly uses any of the leisure batteries as it only switches itself on when the temp inside starts to rise, then it will run for about 2 or 3 minutes and switch off again. It will probably switch on more often in the summer when the ambient temperature is higher outside though.
@@martsworld thanks for the feedback. Was there a particular reason that you went for this design over an upright with a door? We’re considering both options just now so still undecided 😬
I bought the van already built so there was nowhere to put an upright fridge really and they are 3 or 4 times the price. If I was building one from scratch myself though I might have thought about one, but I do like the fact that it's portable so I can take it in the house and plug it in and stock it up first and I can put it on any of the surfaces in the van or if I decide to cook outside I can put it near the door.
