@@sacramentorealestateguide i’m an economist, and most of my colleagues would agree that Reagan had the most detrimental impact on the US economy in modern history. It’s a bit too long to type out details in the RUclips comment section, but to name a few of his poor decisions: trickle down economics, deregulation, and union busting. Nearly every economic problem of the past 2 decades can be traced back to some dumb decision Regan was involved with.
From my point of view (outside of USA proper) the most damaging factor, among those you've mentioned, is mega corporations buying up large numbers of single-family homes. IMO, banning that practice would by itself probably bring down the problem to 2014-ish levels of home affordability. But of course, that particular problem (gargantuan megacorporations) is what the USA is now systemically unable to face and solve any more.
Yes. Things would have been much better for home buyers if we didn’t have corporations and private equity firms buying up single family homes. If this continues, America may soon be a renter nation. I am ok with restrictions that would not allow these large conglomerates to buy up single family homes.
@@libertykim6438 owning your own house is still considered the American dream for many people in the US. But many feel that they have been robbed of the American dream. And that’s unfortunate.

Renting is terrible. You’re at the mercy of a landlord that often a slum lord.
