I was in Imola in the last race and the sound of Alpine Mecachrome engine was like art. Like they compromised speed and power and concentrated all R&D to develop the best combination of V6 engine and turbocharger sound. You could listen to it all day!

alpine seems to lose a lot of speed once crossed the uphill of eaurouge, it went from about 280km/h to 260 while ferrari and lambo crossed it faster according to their onboard telemetry

Driver lifted at blanchimont too wich was unusual. That corner is almost always flat out even in FP with these cars.

The alpine A424 engine is the Mechachrome V634, the same one used in F2, of course properly customized for endurance racing.
