Flight Over Glacier Peak Volcano

Today we fly over one of Washington State's most active volcanoes known as Glacier Peak.
At 10,560 Feet MSL, Glacier Peak stands out among the rugged mountains of the Cascade Range.
As with many flights, we conducted 2-meter FM ham radio contacts while we filmed to allow the ham operators to experience the flight while hearing their QSO into the airplane.

If you want a hike that blows your mind, do the loop from Spyder meadow to Trinity, with side trips to image lake and sheep camp. Its worth a few days hiking. Spyder meadow is spectacular, the glacier climb is fun, image lake gives views of glacier peak that are awesome, the fire lookout is great, flower dome, albeit hit and miss can be great.

You definitely live in a great part of the US! Spectacular weather for the flight! Great to listen to all those different operators! Are you using the Enduro batteries for the GoPros? They are so much better than the regular batteries, especially in cold air! Yes, you got some excellent shots of Glacier Peak!

Hello again my friend. Thank you for the comments. It definitely is a beautiful part of the country. You can go from desert to mountains to the ocean all within a couple of hours. Yes, I am shooting the video footage with GoPro hero 11 cameras using the Enduro battery. They do have a tendency to overheat, so have to be careful to maintain good air circulation around the camera during filming.
