I don't know why many of the people here dislike her. She's amazing! Maybe she's just naturally cheerful and you see it as fake because you want everyone to act apathetic. You do you Alexis
Alexis really got her stride with these sponsored videos after the first one. She found the perfect delivery for a commercial without sounding annoying or fake. Good job to her for a massive improvement
Did anyone else think it's weird how the last guy talked about getting ingredients from within 100 miles and such and then serving scallops from Maine?
When you describe food you have to make it sound delicious. For example what sounds more appetizing, Seared A5 Japanese grass fed waygu, greek mashed potatoes or meat and potatoes...
@@dangeloromero3874 This is exactly my problem. I´m a chef and culinary consultant and write menus for a living, and this trend of senselessly describing things is just an insult to people´s intelligence. How often do you see things described as ´Fresh´ - fresh salad - well I sure hope so, or even worse - fresh braised lamb shoulder or stuff like that, its like everybodys celebrating their ignorance and then believe it sounds more appealing. Dont wish to come across aggressive or anything but its a topic that bothers me a lot, and a side effect of internet culture that´s more bothered with packaging than content. So many chefs talking about regional and seasonal etc, without actually giving it a moments thought if in their specific case its makes sense or is even true.
Actually you mean creamed corn. Upscale grits is called polenta - ground, dried corn that is cooked into a porridge. Fresh corn that is ground is called corn puree. And if you don't market what you sell, you get to stay poor.
Hominy grits is a type of grits made from hominy, corn that has been treated with an alkali. Grits should not be confused with boiled ground corn, which makes "hasty pudding" or "mush" or may be made into polenta using coarse ground corn, or with the "mush" made from more finely ground corn meal. Grits is of Native American origin and is similar to other thick maize-based porridges from around the world, such as polenta and mieliepap. The word "grits" is derived from the Old English word "grytt," meaning coarse meal.
I live in Napa county and Gott's is literally the best thing in the world and I'm surprised that it's on Buzzfeed cause it's my home but at the same time I'm not because the place is delicious lmao
thanks alexa for this show, i never really want to visit america since its soooo far away from australia but these places that u highlight are changing my mind
I loveee Alexis and seeing her improve as a host over this series was honestly awesome ^^ I feel as though these felt less and less forced as it went on so good on you girl :) prove them haters wrong
If you look at the check, 3 burgers, 3 fries, and free water for $55... kind of expensive for something that's supposed to be cheap American food. Who goes to a burger place and plans on spending a bunch of money?
I am actually genuinely curious how it is fake. I don't mean this in a hateful way btw, I'm just curious because I really don't see anything wrong with it.
Hog Island is a tiny little island out in Tomales Bay, where the oysters come from. You can pull over at their place on the side of the road and get oysters right on the bay. I grew up in that area. It's a beautiful area of northern Marin County. I totally recommend a trip out there.
I’m just going to say. I’m sure she’s a lovely person but the reason why people watch Buzzfeed and not The Food Network is because people on BF are relatable (ex. Worth It) and the way she comes off isn’t. This is very adsy and feels forced.
I would seriously travel all the way to Napa to try that burger. It looked sooooo damn good. As did the food in the last place where they had dinner. Why do I watch these things late at night just to drool?!!! 😂
I live in moldova (countryside) and every year my family makes wine. It is like a tradition so I have the priviledge to watch how wine is made. P.S. every family from the countryside has its' own wineyard🍁
i wish these video's would go a little more in depth, for example at 4:53 they start discussing that where the oyster grows influences the flavor and it would be much more interesting if they would further explain
I don't see Gott's Roadside as uniquely Napa at all. I guess I don't really see Hog Island Oyster Co as uniquely Napa either since I can visit both at the SF Ferry Building. I guess I just misunderstood what this series was about as I thought they were trying to temp you with things that you could only get by going to that place. Maybe just unique to Northern California?
i live in nor cal so when I saw the intro and see the eat sign I immediately just am like that’s gotts also gotts is a chain and there are a lot of them
"Hi - My name is Dave Woolsey, I am the GM at a burger joint, and I make minimum wage. I cannot afford to own property, but I do have to flip burgers for rich tech bros who get shitfaced and then stop by"

shynecindy One side of me agrees and the other side says she is like the English version of Lauren Cohan 😍
Its like she praises the food before it even touches her tongue
Fai9aalTS presentation? But it is a sponsored video....
Liz thats the core of the problem that it us sponsored
Fai9aalTS yup... she really can’t say anything negative but yeah her overreacting is a bit extra
captain trying too hard!
Shes annoying
Alexis really got her stride with these sponsored videos after the first one. She found the perfect delivery for a commercial without sounding annoying or fake. Good job to her for a massive improvement
Yeah, its more subtle, but still oppressive...just saying...fuck AMEX
Ummm she’s no Steven let’s be hones
What happened to the *eat ur feed* series? ? We need more episodes plz .....like if u agree ??
Fatima Sami I was about to say.... ;-;

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!! I’m not even kidding: Gott’s Roadside is my cousin’s restaurant. Thank you so much for shouting it out!!!!!!!
Sarah Brown you’re welcome
Well random person I work across the street from the saint helena Gotts. Tell your cousin to hook it up
Sarah Brown you’re famous now.... can I have your autograph?!

Haha ohhhh you’re right
i hate myself for laughing
Well played... whew...
Did anyone else think it's weird how the last guy talked about getting ingredients from within 100 miles and such and then serving scallops from Maine?
Thank you. I was looking for this comment. Ikr. He was like 100miles but the scallops are from Maine and I was like 😑
and how about the 'slow--cooked beans', as if there are many other quick ways of cooking beans
When you describe food you have to make it sound delicious. For example what sounds more appetizing, Seared A5 Japanese grass fed waygu, greek mashed potatoes or meat and potatoes...
Along with Australian black truffles...

Corn puree? Us poor folk call then grits.
In their defence grits sounds pretty repulsive. Terrible name for a food.

@@bentleyr00d I didn't know I needed that lesson on grits, but I'm glad I got it. I love learning new little bits of info here and there! Thanks!
anyone else thinking about money??
Sakhalay Kaba at the burger place the bill was $53
Divya Dhawan everything in Napa is crazy expensive
Yes, always. My entire next check goes into my bill's minus $6. 🙁

Sakhalay Kaba especially that last place

I live in Napa county and Gott's is literally the best thing in the world and I'm surprised that it's on Buzzfeed cause it's my home but at the same time I'm not because the place is delicious lmao
It's fast food with better quality ingredients with prices to match.
Clever Nickname sameeee loll

TASTY CAN YOU PLEASE STOP WASTING YOUR BUDGET ON THIS SERIES AND GIVE US MORE EPISODES OF WORTH IT
thanks alexa for this show, i never really want to visit america since its soooo far away from australia but these places that u highlight are changing my mind
Ah... reminds me of the Parent Trap. Good memories! Anyone agree? Annie and Hallie am I right😂 Good ol’ Napa California!
4:45 is it just me seeing the bee? 🐝
I loveee Alexis and seeing her improve as a host over this series was honestly awesome ^^ I feel as though these felt less and less forced as it went on so good on you girl :) prove them haters wrong

A K Ik, that's why I've gone there like once. And I've lived there for 17 years.
Maybe you're paying for the quality!
Did anyone see Alexis commercial pop up
The American Express plug-in beginning to blend in well...?
Lol i thought it lingered too long
@@TheGoldenwolf522 its because I got used to it after seeing it every week for 5 times lol
I got an ad for the card right after they showed it lmao
2:24 it's a fake generic card you guys, don't get your hopes up haha.
Probably not a real card. It's a commercial.
Alexis: I need to finish all of these fries before we go
Me: wow... that’s totally *not* me😬😬😬😂🤣
2:24 mine now
Lol same
Sameee
That is so fancy! Perfect video to a nice sunday chil night with bottle of wine.
Congrats for 10million subscribers😘
Love the channel, but don't care for this overly scripted commercial brought to you by American Express. It all seems very fake.
I am actually genuinely curious how it is fake. I don't mean this in a hateful way btw, I'm just curious because I really don't see anything wrong with it.

01:33 damn she went in like a champ! Bless her.
Alexis has a beautiful smile for a Synth
Thats what it is she's a synth makes complete sense thats why she only eats a couple bits of everything she eats....
I’m just going to say. I’m sure she’s a lovely person but the reason why people watch Buzzfeed and not The Food Network is because people on BF are relatable (ex. Worth It) and the way she comes off isn’t. This is very adsy and feels forced.
7:42 when you're from Maine and you dont think all this 'Fancy imported seafood' is fancy because you see it EVERYWHERE.
Less over acting in the next one may be?
She needs to lay off the adderol.
All the episodes probably already in editing stage, so maybe you'll see improvement in next season.
Gotts roadside is amaaaazing! Great backside outdoor seating for a warm summer evening too
Tasty I like this show but can we please get a new host. Someone more relatable
I would seriously travel all the way to Napa to try that burger. It looked sooooo damn good. As did the food in the last place where they had dinner. Why do I watch these things late at night just to drool?!!! 😂
WOW. What a great place. All the food looks amazing.
Used to work at Gotts in Napa and it’s safe to say the California burger is the best one on the menu
we use sustainable food from 100 miles. Gets scallops from Maine thousands of miles away.
Where is Rie?
Professor Sweetmeat thats mean
@Professor Sweetmeat u're mean.
She ain't on this one
Good question
This videos are about Alexis not rie
well i was wrong about the kale but was right about them not using any seasons. CLASSIC
I live in moldova (countryside) and every year my family makes wine. It is like a tradition so I have the priviledge to watch how wine is made. P.S. every family from the countryside has its' own wineyard🍁
4:46 the bee is also enjoying the oysters
This makes me wanna eat🍔🍟
i wish these video's would go a little more in depth, for example at 4:53 they start discussing that where the oyster grows influences the flavor and it would be much more interesting if they would further explain
I'm watching this in the middle of a 48hr water fast.
I'm an average asian , tasty fan. I see deboschnek, I click.
How do you go to Hog Island and NOT try the clam chowder?
I don't see Gott's Roadside as uniquely Napa at all. I guess I don't really see Hog Island Oyster Co as uniquely Napa either since I can visit both at the SF Ferry Building. You guys should make a "Swedish Princess Cake" but two times big
i saw the title and was thinking, they gotta be goin to gots! best burgers ever there
Alexis reminds me of the actress Jennifer Carpenter. She played Debra Morgan on Dexter.
Was the meet served raw?
MORE TASTY!!! YAAAAAAAAAAS!!!
Next video: We tried the iconic haloumi in Ayia Napa
Video at 4:06: Fresno chilies
Me: oh that's cool.....waiiittt....I'm from fresno......hold up *internally freaking out*
the more expensive the meal is, the less cooked it gets
Well yeah. The more "less cooked", the more flavor it has. As long as it's not border line raw
When i think of na(p)pa i think what power lvl are these people.
Dante Vic - ohhh I can get behind a dbz reference!! We like to incorporate that into some of our dishes :)
J-Mac's Amateur Kitchen ITS OVER 9000!
I've never understood why people take the orange bit of the scallop off, it's the best part!
4:46 there was a bee in the meal HAHAHAHA
Ten second in and I can already smell the self absorption
OH LOOK, IT'S MY FAVORITE VOICE IN TASTY

A chef at a restaurant where nothing is cooked? Love it.
How many friends doyou have

GMO free, you mean you killed a bighorn lamb
Ok, I don't eat oysters, but I gotta try that Crudo next time I'm at Oxbow!
Buzzfeed stop trying to be Food Network.
You should visit Chihuahua, Mexico next! They have montados an quisicarnes and they are the best 😋
There is a bee on an oyster at 4:47
I really wanted to go to Calistoga Ranch, but the Napa Fires destroyed it 10 months ago.
"Hi - My name is Dave Woolsey, I am the GM at a burger joint, and I make minimum wage. I cannot afford to own property, but I do have to flip burgers for rich tech bros who get shitfaced and then stop by"
This was brilliant !
I can’t be the only one that noticed the wasp on the bottom oyster at 4:45 lol
That burger looked so yummy❤❤❤
I've been to Gotts! I feel so cool about m food choices! Their Sweet Potato Fries ar the best thing EVER!
