This is a bit of a roller coaster... but I'm impressed with these. Are you going to pick one up?
UPDATE: According to Weeylite, if you have firmware 1.0 it will only work with the Weeylite app, but if you have v1.1 or above it will work with the Weeylite pro app.

The effects might be a touch gimmicky, but I too had the chance to review a couple of Weeylite lights and I do keep using them, both for RUclips and photoshoots. It's nice to have a cheaper alternative that is actually useable.

I completely agree, I've used them on nearly every shoot since I got them. They're the best little pocket light I've seen, and I only reach for something else if I need better effects or more output.

Excellent review, great real world examples, thanks. Found them and you via K60 coverage. Am now pretty convinced to switch from Yongnuo YN360 III Pro (and a small panel) to these, mostly due to size, K60 carry case and internal battery (YN uses NPs, clamped on). YN app is also slightly laggy in response, at least on my iphone xs.

I just ordered the more expensive version of this from Amazon. $163Can but I was willing to pay more for a 6 hr battery and an AC (mains) to USB plug-in. Strangely enough, it bears the same name K21? Weird

They're quite good, they come in at 95 CRI.
