My dad always had a hanky on him. He had the red and white or blue and white for work and white with his initial on for all other times. So did all my uncles and grandpa. It was always a Christmas gift that was given every year or birthday!😊
It was my job to iron my dad’s handkerchiefs every Sunday night .

Enjoy your retirement now while you can. I retired after 58 years of working. A year later I had a major stroke and now I can’t do much of anything. I never got to do anything I wanted to do after retirement. I’ll watch however many videos you make. You, LeeAnn, Matt, Kyle, and Shanon are a blessing to me.

My late husband had his hankie at the ready every day that I knew him and yes he stuffed it in his pocket. That might have been a military thing? Leann - with you going into your busy season - I think this is a very wise move. My DIL does taxes and was about to pull her hair out today. You all take care and you know we are always here when you are.

Grandma, Grandpa and Matt, you know, I retired for medical reasons in 2015, at age 70! I took up making quilts, but I still have several quilts that need to be finished. I would absolutely love to finish them before I get too much older! LOL! I know how busy the videos keep you. Everyone has challenges, and I certainly understand the time issue. The tax season has to be. I try to be good, but I'm getting old and cranky! LOL! We are to love and pray for each other. You are all so appreciated, and we need to tell each other and encourage each other. I can appreciate the time it takes to make a video. We learn from these videos because they teach us about loving our neighbor as ourselves, and that neighbor could be next door, across the street, across the block, across the city, county, state and country. It is immediately clear that you all are all about love and caring, not just for each other but for those who have become "extended family". I think that is why your videos do so well, and because our Lord teaches us to love one another and that is what people of faith do: they love God and each other. May God continue to bless both of you with good health and happiness!

Don't feel bad about going down to two videos. We understand. And Matt is right when he said "that you both don't give yourselves enough credit!" I will tell you that getting to watch your videos has helped me greatly! The last week has been extremely tough on me, we have been trying to get moved to our country property for several months now. Everytime we scheduled the moving truck we have to cancel it and reschedule. Last week my mom took a fall and I have had to spend all my time at her house lifting her up out of her chair, help out of bed, and into wheelchair to the bathroom. Finally my sister stepped up over the weekend and is currently taking care of her so we can get moved. I'm currently packing boxes and watching your video. When I was taking care of her I played your videos for her and they helped her to pass the time and actually laughed even though she is in pain. Matt had her laughing so hard about the hankies. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share your life with all of us. From the hour's of being at the hospital with our daughter while our grandson now 4 received his chemotherapy treatments, to watching your videos while my youngest daughter had testing done at the hospital and her surgery, to just watching while caring for my mom. I will always watch any videos that the Doss family puts out! Thank You again! Much Love from our family to your family 💞
As I sit in the waiting room watching your video, I ask for prayers for my husband. He is having MOHS surgery for two spots on his head. After we finish here, we will head to the plastic surgeon for the repair. Prayers are much appreciated as we have been dealing with this for 40 years.

I'm glad you're going to take a step back & start to enjoy some of your retirement. I'm gonna tell you life is to short. My husband has been retired almost 2 years now & in August, he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, he's only 59. It caught us completely off guard because he had zero symptoms. Thank God he's doing fantastic & the doctor says he should be "cured." The point is, life is too short not to enjoy it & to work your life away. LeeAnn, it's time for you to slow down & smell the roses too!

Came back for mom March 21, 2019, which was their 76th anniversary. Those who don't believe God rewards His good and faithful servants need to wake up and see!!

Ralph, my late father always carried a hanky. I learned to iron clothes by starting with his hankies. They would be wrinkle free and then pressed into a perfect sized square for his pocket. Those hankies were always there to wipe a tear or pat a skinned knee. Lovely memories. Though, as I got older and had full laundry duties they were the bane of my existence. In my mind, at that time, they were just gross! lol.
I think that you need to do whatever fits or works best for you. Your faithful subscriber’s will be here. Take care of yourselves and do whatever is best for YOU. I’ll be praying for you

We used to teach a 3 yr old Sunday School class. One of the highlights was instruments and singing. You got something, you traded twice. "You get what you get and you don't pitch a fit," was learned quickly. The little characters reinforced it with empathy for each other, too. Thanks for the memory moment.

I think most of us will completely understand your decision to step back. I retired in 2022, and I appreciate being the master of my own schedule. Also, just to back you up, my grandfather and father both carried handkerchiefs. My husband did for years but then started keeping the little travel packs of tissues in his truck and in his coat pocket in the winter. I am looking forward to more videos from Matt! 😊

Scheduling can be the spice of life! With Lea Ann’s Regular employment, and needing to edit too, that’s a lot. I would feel terrible if the video work took away from your private family time, and time is fleeting for certain. I started watching Chad when Adler was a little fella who needed to be carried always, and here Adler is so grown up and so bright, amazing computer skills and the comedian is coming out now as well which is absolutely delightful! My prayers for you all is that your lives are never diminished due to making videos. Life happens and with it, many changes. I’m grateful that you’re all sharing your stories and such funny times with your farm animals as well, and you have many to love! It's hard this time of year with everything taking longer to do and the days feeling short. Soon you'll be planting your garden and being excited about what is growing. I can see you sitting on the porch with grandma's flowers blooming all over and being inspired about future plans and activities. If you do have something special and send out a short video on a unplanned day, think about how happy your RUclips family will be and nobody will be saying they are upset.
