I loved Anna’s character growth. She was very dauntless and headstrong in Frozen and because of almost dying and losing her sister, she became very cautious and meticulous with every decision she makes in Frozen 2. She felt like she had to protect everyone and was scared when she was in the cave. That whole scene and song was SPECTACULAR. Very moving. It was something I could connect with.
Getting anxious, paranoid, insecure and hostile towards Kristoff yet stands on top of the dam while giants are throwing rocks at it is not really catious or part of any character growth imho lol
@@SueMeriah Anna behavior towards Kristoff in some scenes was out of character and I didn't also didn't like it though I could see that Disney was trying to be funny. However, though her insecurity wasn't good, her misunderstanding Kristoff's comment about danger and becoming anxious in the forest was understandable. She isn't perfect, but op is right about her character growth overall.
Pamela I mean, let's take into consideration that she spent most of her life away from her sister, lost the only people that were truly close to her, and her first contact with love, as platonic as it was, was a complete disaster. She also almost died(actually killed by her own sister), so I'm pretty sure she has all the reasons to get as paranoid as she was, just saying.
When i first saw the movie i though it was "Retardedly" realistic... Like just look all the detail's on the rock's,and pumpkin that Oaken place'd on the table during "Something's never change" ,the clothing, and Elsa's dress during the time they were in The Forest. The Dark sea, yeah that was retardedly realistic to me,the water flow's on The Nokk are insane... I can fully agree with someone if they said it's the most realistic animated movie ever... Except for the tennis ball sized human eyeball's.
I actually like this movie more than the first movie. The story was interesting, Elsa and Anna's character development were handle better, and the songs were very enjoyable. Plus, I love that they gave Elsa and Anna's parents a bigger role and gave them a reason why they left in the first film. In my opinion, Frozen II was an improvement over the first film, because I had some issues with the first film that I didn't enjoy. Glad y'all enjoy this movie. I hope you guys plan on watching some other Classic Disney animated films in the future.
"Show Yourself" was hands down the best song in the movie. That song was the true "Let It Go" of this movie. There are so many musical similarities between the two songs, and the lyrics feel like "Show Yourself" is a more mature version of "Let It Go." I always tear up at "Come, my darling homeward bound" and then just completely break down as the last chorus hits. I'm trans and "Show Yourself" feels like me going through my tradition. Frozen was about self-acceptance. Frozen II is about self-actualization.
This movie has a special place in my heart. I love the first frozen but this movie hit home for me. My oldest sister died just shy of a year ago when I saw this in theaters with my other sister and we both sobbed through Anna's song when she thought Elsa was gone. I was already emotional because I was aware that the connection between siblings is the thread throughout the movie and I was with my now only sister, and that song sent me over the edge. Then I saw the movie again like a month later with my best friend who lost her Dad to cancer in the same time frame as I lost my sister and we just looked at each other and cried through half the movie lol. I loved watching you guys react to it.
Omg Frozen 2! I watched this in the cinema and absolutely loved it! The soundtrack is so good and have been listening to it on repeat since then. I’m so happy to see you guys reaction to it (especially since that means it’s out on DVD now ;D) and hope you’ll enjoy it! ❤️
I love you guys so much! You really helped me dealing with my social anxiety and depression. I've laughed with you, I've cried with you.. and I wanna thank you so much 🙏💕 (P.s. please watch "Inside Out", I'm sure you'll love & enjoy it)
Now you should def watch the shorts "Frozen Fever" and "Olaf's Frozen Adventure", that happen between Frozen 1 and 2. Also, my favorite character in all the movies is Kristoff for sure! And loved that they finally gave him a full song in Frozen 2. And what a wonderful song it was.
@@Irisleis but the reason frozen got more attention is because of youtube algorithm and other sources like insta and more that's why but rotg wasn't in many people's algorithm that would explain why
The ending seemed similiar to HTTYD: The Hidden World in way where they have to separate because of their destinies/purpose, but still can see each other whenever they'd like to.
During the battle King Agnarr described at the beginning, he was injured and would have died if not for a certain Northaldra girl. This created a chance to rebuild the trust between the two nations. The Fifth Spirit accompanied them back to Arundel and, when they got married, was born into their children.
Also, this movie has an important historical message and connection. The Northuldra are inspired by the indigenous Sami people who live in northern Norway (and a bit of northern Sweden). Arendelle is like the kingdom of Norway. During the late 1800s, Norway attacked and colonized the Sami and committed cultural genocide. In the 1970s and '80s, Norway tried to build a dam on the Alta River, which would destroy a Sami village. The dam was eventually built, but the protesting against the dam built a movement to restore Sami culture and eventually, Norway started mending ties with the Sami people. The choral song that the Northuldra sang and that played during the title of the first movie was inspired by yoik, a traditional style of singing in Sami culture.
elsa and kristoff have been my favorites since the first movie but i absolutely love everyone and all the new characters as well! such a adorable movie🥺
IF they make a Frozen III, I like the thought that it would be a total Disney Queen(s) movie. Also, there's some easter eggs featuring Dumbo, Bolt, Baymax AND Ariel. And the Enchanted Forest is inspired by the forest in Sleeping Beauty. My experience with Frozen II, I was very vigilant when it came to avoiding anything related to it on social media for nine whole months last year! I only saw the first teaser where she ran across the water and that was it. So much gets spoiled the more trailers you watch or interviews you read, etc. When I FINALLY got to see Frozen II, I was blown away by how good it turned out. I myself was nervous because Disney sequels usually don't do well but I've heard more good about it than bad. My favorite song I come back to the most is Show Yourself. The moment with her mother made me emotional and my friends also loved that scene. I really loved the characters in this. I felt they all had their moment to shine, especially Anna. And I loved the ending. Initially, I was sad when I thought they weren't living together anymore. I wondered why there wasn't a goodbye until i realized that's not what was happening here. They were still going to see each other and Elsa could show up anytime. I will say for Kristoff, somewhere online, there's this edit showing a contrast between Hans and Kristoff and how they were with Anna, which I think is cute. I liked how they portrayed him in this movie. Yes, he was invested in trying to propose to Anna, but I think he learned to be patient with her and wait for a better time to be there for her and be open with his feelings. I also liked that his proposal wasn't flashy or trying to get it right (speaking of, check out the deleted scene of Get This Right), she was going to love it and him coming just as he was. I do agree though that there could've been ore of their dynamic, but I loved their relationship still. And lastly, what did you guys think when you realized that chant from both movies was a Northuldra song??? That blew my freaking mind!!!
When a ruling Queen chooses to marry she stays the ruling queen & the husband becomes "princely" aka "husband to the queen". So Kristoff dosnt become king & cant mess things up, no worries :D In american terms you can think of Kristoff as the "1st lady" i guess. Dosnt have much to say as a ruler perhaps but can be fairly "loud" anyway. You can see examples in real life like the Queen of England or Denmark who both married but are both ruling queens. Of cause modern monacy is a lot more confusing, like they can marry who they like/love, can resign & get divorced etc.
I love the storyline better in the second one...because I love the exploration of unknown lands but the first is still my favorite! Character wise, first one because there was an actual villain, but story plot, second. Also them separating is good for Anna so not worry so much and focus so much on her sister.
I thought I had outgrown Disney animations.....I was wrong........VERY WRONG....top 3 best movie this year. The animation is so clean and intricate unlike any I've ever seen.
the people of the enchanted forrest is based on the real life Sami people of the northern sweden, norway, finland and russia. christoffer can never become king, as a consort of the queen he is only a prince and queens-consort. the runes on the icechards is based on real runes. the lizzard is a salamader, wich is actually more related to frogs and toads than actual lizzards. last but not the least, the waterhorse is based on the "näcken", or also called Bäckahästen, the horse of the stream, the "näcken" has many forms, mostly as a horse in this case or as a young naked man playing the fiddle to lure people down into the stream.

Fun fact; while creating the water animation, they actually had to “tone it down”, if you will. The water looked too realistic for an animated film
Yes!!!! You're so right. There are certain scenes of the forest that are down right realistic. But the animation is the best ever done. So good.
