My husband and I road the wine train on our honey moon, it was amazing.
Thank you for touring the valley on the wine train. I live there. You know they were going to extend the line to lake county a century ago but due to the interurban train wreck in June 19, 1913 they didn't get the chance. They lost $1 million dollars and never recovered from it. They use to call it the San Francisco, Napa & Calistoga Railway (SFN&CR but now it is called the Napa Valley Railroad (NVRR)

I did the train two times decades ago- it has always been expensive but a wonderful experience!

I’ve been on the wine train. While you featured the food, there was no critiquing of the food (mmm...yum is not even a passing grade) and you didn’t capture the beautiful setting and fun the train offers. I give this episode 2 out of 5.
Then again, she gave it free of charge, not like you can ask for your money back. Maybe YOU should do better, think?

I live here and have never taken the train before $250 and you only get one glass?? Come on. They need to do a pairing where you get a glass of whatever goes with your meal. I may live here but I don’t know anything about wine, I just know what I like. If they did a pairing that would be a great way to educate people about wine.

i lived in sf for 2 decades and this thing is a ripe off for tourist, dont go.
I agree that it easy to drive from SF up to the Nappa Valley. If you drive you choose where to eat and can stop and shop. Best route is across the Golden Gate Bridge ignoring the GPS instructions.@@Pati85

I hope you enjoyed riding on that former Norfolk Southern, former Southern Railway GP40-2 high hood. These locomotives have basically been shunted away and forgotten about on most railroads

That food looks so good...I miss wine, but I remember the misery that tends to follow #soberlife -I’d love to ride that train, but with sparkling water and coffee. No nap, no headache. a fancy drunk is still a drunk.

Can someone tell me what the appeal of wine is? Alcohol tastes gross to me, so do people only drink it to be drunk for the sake of being drunk?
Castle Cat A lot of people like the taste of wine, like I grew up in an Italian family so it’s within my culture and all I know. I do know people who drink to be drunk, but many also just enjoy the taste☺️

Castle Cat.....Funny how life throws you weird curves. I always thought I liked various beverages like wine, margaritas and such. I quit smoking, then my taste receptors fully reawakened and alcohol tasted awful. Now, I use a little in cooking but not to drink anymore and it's fine. There are a couple of billion people in this world who don't touch the stuff and are missing nothing.

To address many of the comments regarding the reviewer, this is a classic example of yet another wannabe "social influencer" who conned her way into a free ride in exchange for some weak publicity. This individual lacks any credibility in regard to food & wine. I know since I work in resort marketing and am constantly hit up for free stuff. These people are a huge waste of time and money.
As of March, 2021 there are over 800,000 people alone subscribed to this channel. You've completely failed to make a case against giving away a $250 seat for this type of positive exposure.

There are people in other parts of the world who eat with their hands. Do they have bad table manners, as well? Do you have a different standard for them? Just because somebody does something different from you doesn't make it bad or wrong - it's just a different culture and different way of doing things.
