Oh, they didn't see underground cathedral in Wieliczka - it is the most amazing thing there in my opinion. It is all made of salt and is pretty big, made through centuries by miners.

I'm so happy that they got to visit my beautiful country! Personally, I haven't gotten to visit Warsaw and Kraków properly (I only went with my school when I was still living in Poland) but because of this video I would love to visit the beautiful cities again. Poland has a lot of regions with theirs owns cultures, traditions, history with foreign influences: german, russian, austrian. In Poland there are castles of different ages, temples of different religions: cristian (catholic, orthodox, protestant), islam. We have mountains, sea, many lakes and forests. I invite you to visit Gdańsk, Toruń, Silesia, Mazury and Podlasie. Not only Chopin was a Pole but also Copernicus, Mary Składowska-Curie and John Paul II. In Warsaw there is a great Copernicus Science Centre and The Warsaw Rising Museum.
One bad thing - Warsaw - city's name is not from "Saw a war"! It's from legend about Wars and Sawa, the legendary founders of this city! Warszawa is from "WarsSawa" connection, this couple names of course. There is other legend, about siren, from Wisła river ( Wisła flows through both cities, Kraków and Warszawa) - she is defender of city, so has a sword and shield. That's why there is statue of siren in Old Town. Copenhagen has their own siren, these two aren't connected :).

It's many versions of this story. WSI 1990 - It's just a legend! There is more than one version of it, at school i was told this (i was a kid!), and that version i read in book. There is version about surname Warsz, but i wrote the most popular version, that's all.
That legend is actually what the Polish name "Warszawa" originated from, but I think the "saw a war" explanation is just for the English name of the city :) As you can see, it's different from the Polish name, unlike most other cities like Poznan, Krakow etc. Maybe he was right? I've never done any research on why the English name is different. (Also I'm Polish and that legend is what they teach us in schools. Xd)
In Wieliczka (salt mine) are given tours in English, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian. I am little bit surpriced why you have taken tour in Polish but ok... I am very happy that you have visited my country and it sems you had a great time :-)

Haha, when I heard that part about proposing on a hot-air balloon I chuckled a bit... I worked as balloon crew one summer while studying and we had at least one guy a week come in and rent it for the proposal :D And each one behaved as if he was the first one ever to think of it! :P But it was definitely a cool idea, and we'd secretly pack the flowers and champagne to the balloon before they got on so they can open it if she says yes...
You should have seen Gdańsk also! And Malbork! There is the biggest castle in the entire world when it comes to land size. Expect from Warszawa and Kraków... Also Wrocłwa, Poznań, Zakopane... So much more to see to be just a stopover! xd Although! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Greetings from Poland!
Polska - Niemcy 78:70 - koszykarski wynik. ;) Sędziowie z Korei. ;) Ja poczułem ciarki widząc dziewczyny w Polsce. ^^ Trafiłem na to przypadkiem, przed chwilą na KBS World w moim telewizorze, była akurat scena z Wieliczki - zaraz wszedłem tutaj, żeby onejrzeć całość... Nie żebym był łasy na "narodowe komplementy", ale naprawdę miło było widzieć i słyszeć że dzieczyny dobrze się tu czuły... Ja w Korei nie byłem, ale zawdzięczam jej wiele miłych chwil (K-Pop i K-Drama). ^^
They did a great job in representing Germany and Poland. However, as a classical musician myself, I find their joke about Chopin out of line. That country is very proud of their composer and should not be made fun of. It seems that the host themselves are not very classically minded due to K-Pop very popular in Korea and do not appreciate the classics to much. However, I see that K-Pop Idols and groups come and go and their music sometimes forgotten, but the classics will be played forever. This is the only episode I didn't like the comments of the hosts to much, because it seems that they are very uneducated in the arts.
