If you didn’t know what those sounds were, they’re pretty terrifying. We’re used to them here in the Midwest. It’s actually a comforting sound to me, they carry on most of the night when we go camping.
i just heard some, theres a cow pasture with about 300 head of cattle and im pretty sure they got one, there was a weird call, it was like 3 barks at a fast pace all at once and it was repetitive, i just called the owner of the pastures wife so she can get him up there to make sure everything's okay, they had someone up there sitting hunting the coyotes but he was Def on the wrong side, never heard any gunshots just seen a light and a truck stationary
I’m pretty sure I just heard some kill some kind of small animal that screeches but they didn’t howl after the screeching stopped there was just silence. The small animal however did sound like it was in pain during the fight . Idk if it was really coyotes but it was definitely violent
We were awakened this morning at 2:30am by one going off right outside our open bedroom window with the most horrendous guttural screaming type call that went on for what seamed like a minute, but was probably 30 seconds
I'm from New Zealand myself. Admittedly a pretty boring place lmao. The sounds of the coyote send chills down my spine, they're beautiful animals but their calls are quite unsettling to me.
I just heard a similar noise close by when taking my dog out a few minutes ago. At 4 AM. Big nope. Turned right back around. Thanks for making this video… definitely adds clarity.
same!! im at work right now and recently there have been coyote sightings near by but i havent seen them so i didnt think much of it, but i can hear them right now as i type this and i cant wait for my shift to be over 😅😭
I live in a heavily wooded area and when I am home alone at night they scream really loud and before I knew it was a coyote I could have sworn it was a skin walker
That’s why I’m here in Oct 2024. I live rural, and hear coyotes all the time. But last night when they were done yipping and moved on, there was one lone wolf (pun intended) that sounded like ginormous owl 🦉 hooting with a single loud screech at the end. It continued for at least 10 mins.
Got the annoying neighbor’s dog and dog owner. Had a outdoor speaker put outside, hooked to a bluetooth device and oh boy the fun got started. Lmao big time. 3:16
I’m a coyote therian and these videos helped me realize my the theriotype because I made these noises during shifts but didn’t know what animal made that noise 😂
I wish you had some captioning for different situations that evoke these particular sounds… In the first couple of minutes it sounded like a human whistling, but I wasn’t sure… Also, the video imagery not matching. The sound was confusing at first. Thanks for sharing these. We have several coyote packs, competing for territory in our wooded neighborhood and lately I’ve heard lots of sounds from my backyard after midnight that are so strange I couldn’t identify them. It’s like a cross between a bird screech, and definitely a call of distress… I wasn’t sure if it was, something being killed by a coyote or a coyote itself. The closest sound to the horrible sound I’ve heard is right around 9:14 so that’s helpful … not exactly the same, but similar.
I live in a very wooded area where there's always coyotes at night. They always make this odd "duck" sound, where they all band together and yip but it sounds like a flock of ducks! Had my family so freaked out for days until we saw that it was just yotes 😂
I’m in Ohio and I’m smoking a cig at night and heard the sound of a coyote or dog quite interesting how similar they sound but def a coyote. I live by the woods so would make a lot of sense. It made a repetitive nose over and over again like whoo whoo whoo who, ohwwww ohw interesting
I think I just heard 1 tonight while outside smoking but it sounded like it was no more than 100 feet away from me… sounded like some kind of alarm I def hit the panic button
I heard something I was not familiar with this morning making noise outside my window, it was way to dark to see anything but my suspicion is that it was either a fox or coyote.
Shouldn't need to be too afraid. Coyotes are wary animals who rarely attack humans, they mostly prefer to avoid us. If you have a little dog with you though, keep that baby inside if you hear these noises.
Lordie i dont want to go through 15 minutes of sounds...already know the yipping but just want to know of the hacking sound outside my window last night could have been q coyote
Mmm I couldn’t tell if it was a mama coyote n babies or a fox. It seemed smaller but definitely kinda barked weirdly at me when I was trying to shoo it away
most of these sounds i reconize i live in the midwest like most the pople here so i know these sounds but im trying to identify the sounds of something i heard two seperate nights, as neither of them sounded like any animal or person ive heard before

I was in my backyard just a bit ago and heard it my ass went back inside

I heard them when I got him around 1am today with my cane corso- told him to get back in the car -

This video helped me identify the sound i heard while deer hunting.
Coyotes always make me think of camping in California, but the wildest time I heard their calls was late at night in an Indianapolis cemetery.
Got the annoying neighbor’s dog and dog owner. Had a outdoor speaker put outside, hooked to a bluetooth device and oh boy the fun got started. Lmao big time. 3:16
2:18 I hear that while bringing food to my chickens at night after dinner
I am a coyote Therian and I really needed to watch this video because I didn’t know what vocals coyotes do. So thank you for posting this video.
Hey I'm a coyote therian too!! :D
Me too!
Same here:)
@@Pinefamz You guys should look into getting a Coyote Diaphragm caller, they make great coyote sounds! (I'm a coyote too!)
I’m a coyote therian and these videos helped me realize my the theriotype because I made these noises during shifts but didn’t know what animal made that noise 😂
Heard some of these last night for about an hour down the street in my development.
proud to say I can accurately make these noises lmao, I love scaring my neighbors and people while camping and stuff LOL
Bro any tips? I wanna scare my neighbors in the night >:)))
I’m not letting my dog outside because I hear the coyote screaming like a siren lol. Why is it screaming like that?
I live in a city, I hear all these sounds AND MORE!
Trying to do vocals
ME TOOI
Same! Questioning theriotype yk how it is

The second clip almost sounds like they are howling with the ambulance noise
wow that is a fucking terrifying sound but also funny going along with the ambulance lol
I think they are. My dog used to howl along with sirens.

We have a pack that every spring the new babies come by our fence and play with my dogs.
Yeah.. a little juvenile coyote played with my border collie through the fence. They’re pretty cool when they’re small
That's adorable!!! :3
Y’all I just had the shit scared out of me take this noise and times it by ten I just heard that out side my window at 12 in the morning 💀
Well they are canines, after all. Dogs don't usually howl like that however
So this is what I just heard outside my bedroom window, but it was a bunch of them 😮😱

1:34 heard this exact sound in the middle of the night walking my dog. Hopefully it was 2 coyotes fighting and not them getting someone’s pet
2:11 was scary
It's so hard to make these noises 😭 I'm home alone but I get too shy
This is like a bad Chinese movie where the audio doesn’t match the video.
Lordie i dont want to go through 15 minutes of sounds...already know the yipping but just want to know of the hacking sound outside my window last night could have been q coyote
can coyotes turn to we digos
No for real I'm going back inside
Mmm I couldn’t tell if it was a mama coyote n babies or a fox. It seemed smaller but definitely kinda barked weirdly at me when I was trying to shoo it away
just serenade it with your keyboard mugi!!!
Def know what that now is Im in fl btw
Por amar a mis hijos
Is that a wolf or coyote 4:52!? If it's a coyote, what part of N America are they particular to!?
If you are referring to the image, yes it's a coyote with very thick hair.
They get thick hair like that in the northern, colder climate.
I love him i want him to protect me please
6:42 😳
puppies!!
It really sucks that they sound like evil women dying. One scared the shit out of me just now trying to take my dog out.
lol my high ass heard one and the first sound was exactly what i heard Lol
most of these sounds i reconize i live in the midwest like most the pople here so i know these sounds but im trying to identify the sounds of something i heard two seperate nights, as neither of them sounded like any animal or person ive heard before
