It might have been cool if they had maybe explored her relationships with her cousins a little more, like maybe she learns that Camillo is always trying to make people happy because he feels like no one appreciates him or his parents always seemed stressed out, or maybe how hard Deloris has it hearing everyone's problems and it makes her despressed sometimes
Not just that but I feel like the music itself really captured the sense of freedom Isa must have felt finally being able to express her true self and not have to worry about being perfect
The craziest part of this movie to me was the fact that there wasn't really an "antagonist". More so just family misunderstandings and I really think we, as viewers, needed that
Yup. In my opinion, here are the “antagonists” of Encanto: • **The Faceless Horsemen** invade Pedro and Alma’s village and ruthlessly conquer it, killing Pedro in the process. • **Alma Madrigal** ‘s perfectionist mindset ultimately causes the fall of Casa Madrigal. • **Bruno** is built up to be a villain but is actually a good guy (doesn’t even technically belong on this list) • And finally, **Isabela** is an antagonistic, self-absorbed, entitled b**ch towards Mirabel, but only for the first half/first two-thirds of the movie at best; she definitely gets better later on.
yeah cuz her entire life she's been doing everything for the good of her family and everyone else around her. She's anything but selfish, being willing to suffer through a marriage with someone you don't even like for the sake of her family. That's why that was the word that hit the hardest
I mean yeah! She had basically given up her whole life and her true self just to let abuela and the family be comfortable and happy, pretty selfless if you ask me
Isabela got triggered when Mirabel said her a "Selfish" princess because she misunderstood that Isabela sacrifices her dreams just to impress Abuela and the family by being perfect
I mean, it is true tho, similarly to luisa, in a group so important that the entire village depends on it, you really can't be half assed, if everyone wants you to be perfect or strong or useful or beautiful or whatever, you just gotta do abuela made the family into the villager's property, and then started neglecting everyone, so, this theme of her siblings fits so well within the plot

It wasn't until she did so that Mirabel would truly begin to understand the real issues with the magic-- that being the metaphorical cracks caused by her family struggling under the weight of Abuela's expectations. The only reason why the miracle wasn't saved was because Abuela herself wasn't yet willing to come to terms with the harm she caused her own family, it wasn’t until the miracle faded and the Casita crumbled to pieces despite Mirabel's best efforts that she finally realized the error of her ways.

Isabela: "Luisa can't lift an empanada. Mariano's nose looks like a smashed papaya. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND???" Mirabel, an empath: "Isa, I can feel you are upset..."
For my family, each of my siblings are 6 and 7 years apart from me. My sister is 11, I'm 17, my brother is 23. My sister and my brother get along fantastically, but they both used to despise me. (In a sibling way of course, my brother had my back and i have my sisters back.) I think siblings relationships depend a lot on the age of the siblings. Since we're so far removed from each other, I guess it makes sense that I'm the odd one out. XD My brother used to carry my sister on his shoulders, throw her in the air, listen to her crazy stories. I'd be just on the sidelines lol, now that my brother moved out me and my sis got closer, we both miss him a bunch.
The closer you're in age the more you fight your siblings. And if the gap is ten or more years it's a different dinamic. I'm the oldest, ten years older than my sister and eleven from my brother. They use to fight aaaaalll the time, even now that they are older and she is studying abroad, they can get upset and don't speak for months. But they don't really fight with me that much. I was like a third parent, looking after them, helping them with school, breaking up their fights (Yes I identify with Luisa)... That's why you use to argue so much with them but they get along just fine.
Wait, Isabela didn’t WANT to marry Mariano in the first place, right? So shouldn’t she be *thanking* Mirabel for ruining the proposal dinner, instead of being mad at her? I’m probably missing something, though.
Yes, Isabela did not want to marry Mariano. Isabela was only going to marry Mariano to make her grandmother happy. Her grandmother wanted her to get married so Isabela will have children to receive a magical power. Her grandmother is only concerned with making sure that everyone in the family has a gift to benefit the town.
"The family was happy" Isa said before the What Else Can I do? music number. She didn't thank Mira in that scene because, even if she had felt relieved, the whole dinner was ruined and Abuela was not happy, and Isawas going along with it because of Abuela, which outweighted her own happiness.
@@bluebaron9392 she was mad cause she is thinking about her abuela/grandma’s reaction and reputation to their marriage instead of herself and she knows how much abuela wants this marriage and the kids and isa whould be so disappointed knowing that her granny is upset that this proposal went wrong .

"SeNoRiTa PeRfEcTa IsAbElLa🙄😒" was so funny when mirabel said that
0:40 okay but that looks like a foreshadowing of the hug that's gonna happen around the end of the movie
That gasp from Isabela was perfect 😂😂😂
I love how at the end isabela shrieks
They are great sisters!!
“She’s a perfect ✨”Golden Child”✨”
*sniff sniff*
*Is that... PASSIVE AGGRESSIVENESS I SMELL???*
mirabel, an empath, sensing isabela's upset
1:22
Isabel's eye roll is so violent that it made me question my entire identity.
I always love the way she says "Let's hug it ouut!" And the little way she moves
0:32 LMFAO I KEPT REPLAYING THIS PART WHILE WATCHING THIS 💀
It’s funny how when you think about it, Mariano never really *loved* Isabela. He just “had so much love inside” and really only probably chose her for her status and beauty. The second Dolores showed interest he dropped Isabela.
Hope Encanto 2 progresses their relationship.
When mirabel is so impressed with isabela because she is a golden child
Isabella who hates mirabel:
Beacuse mirabel has long patience unlike perfects
@@AuroraExhale hahahahah true
@Nadia Murphy yes
🤣🤣"Mariano's nose looks like smashed papaya"🤣🤣🤣🤣
If it wa just the battle of Mirabel and Isabella the movie would still be an hour long lol 😂
Yup!, Uncle Bruno was right during his vision.
Bruno to Mirabel: you're fighting, wait is that a hug ?
Mirabel to Bruno: am i hugging or fighting ?
Bruno: uhmmmm.... and embrace, Ah!, is a hugging, embraced
Mirabel: who i was hugging ?
Bruno: wait for it, just a little bit ....
* Vision appeared on sand screen *
Mirabel: UHGGGHHHHHH !!!!!!!....... ISABELLA !!!!??????!!!!!!!
“Every time”
1:14 “Mariano s’ nose looks like a smashed papaya” 😂😭
How dare you leave out the part in “We don’t talk about Bruno” and Mirabel makes the 😒🙄 face when Isabellas solo comes on
Just Isabella rolling her eyes at everything mirabel says EVER 😂😂
So that's what it's like having siblings
0:15 No paro de repetirlo JAJAJAJAJ Es que es tan gracioso.
If Isabela was in mean girls she would have this kind of personality😂
Isabella is too mean to be a Mirabelle
Thank you, no one seems to acknowledge that
Idk why Isabel is being mean to her sister since the beggining of the movie, I don't really like her that much but IT'S MY OPINION.
@@mostakira7405 did you like, not watch the movie?
"Luisa cant lift empanada."
"Mariano's nose look's like a smashed papaya."
"Have you lost your mind."
Got me out laughing when i saw it again and again
I think Abuela force Isabela to hate Mirabel not because she's her annoying sister but Mirabel is definition of "Imperfect and not special"
And Mirabel keeps messing up with her but in reality she's trying to kill her perfection without knowing
I love How They Fight Cutelyy.
If this wasn't disney that fight in Isabela's room would have had a lot more curses 😂
I laughed so hard for no reason when she spit out the flower 🌸 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isa: Did someone say, flowers?
Mirabel: Pfft..🤦🏽♀️
2:28 THAT HIGH PITCHED VOICE LOLLLL
1:01 I love Mirabel's awkward face while she says "we should just.... hUg!"
1:04 she even made a little dance when she says "lets hug it out"
I think you can see the entire encanto movie just by seeing the musics and these little clips lol
Imagine if they had a physical fight like both of them pulling each other’s hair. 😭💀
The end the end WOO THATS MY FAVE PART💜🌸
Here I notice that when Isabela says "Everything was perfect, Abuela was happy, the family was happy" but she didn't mention that she was happy herself, slightly implying that she only did it for the sake of the family rather than her own happiness.
Can't get over the pair SMASHING into each other---Mirabel's face, Isabela's ire and the explosion of petals...Why is it so funny?!
I love her boss entrance, put some BGM on it will be dope
Go on apologize....
I... am... sorry
..
THAT YOUR LIFE IS SOOO GREAT
I love when the faces get zoomed 👁️👄👁️
HER SHRIEK AT THE END. 😭😭
that very disgusted apology is monumental scene. lol.
Me and my older sister fought a lot, then we got into our teens and decided that going against our parents was easier then each other. Now we just vibe and get drunk.
The thumbnail is better than my straight A's in school
I can’t begin to understand how disney thought kids would want an Isabela doll over a Luisa doll
To be fair, kids do want Isabela dolls but DARK dress-messy-free-happy colourful TRUE Isabela! Kids can how happy she was at the endso why would they want a doll of her pretending* she is perfect while being miserable inside + looking like every other Disney princess?? If they were smart they would have TOnS of Luisa merch and Cactus Isabela merch. I would so buy them
They want both though
yep, they want both dolls but mostly kids would like the REAL Isabela with that colourful dress and growing all types of plants! And a strong cool Luisa for sure. The fact Disney thought they would only* want the flowery princess ones says a lot of how much they underestimate do not understand their targeted audience
The thumbnail looks like they were forced to hug lmao
Isabela: "Luisa can't lift an empanada. Mariano's nose looks like a smashed papaya. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND???"
Mirabel, an empath: "Isa, I can feel you are upset..."
For my family, each of my siblings are 6 and 7 years apart from me. My sister is 11, I'm 17, my brother is 23. My sister and my brother get along fantastically, but they both used to despise me. (In a sibling way of course, my brother had my back and i have my sisters back.)
I think siblings relationships depend a lot on the age of the siblings.
@@AnekoFoxx Shouldn’t she be *happy* that the dinner was thwarted, then? Instead of initially blowing up at Mirabel?
"The family was happy" Isa said before the What Else Can I do? music number. She didn't thank Mira in that scene because, even if she had felt relieved, the whole dinner was ruined and Abuela was not happy, and Isawas going along with it because of Abuela, which outweighted her own happiness.
And that's why she said "abuela was happy" not "i was happy"
@@bluebaron9392 she was mad cause she is thinking about her abuela/grandma’s reaction and reputation to their marriage instead of herself and she knows how much abuela wants this marriage and the kids and isa whould be so disappointed knowing that her granny is upset that this proposal went wrong .
I feel like Dolores heard this whole argument
I like how mirabel and isabela relationship goes from "😒🙄🤨😐" to "🥰🥺🤗🫂"
ehh it went more liike 😶🙄😤😮💨 to 😮💨👍👍👍
it's not like their relationship was ULTRA bad, and they definitely aren't super close-buddy-buddy with each other now, isabella would of always been like that with mirabel if she had gotten the chance to loosen up
Isabella is like those queen bee people's who ar like daddy's girl and have a lot of money
"all you've done for me is f it up"
Those weren’t her exact words, but…
Mirabel: WANNA 1V1 BRAT?
*isabel’s mind*:ugh this sista 😃
Isabela: apologies for RUINING MY LIFE
Bully Maguire: I missed the the part where that's my problem
Isabela: HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!!!!
I love it how Isabela said, did someone say flowers
I'm so glad that Mirabel and Isabela patched things up and Isabela got proper character development. I was concerned that she was going to remain this perfect, spoiled brat for the entirety of the movie.
I'm glad too, cuz I didn't like Isabela
We always thought she was a “spoiled brat” but once we learn from her perspective, she know why she did it.
Lol when she says PapAyA I love it when you zoom into them lol it’s so funny
Alr as the oldest sibling, Isa has the "Get. Out." down to a T with the pointing and pissed off "dont try me" tone.
I swear, any sibling will have heard that or said that at least once before-
You just made it a lot more funny 😆
Mirabel wins 100%
it's lovely how the dialogue in this movie (for the most part) sounds like it actually belongs in a conversation :>
I think Mirabel won! 😎
