A book that helped me a lot to understand the purpose of life was A Course in Miracles, but I could not understand it well, until it came into my life 3 books that helped me clearly understand the message, these books are by the same author, Gary R. Renard 1. The disappearance of the universe. 2. Your immortal reality: how to break the cycle of birth and death and 3. Love has not forgotten anyone: the answer to life.
I really hope you feel inspired to read them because I think that will change our lives.🌸

@@pittufa1985 I love the Course and it's definitely life changing also but that's precisely why I didn't include it here! It's not an easy read and we may not be ready for it until we read some other ones first. :)

Christina Lopes ¡Absolutely! That is why I read the three books of Gary R. Renard. I understood perfectly the book of A Course in Miracles. I'm finishing the exercise book, but this message is something for the rest of this apparent life.🌸

Conversations with God is the book that set me free. All 3 books. Because the truth "awareness" set me free. When I understood who I am at soul level I was able to let go of fear, anger, and bitterness. I will always, always recommend this book. It helped me move forward when I saw myself going through the dark night of the soul. We are one 💕

"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". I first read it about 25 years ago (so, about 24 years before my awakening started). It totally opened me up to the possibility of a spiritual awakening (even though it took a LONG time to get there). I read "Many Lives, Many Masters" on my shaman's recommendation following our first mushroom ceremony, which wound up being the catalyst for my awakening. I'm going back to read "A New Earth" now because I haven't read it since my awakening.

The Untethered Soul as well as the Surrender Experiment both changed my life and started my acknowledgment of my awakening that I had been in for many years already but didn’t realize it. I just bought The Celestine Prophecy as well and am excited for that… my husband is reading it first. I own a new Earth as well and I have never read it. I should definitely read that one too.

Thank you from every part of my soul for this. I've written every one of these down, crying my eyes out. Why? Because I've been in the book business for over 30 years. Recently, I had to give up my job, but want to go into the book business again. All that time I was surrounded by these titles, I ignored every single one, and when I lost/left my job, I felt like I lost my window, because I no longer have the funds to buy the books. Now that I've awakened, I want to read these titles and authors voraciously, and never take such things for granted again. So, THANK YOU. 💖

Just came back to say that I read The Untethered Soul. ❤️ now I’m here for another one...to read in between the emotional purges and distractions from deeper emotional purges lol. I know they’re waiting to be felt and released, but ego wants a break sometimes haha. 😂😂 thanks for being my “spirit guide” if I can call you that. You’re helping me learn to trust and surrender. ❤️ I’ve been pulling out my thorns...and even though that shit hurts, I’m glad I am.

Your first book is actually changing my life and helping me remember some old trauma that I didn't recognize or knew were traumatic. For example, I used to wake up in the middle of the night unable to breathe and my heart beating fast - so scared I was going to die for no reason. It never occurred to me that I was having panic attacks until you described it in the book - for a long time I forgot that used to happen. I still don't know why that happened and why I'm always thinking about death, but you're giving me tools to try to figure it out in your book. Thank you!

  • @kindyrar

Thank you for this list! I'm just starting out on my spiritual awakening journey, but I feel that reading Siddhartha in high school was the first stepping stone to free thinking for me, as I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness in a very strict and dysfunctional household. The book resonated so deeply with me and opened my mind to the possibility of love and peace beyond what I had been spoon-fed since childhood.
Another book that was utterly life changing for me, while not spiritual, was Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft. Shortly after leaving my religion and getting married at the age of 20, I ended up in a highly abusive scenario for seven long years, and that book saved my life (quite literally). It may show its age in some ways by now, but the advice for those in controlling relationships is timeless. I read through the book four times in a row, frantically highlighting and making notes as I realized the truth of my reality. Truly, truly life-changing for my specific experience.
Freeing myself from my marriage and the religion I was raised in has paved the way to what is now my spiritual awakening and freedom, and I am endlessly grateful for these books and ravenous to read more that will help open my perspective to the endless possibilities here on this beautiful planet.

    • @njhelmers

I just have to say, I love you ... and on a completely different level; a little back story: I am a baby Christian I started my journey about 7 years ago, I fell away of corse (learning the word through man only, can have that effect lol) .. about 2 years ago, I started getting a very strong pull towards something and I couldn’t pin point it, I tried to ignore it and push it away; eventually it kept resurfacing. I reached out to my pastor, he didn’t have much to say to help AND THEN!!!! the following month I met a teacher a mediator, let’s say, and he started teaching me and I have found myself with the seeds he planted and then I found you ! The other day I met a twin flame, he is a friends husband so I hope she doesn’t feel weird about it haha. But I can talk/stare in his eyes for HOURS... I have noticed as I move forward in this amazing journey and pair the Christian faith (KJV only) I am learning so much about who God made us all to be and all we need is truths; and you Christina are an everyday staple in my life and my journey... so I love you !! I really HONESTLY can say I love everyone, I have an intense feeling of connection to everyone and now to everything (God created with his own hands). I feel alone a lot but I’m not lonely it’s an amazingly freeing feeling ❤️❤️

Now I’m moving on with Byron Katie’s teachings.

  • @katewilliamson4464

Great list Christina. I will check out some of these titles.
A book that was life changing for me was Weapons of Mass Instruction by John Taylor Gatto. This is not a spiritual text but it helped accelarate my awakening to understand the world we live in and why people seem cut off. Gatto traces the history of schooling to deliberate intent to controlling the masses. Big part of my awakening was awakening out of being schooled and controlled. The other book is the New Earth. In the first chapter Eckhart describes the spiritual beauty of our natural environment so nicely which convinced me there are bigger forces at play.

    Hi, Christina!
Some of the books that I have read are Eckhart Tolle's Stillness Speaks, Victor Frankl's Man's Search For Meaning and Pema Chödrön's When Things Fall Apart. Currently, I am reading Jiddu Krishnamurti's Reflections On The Self. There were other short spiritual articles that helped me tremendously as well. I also love Rumi's works which mostly centers on Love.
I would love to find a copy of your recommended books, hardcopy if possible. Thank you for sharing those wonderful books with us. Peace and blessings!

Most of the books which I´ve read are in spanish because that´s my native language but I´m sure that they have been translated into english: 1- El Milagro Más Grande del Mundo." de Og Mandino; 2- "El Poder está dentro de Ti." de Louise Hay; 3- "El Poder del Ahora." de Eckhart Tolle; 4- "Un Curso de Milagros." de Hellen Schuman; 5- "El Dragón ya no Vive Aquí." de Alan Cohen; 6- "Tus Zonas Erróneas." de Wayne Dyer; 7- "Pide y se te Dará." de Jerry y Esther Hicks; 8- "El Caballero de la Armadura Oxidada." de Robert Fisher; 9- "El Alquimista." de Paulo Coelho; 10- "El Diálogo de la Caverna." de Platón.
I´ve read hundreds of good books but there is not enought place here to write their titlles and I don´t remember all of them.

The most amazing thing is that I found this book several years ago in the basement of a bed and breakfast that I was working at but didn't start really reading it till I started to go through my awakening. I even tried to read this once when I first found it but my mind was so closed that I couldn't even understand it. A new earth is number one for sure... I read that book in a couple of days back in 2012... and that's unlike me reading a book that fast, I'm really a slow reader, but this book got to me right away... I'm now reading the course in miracles, and it is wisdom all the way, but like you say it's a bit complex... I do struggle a bit...

My 1st book that was a spiritual introduction in my life was "In tune with the Infinite!" And the 2d was
"The Infinite Way" letters by Joel Goldsmith.

For me, an essay on the Hippy movement and a brief study about Lao Tseu when I was a teenager (a looong time ago) ! But the most decisive was the reading, 15 years later, of Aldous Huxley's last novel, Island.

Thank you so much ! My way has gone more through the magic shamanist path so the books Will reflect that. So im going to give some not so common ones nowadays as well as plain un- orthodox which have gold in them if you look closer .so Lynn Andrews Medicine Woman and Crystal Woman, American Shaman tradition . Star Wars - Jupp my first read about meditation and a meditation I did for years came from a Star Wars comic, Terry Pratchett the witches series - gives some Very practical tips on how hedge magic really works ( call it english shamanism) Freya Aswynn ( German and Nordic Asatru) Hardcore shamanism not for the fainhearted !!! And for When everything fucks up and you need immediate help Bach Remedies which is is a book about those ( use only those,, they are normally available in healthfood stores or online-NO copies) by Metchild Scheffer. They are a finetuning fork for vibrations in drop form which helped me on a trip to Irland When I was severely overloading, had NO clue about Anything and sought help from a local trained sensitive as the area was supercharged.

Great list... thank you. The Hidden Words of Baha'u'llah is brief and powerful. "The Heavenly Books, the Bible, the Qur'án, and the other Holy Writings have been given by God as guides into the paths of Divine virtue, love, justice and peace." ~ Paris Talks, Baha'i Faith

Hello Cristina: would you recommend the “Surrender Experiment” for someone that is not awake at all (my BFF) and struggles with control and has been just opening to wanting to know more. The very concept of surrender is “out there” for her when we discuss our day to say life. She thinks it’s part of my woo woo! ✨ if not this one, any recommendation? Her bday is tomorrow. Thank you! ❤️

Michael Singer is a great place to start for sure for someone's who's not spiritual because he's a pretty down to earth kind of guy and he describes his "awakening" as a very matter of fact thing. He was an engineer by training I think. So The Surrender Experiment is a great place to start to see what can happen when you just open up to life a little. :)

Hi Christina, thanks for that very interesting list. I would also recommend Sacred Contracts by Caroline Myss, about our archetypes. And since you mentioned A Book of Miracles and it being very complex, there‘s A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson, in which she talks about ABOM and what it meant for her. A quick read that gives you an idea. Cheers and thanks for your wonderful videos.
