@@yolandareeder3473 I used Art Glitter Glue, but using the plastic sleeves, I would sew it if I did another one. The plastic doesn’t stick no matter what glue you use. The Art Glitter Glue worked fine on the ephemera folios I made with vellum pockets though. Hope that helps! ❤️
I love everything you do. I do not speak English well but with you I learn in a fun way. I can even understand you when you have the wrong sense of paper !! My husband is in the Usa for a few days. I asked him to see Tim Holz (giroflee) paper. it's just beautiful. Thank you very much for your videos which help me move forward.😘

Gayle. You are so cute and I enjoy your videos so so much. You are a gem!. I made pockets with the full sheet plastic protectors. Cut the slits, then sewed them up. Easy peesy and I used up the old ones that I had hanging around. Recycle and reuse. My motto💕

I know this DIY is old but I was watching it to help me make my own ephemera holders only because I have twice as many page protectors as you do. I have 2 + boxes of them. Mine came from the company I worked for when they did away with instruction books on how to use the computer operating system. There must have been 30 very large binders full. And my stash is not as large as it was, I gave a bunch to my sister to use in her junk journals. I just had to let you know you are not the only one with a ton of them. :)
So glad you had nice travels! Started an ephemera journal for myself Thurs. but tried sewing on the vellum - mistake. So only 1 page of one signature sewn - others will be glued. Craft and learn.

I just wanted to let you know, I made a folio too, I started with vellum then switched to sheet protectors but the plastic will not stick to the cardstock with glue, so I sewed mine. I have made my first folio and plan to do 3 or 4 more. Its been so much fun! But I have to watch you then pausing to get the rest completed. Its hard to wait for the glue is dry. I want to start filling it.
Looking good, Gayle! Such a great idea! I've been using one of those old Brag Book smaller albums to put my ephemera in for now but it's bulging at the seams and there are still so many blank pages. Just no more room for ephemera because the binding won't take it. LOL! I guess it's nice to be so blessed with ephemera, right? TFS, Gayle!

Gayle, if you tape the book to the table when you tape the spine to the book, it won't move around on you. That's what I do and it makes it come together much easier and quicker. Glad you're home safe and sound and Mr A. is feeling better! My turn to be sick now. Fell asleep trying to watch this video but made it through the second viewing. 😊 I'm contemplating making some porridge but don't want to get out of bed. 😋😴😁

As a fairly new subscriber, I am 'bouncing around' your videos. I saw your latest video and was wondering how to construct your ephemera folio - then 'fell into' this! Perfect! As an Aussie, I always feel my accent is as flat as the country and feel quite conscious of it when speaking 'online'. It was interesting when I lived in New Zealand, as I found I ended up adopting the kiwi accent too. I still have the occasional "are you a kiwi"? lol Some things just 'stick'! :) Your accent is sweet! And I love your laugh. So good there's another bumbling crafter out there in the universe! Welcome Home! So glad your hubby is feeling better. Hope he continues to improve. God is good. Prayers for him and your daughter. Sounds like y’all had a fun whirlwind of a weekend. Long drive for a short amount of visit time but so worth it. Love that you are using plastic pockets. I have some of those and may use them instead of vellum. I’ve got the cover made and next are the signatures after I add the pockets to the pages. Never sewn in a signature before so this could be very interesting with the thick tape I used plus the glue and fabric!!! Lol 🥴🥴🥴 Just a thought... You could just take a printed collage page and glue that on the inside pages for the ones that don’t look like you want. Then add the pocket strips to them. Also this makes them sturdier and prettier! Can’t wait to see what you think of these vs the vellum. Happy Day! Hugs!🤗🦜
Glad you got home safely and that your hubbie is better. You need to ask Santa for an edge to edge printer (or whatever they are called) so you don’t have to cut those white edges off of every paper.

Yeah it sort of looks like your 1st folio is about to burst at the seams! Good call making another one and pulling the paper backing off the tape this time *giggles*! I was wondering if you had a vacuum sealer (seal a meal type thing)? If you do it would make really quick work of sealing the plastic page protectors. I have made pouches out of them before, using my sealer.
@@theramblincrafter lol thank you, I do have some clever ideas sometimes *grins*, I just don't video my stuff. Oh the sealer also works on cereal bags, just wash them out 1st, they make great envelopes, sort of like a faux glassine.

Looking good, Gayle! Such a great idea! I've been using one of those old Brag Book smaller albums to put my ephemera in for now but it's bulging at the seams and there are still so many blank pages. Just no more room for ephemera because the binding won't take it. LOL! I guess it's nice to be so blessed with ephemera, right? TFS, Gayle!
So excited to see how to make an ephemera folio...I had seen you pull your older one out at times during other craft with me videos and I was very jealous of it, but couldn’t seem to find a tutorial on making one ( probably didn’t type in the right search words). The older folio video is called something like Making an Ephemera Folio by the Bumbling Crafter. It was a bit of a disaster, but a fun video! ❤️
Gayle, if you tape the book to the table when you tape the spine to the book, it won't move around on you. That's what I do and it makes it come together much easier and quicker. Glad you're home safe and sound and Mr A. is feeling better! My turn to be sick now. Fell asleep trying to watch this video but made it through the second viewing. 😊 I'm contemplating making some porridge but don't want to get out of bed. 😋😴😁

As a fairly new subscriber, I am 'bouncing around' your videos. I saw your latest video and was wondering how to construct your ephemera folio - then 'fell into' this! Perfect! As an Aussie, I always feel my accent is as flat as the country and feel quite conscious of it when speaking 'online'. It was interesting when I lived in New Zealand, as I found I ended up adopting the kiwi accent too. I still have the occasional "are you a kiwi"? lol Some things just 'stick'! :) Your accent is sweet! And I love your laugh. So good there's another bumbling crafter out there in the universe! Sounds like y’all had a fun whirlwind of a weekend. Long drive for a short amount of visit time but so worth it.
Love that you are using plastic pockets. I have some of those and may use them instead of vellum. I’ve got the cover made and next are the signatures after I add the pockets to the pages. Never sewn in a signature before so this could be very interesting with the thick tape I used plus the glue and fabric!!! Lol 🥴🥴🥴
Just a thought... You could just take a printed collage page and glue that on the inside pages for the ones that don’t look like you want. Then add the pocket strips to them. Also this makes them sturdier and prettier! Can’t wait to see what you think of these vs the vellum. Happy Day! Hugs!🤗🦜

You need to ask Santa for an edge to edge printer (or whatever they are called) so you don’t have to cut those white edges off of every paper.

Yeah it sort of looks like your 1st folio is about to burst at the seams! Good call making another one and pulling the paper backing off the tape this time *giggles*! I was wondering if you had a vacuum sealer (seal a meal type thing)? If you do it would make really quick work of sealing the plastic page protectors. I have made pouches out of them before, using my sealer.

@@theramblincrafter lol thank you, I do have some clever ideas sometimes *grins*, I just don't video my stuff. Oh the sealer also works on cereal bags, just wash them out 1st, they make great envelopes, sort of like a faux glassine.
