Beautiful flip throughs! I mostly wait for decks that Witches Moon occasionally sends, but I love it when others are willing to share what they pick out themselves. When you mentioned childhood artwork from a book (by Eric Carle) I immediately remembered The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I loved that book when I was little! I resonated most with the Earth + Body deck. I am drawn to the soft rainbow palette and depictions of elements from the natural world. Just might have to add this to my wishlist! I appreciated your thoughts on witchy labels, baby witch, etc. With no fixed traditions, zero initiations, starts and fits into the craft…I still don’t know what I am. I’ll keep grimoires of correspondences, but rarely record spellwork in a BoS. Spells are mostly grab what I’ve got, light something, burn something, invite deities or relatives, sometimes words, often just thought forms, and take it the rest of the way via dreams, drumming, or a long walk. 😅 How are you approaching Ogham? I’m inclined to draw a stave when I do card readings. It seems to add insight or emphasize a message for me. I’d like to learn how to cast them and read more extensively that way, but unsure of a good resource to learn from.

Thank you for watching and for the thoughtful comment! I think the Earth + Body is also my favorite out of everything. I fits in very well with my goals for this year. I think it's okay if you don't know what you are. You don't HAVE to be anything. And maybe your focus changes everyday. As long as it works for you, then that's all that matters right? As for Ogham, it's a goal for 2024 but I haven't explored them yet. I might start with a single pull just to get used to them, then pair them with oracle or tarot. I am not sure if there's an official method but I planned to just use a random casting method.

On DIRT GEMS and the ELEMENTAL ASSOCIATIONS:
Their association of air with desert makes a LOT of sense for me because one of the main characteristics + criteria for deserts is how dry they are. They can be hot (Sahara) or cold (Gobi); either way, their lack of water means there is little to no water or vegetation.
I wouldn't necessarily relate mountains to air because the higher up in altitude you go, the less air/oxygen there is.
If you think of the Emperor card which is often depicted with mountains, the associated astrological sign is Aries -- a fire sign. Mountains and fire, voila!
Hopefully that helps a bit with understanding the associations!

That definitely makes sense! Thanks for the thoughtful reply

I like the look of the decks but not enough for adding to the huge wish list, might add the Work your Own Magic book to my list though even with the things I don’t agree with that you also don’t agree with 😅

Sorry I missed your comment! That's fair, your wishlist is too long anyway haha

I really like the artwork in Dirt Gems. I haven't bought a plant oracle because I struggle with just... not knowing much about plants, but I did consider this one when I saw it indie and it going mass market is making me take a second look. With just the plant name, I'd be lost, but it seems like the guidebook has quite a lot in it. I really like the black backgrounds and bright colours.

I love the vibrant colors against the black background. I think it makes it very easy to pair with a large variety of decks! I think you'd really like it, esp with your Druidry background.
