I always liked seeing Dan and Roz interact because underneath the insults there was some genuine moments of friendship. I do hope that they do a tribute of some kind to the other members of the original Night Court who are no longer with us.
A tribute to former cast members would be epic.
@@AveIvy It's always nice when the new cast pays tribute to the old as a sign of respect.
I agree 💯❤
I was gutted when we lost Richard just recently. I was hoping that he would make a cameo on the new show. I'm really pleased with it so far. But now, there's no chance of Richard ever making a cameo like this. I would have loved to hear, "Ooookay!" one last time.
I really wish Bull could have made an appearance before passing away!!
The last 2 living cast members of the original Night Court cast 😢
Well Roz wasn't the original bailiff, but I think we get what you mean. The original bailiffs dropped like flies.
That's got to be a one hell of a feeling. Being part of an ensemble cast with most of them gone and wondering when your turn's coming.
@@theoneandonly6431glad there's only 1 you debbie downer .
@@James_St._James EXACTLY!
Ellen Foley and Karen Austin are still around.
Dan was there for Roz when she was first suffering from the effects of untreated diabetes. It is so nice to see those two characters back together even for a brief time.
I have not forgotten that. Wonderful.
I remember that episode
@@atworkstation it was a very touching episode.
Wasn't that the one where she was on the roof ledge and dan asked her to hit him?
I was hoping for Dan and Roz to end up together. I guess they are just good friends.
It might never be the same show we grew up with in the 80’s, but damn there was just a little magic left to make me grin from ear to ear… 😊
Same..
Oh yea
Yeah. Back then it was raw and gritty and a real audience. Not the laugh track.
yeah, I looked at this and it had all the charm of the original, those moments when you knew there was a real bond.
AWESOME to see these 2 Legends from the original “Night Court” series. Unfortunately, we lost Richard Moll back in October & the icing on the cake would’ve been if he was here to say his signature “Oooo-Kaay” in this scene. Thanks for the 😂 Marsha Warfield & John Laroquette.
If I'm not mistaken, another _original_ cast member is still alive.
@@AllRequiredKaren Austin? I mean she left during season 1 though so
Unfortunately, Richard Moll didn't have any interest being part of a new series or reprising his role.
@@sun_chariot6141 Right. My impression was that there were some hard feelings there.
@@richardwhiskers7834And had Moll reprised his role it would've been the 'Bailiff Curse' all over again.
This is like being reunited with friends you haven't seen in years!!! ❤❤❤
It makes it more heartbreaking to know these two are like the last of the main cast alive, that were in the most seasons. 😭
"She was a person, but she gave it up to be a lawyer." 😁
Interesting note about Warfield is that she was a replacement part for a replacement part, each in response to the death of the predecessor (both of whom she has outlived).
Larroquette, meanwhile, is one of the few surviving original cast members; Richard Moll died two months ago at 80.
Damn. I didn't know he died. I was holding out hope he would show up on the show.
Yeah, I remember, they were both older ladies but both little fireballs
This show surprised me. I didn’t expect much from a reboot with a new cast of characters. But the writing is sharp. The actors are on the mark. And the old chemistry among the newcomers shines, if that makes sense. Bravo to Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette and the others for making this enjoyable viewing.
💯
Agreed 👍😊🎉
Yes, it was a good transition but a similar feel.😊 I have to catch up to the latest episode.
It'll never be like it was, today's writer's will never cut Dan loose the way he should be written, people nowadays would blow a gasket.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
OMG!!!! I miss Roz & Fielding so much. Their snark is legendary.
Roz and Dan weirdly had a special relationship. He even saved her life by giving her insulin when no one else could.
Night court ended with Roz pushing Dan off the rescue boat.
the best part was his delayed response of her punching him.
I remember that episode
My favorite part of this scene:
Dan: It's Good to see you Roz!
Roz: You too Fielding!
I'm waiting for Brent Spiner to come back to reprise his role.
Oh yeah! Totally.
That would be awesome!
Who knows ? He might be up for a laugh.....
That's one of the main reasons why I watched season 1.
They need to bring back my favorite Yugoslavian recidivist knucklehead.
It's sad that Dan and Roz are the only ones from the original series that are alive 😢
Markie Post is alive still I believe?
Nevermind.. I just saw she passed in 2021. 😢
Both Bob and June Wheeler are still alive.
Should bring Brent Spiner back
@@markdunham9634 Incredibly so is John Astin, the man who played Harry Stone's father Buddy ("But I'm feeling MUCH better now!"). He turned 94 this year, but has been retired from acting since 2021.
Beautiful scene, nice to see these actors toge4her again even if it's only to pay fan service. I hope the first episode of the new season is dedicated on memory of Richard Moll who played Bull Shanon in the original series. He passed on recently.
@knightrcer Bull was my mom’s favorite character. She’d let me stay up later than my normal bedtime of 8pm as a little kid to watch it with her.
Same..😢❤
Harry Weston died I guess.
@@dustinolvey8877 You're thinking of Richard Mulligan, who died back in 2000.
John and Marsha are the only two members of the original cast left after Richard Moll's recent passing. I'm glad they got them together one more time.
Not the original, but the best and longest cast on the show.. Marsha joined the show in it's 4th season. So from 1986 to 1992 the core cast has passed. The show started in 1984.
@@Heartboy1031 Good catch. They are the only two cast members left from when the original show ended.
Marsha Warfield!!
I loved Night Court, and she was a big reason why. She was the only one Bull (Richard Moll) was scared of. Lol
Richard Moll. Richard Mulligan was Dr. Harry Weston on "Empty Nest".
@@chriskay1449 I stand corrected!
oh no, lol. bull was scared of Thelma (the first one) too. i just watched an episode where she threatened him and he backed down (season 1 i think) lol
i mean Selma
I was hoping Richard Moll (aka: Bull) would've made an appearance at some point. Sadly though, he passed away this year. 😢😢
When
when they first announced the new show he'd already said he wasn't coming back. apparently he'd had some problems with the crew of the original show or something like that so he had no intention of returning for the new one. besides, even he /had/ wanted to return, they'd have to come up with some convoluted reason for him returning to Earth from Saturn.
@@DOGSNDOLPHINSRAWESOME within the last month or so. Google him
@@ruroken77 Jupiter.
Given his feelings about the show and about Laroquette in particular after the end, it would have been a long shot.
Damn...the feels.
I loved this show as a kid. I had no idea about the criminal process , still dont....but the skits were funny. HARRY, Bull and Dan funny AF.
I was born in 78. Really enjoyed this clip. Brought back memories. Ty.
Born in 78 too brother. Grew up on Night Court and Married with Children
Miss the old crew of night Court one of the best shows on TV and there is no defeating that
Well hello there Roz ❤ Awesome to see ya again hopefully you can be a part of the show again ❤😊
I keep hoping we will find out more about what happened to the OG Night Court characters. So many of them has passed on but what about Christine's son or Mac's daughter? They could provide some insight.
I've watched the reboot and haven't been impressed after the first three or four episodes, with the exception being any scene with Larroquette. And now this scene with him and Warfield. This is the best two minutes of the new show I've seen.
Marsha Warfield is Awesome
I am both happy and sad watching this. Happy for the reunion. Sad for those cast members who are no longer with us.
And the show's creator
Seeing Roz just warms my heart!!!
I hope they mention Harry, Christine, Mac and Bull.
It’s hard to believe within the last two years, we lost Mack, Christine and Bull, (Charles Robinson, Markie Post & Richard Moll).
I’m really hoping to see John Astin guest star. It would be great to see Abby and her grandpa
At almost 94 years old, I would imagine he is retired by now!!
@@brianmcdonald6519 probably but it would still be cool
He used to be crazy, but he's much better now.
@@thedorkone1516”Hi Harry!Am I interrupting a psychotic episode? I hate when that happens to me!” Buddy was the best lol.
But I'm feeling much better now. I too would love to see that.
Roz, I’m so glad she still with us. Harry, Christine and Bull are gone. 😢
And Mac
So glad to see Roz. My favorite lines from the original NC when she revealed her brother was estranged from the family (I'm paraphrasing). When they asked his name she revealed it was Topo Gigio. 😂
Last two living members of the OG Night Court. 🙏❤️😭
Ellen Foley (Billie) is still alive.
Karen Austin too.
Of course the series has a huge guest star pool to choose from if they need a bit of nostalgia. They could get a lot of mileage from guest appearances from Brent Spiner % Annie O'Donnell (Bob and June), William Utay (Phil), Yako Smirnoff (Yakov), Jon Astin (Grandpa Buddy at 93!), and Bumper Robinson (Leon). Other one-time appearance fan favorites like Fran Drescher and Terri Hatcher are probably beyond the show's budget to get, but you never know.
@@drdave2020 I thought Phil died after a piano fell on him while he was walking 😂 Him and Dan were supposed to grab lunch together and even though Phil had an irrational fear of musical instruments, he still walked by the music shop, where he ultimately met his demise. Unfortunately that led to Dan practically going insane with guilt and developing The Phil Foundation, where I believe he got taken advantage of by Phil's twin brother, who was pretending to be Phil. I could be wrong about the order of events, but I think Dan found out that Phil was not in fact a bum as he portrayed himself out to be, but in fact very wealthy. I forget how Phil managed to become that well off... Back when the show was on Laff TV, I used to watch the show religiously. One of my favorites.
@@christopherporter2459Ah yes. You are correct. Of course, then William Utay could come back as Will. And given the zaniness of Night Court’s past plots, an original Phil returning after faking his death would not be unheard of.
I adore this show. You come for the crazy cases, but stay for the characters.
This brings back all the feels. There is a lot of the old show in this new one but it is it own beast. A funny awkward heartwarming feel good beast at that.
That is so great watching Dan and Roz together again.
The only two surviving members of the original cast.
@@erikbunty2016 Roz wasn't in the original cast. She was actually the third baliff. The actresses playing the show's first two baliffs both died.
@@ryanloftis1125 Yes, that is true. Selma Diamond and Florence Halop.
There were also two other actresses before Markie Post who played the public defender, Karen Austin and Ellen Foley, both of whom are still living.
@@erikbunty2016Wow! That’s right! Everyone else is gone. So sad.
Great scene. If anyone from NBC actually looks at the comments, please get John Astin in for one appearance as "Buddy"
Yes.
He is 94 and who knows where his health is at. Don't know if he is even able to.
I saw an interview piece with him from not that long ago. Seemed very lucid and in great spirits.
This is such a great show! Miss great sitcoms like this. Not nearly enough of them.
To many wokees being offended by EVERYTHING now days. This reboot ain't nearly as edgy as the OG was, it couldn't be it would've been cancelled after the first episode. Funny thing was, the original really wasn't that edgy.
I don't know if Ms. Warfield would be interested in another regular series gig but I am totally on board for Roz moving back to NYC.
I’m pretty sure the show is following Fielding, no one cares about Abbie Stone. When Fielding goes, so does the show.
She's been a semi regular cast member each season on the show 9-1-1 that moved to ABC. She plays Hen's Mother.
@@cougar24 It's the part she was born to play, baby!
I hope she makes more appearances ❤
As a PI I would hope she would be involved with some of the cases brought before Dan. You know, "wife beats up husband for cheating" sort of situations.
She has said she is willing if asked.
Heartwarming. Thank you, NBC.
AWESOME. I have always been a huge fan of Marsha Warfield!
"Dan Fielding - the only man with the length of his tongue printed on his business card..." - Roz Russell, Senior Bailiff - New York Court System
I found a pic of John larroquette either on Google images or Pinterest .he's holding his 2 or 3 Emmy and showing how long his tongue is 🔥
@@dfangirl72 4. He has 4 for Nightcourt, and the reason he has 4 is because he did not want 5.
Roz? That was so awesome!
The Bailiff from the original show from season 4-9. She was amazing.
It's good to see the actress who played Roz she looks good. I miss when she was on night court and empty nest
No one was expecting that and it was a nice surprise for everyone!
Those 2 actors have got the most awesome on-screen energy
Welcome home Roz (Marsha)! 🥰
Welcome back roz
Man, those two have some chemistry
of course enjoyed Mac ( Charlie Robinson ) the 2 elderly bailifs ( Selma diamond , Florence halop who I remember both being in the same episode from movie the Twilight zone ) but loved the " relationship between roz & Dan .
The new Night Court made me go back and binge watch the original, and seeing Dan and Roz together again, make me love it even more...😍 Can't wait to see Bull make his last appearance...😍🥲😍
he isnt.

😊
Comic-Con was totally sweet. So cool. The man has always been a comic genius
This would be for my dad he somewhere in heaven laughing with my mom❤😊
I got to meet Marsha back in the 90’s during the taping of Win, Lose or Draw. She’s really awesome. It’s great to see her have a cameo in the new series.

Thank u! Peacock season 2 is lol 😂😂 im so happy i just watched the first 2 eps and i cant wait for more! Seeing og cat coming together nice
I have to watch this. I only wish Harry Stone was still the judge.
Unfortunately, Harry Anderson passed away in 2018
I think the 'drink' they were drinking at the end is a 'New Orleans Hurricane.' Who doesn't remember those? LOL!
Wait, whaaaat?! Nightcourt is back?! YAY!
It's terrible. Don't waste your time
Not really a leak when the company who produced it intentionally uploads it to RUclips. Lol
The last 2 that are still around. R.I.P. Harry, Bull, Mac, Christine, Selma, and Flo.
Dan and Roz!!!❤❤❤❤
i can not wait to see this on tuesday so happy
It’s tonight at 7:30.
I just discovered Roz and I have the same favorite drink, "free". 🤣
NBC leaked its own show? I don’t think that’s actually possible.
Wow this is wonderful little reunion!!! I'm blessed to see this! Use to watch this and Hill Street Blues in the late 80's as a 6 and 7 years old (before I got obsessed with Ninja Turtles lol, now I'm 42 and just found out they have a reboot and came across this scene, what a find!!!
Bittersweet.......Only two original cast members left now.
We need more Roz! I like this show is funny just the humor of the late 80 is not there no more ..
We need her back, please. ❤
I loved the new series! Looking forward to Season 2!
Damn I miss Roz ❤👏👏👏 bring her back
so sweet! I haven't watched the re-boot, but the original was such a classic :)
It's good, but nowhere near as good as the original.
Wow…I came here to see this. I refuse to watch the new night court but when I seen she was on the show I watched it. Lots of memories. 😢
Gives off a strong 90s vibe 🎉🎉🎉
WOW !!!!, i use to watch this back in the 80's, cant believe its rebooted, lol
What could help this show is to bring Roz back for Good
They absolutely should!
Now bring back the Wheelers. 😀
It's good to see old friends.
See. They knew just having Dan Feilding back alone would not save this show. Marsha Warfield, a real comedian, Roz dry wit will bring that old school humor back to this sequel show. The producers know it.
This show got a second season and she is only a guest star. SO, you are wrong on all counts.
@@chriskay1449 No. The show was only funny last episode of season 1. This is why Season 2 opens up with Roz and Dan in jail. Those 2 onscreen makes the show funny only. You don't know what you are taking about.
@@rickyclover9393Wrong. The show is plenty funny and she wasn't the reason they renewed it, so you can stop with the "she saved the show" BS. You are blinded by nostalgia and were always going to hate the reboot thus never giving it a real chance.

so good to see her ... miss the old cast
This is *SO* bizarre to see. For some reason, I keep expecting Graham Greene and Brent Spiner to pop on in...
Hopefully they will mention Bull's passing. Would be nice.
ha wow so dan became a judge.. cool
Yes great fans me an my older brother love tht show my he rest in peace
Roz was hilarious. Season 4 was my favorite because of her.
Breaks my heart how bad this show is, I loved the original
They are now the only two left...😢
Yep
Ellen Foley from Season 2 and Karen Austin from Season 1 are still around.
Loved Roz and Dan dynamic 😂 Welcome back!
I haven’t seen an episode of this. “Mardi gras’s over” certainly feels like the old show.
This episode managed to capture some of the magic of the old show that many of last season's episodes were lacking. India de Beaufort finally toned down the "I'm doing a Saturday Night Live skit, everybody!" playing to the camera and started actually acting the part. Replacing Kapil Talwalker with a Mac Robinson clone was an inspired choice.
Now everyone here will agree with me they need to bring back the wheelers 😂
Well at least now I know they didn't axe another show I love! TY NBC... Peacock saved by the skin of it's teeth again...
