    Those barts with the tone capsule and the spector are made to each other, is the best spector PJ I ever heard imho and that tiger eye finish is gorgeous I want one so bad

    I was just given a beautiful Spector bass today. It was in a major fire when a music shop burned down a few years ago. It has been tossed around from one repair shop to another, and another for the last three or so years, and I finally convinced the owner to let me have it, so as to save its life. Plenty of parts and hardware are missing, and the neck is fairly warped from the nut to the fourth fret. I may need to remove the fret board, and the whole body and neck will need to be refinished, including the lamination on the head stock. Huge undertaking, but it's going to be fun, and definitely a labour of love.

      Hey, Tony Levin plays a Stingray that was seriously singed in a fire! Don’t let that Spector go to waste

    Great review, really showed the tonal capability of the instrument. And the sound - maybe the best sound I've ever heard from any bass

    Just got mine last week. Unfortunately, we can't upload pics here. It's the new Euro 4 LT, tigers eye. Set it up and it's fricken perfect. VERY bright top end.....high fidelity sounding with huge bottom end.
    Think Rickenbacker on steroids.

    Lovely bass , low action , very percussive and a lovely growl . I would love to try a 5 string having a euro 4 , but I can't find many in the UK

    The first fret is actually a bit further away. Noticable when you switch from a Fender to Spector like I did a year ago but you get used to it Quick and it actually has some benefits. The higher frets are much easier to play i feel.

    • @quantumechanical
      @quantumechanical 3 года назад

      That’s the reason why I don’t play my Warwick much. I love the Spector sound but feel much more comfortable on a fender.

    • @nr92cp6
      @nr92cp6 3 года назад

      I imagine it mostly depends on what kind of music you play. If you're playing something like Vasoline on a bass where the first fret is far away you might up end with carpal tunnel haha

    • @Zec3
      @Zec3 2 года назад +1

      @@nickk5948 The scale lenght is the same but the body of the Spector is more offset compared to a Fender making the first fret further away but the higher frets more accessible.

    Has anyone found the volume control frustrating? I love the look and the sound of Euro LT, but it would seem that you'd have to 'reset' the tone of the pick ups each time with the volume, or am I confused on how these work?

    • @Spector06111
      @Spector06111 4 месяца назад

      All spectors are kinda like that. I have Ns Pulse which you have to sort of back everything off a bit otherwise the signal is too hot with everything turned up. Bass knob is 0db at 9oclock and treble 0db is 12oclock.

    • @badhamster9300
      @badhamster9300 Год назад +1

      Coz plenty of people these days play in an alternate tuning - not everyone is in E standard. Also it shows off the focus and sustain when playing in a drop tuning, if it has the heft in drop-D then it'll be just as superb in E.
