Sonic 3 & Knuckles; All Emeralds Glitch

This was done on an actual Model 1 Sega Genesis using the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge with Sonic 3 locked on. Shoutouts to Chrezm and BenInSweden for their science. This glitch is performed by having all 7 Chaos and/or all 7 Super Emeralds in your 8th file slot. As long as you have a new save file, this trick will work. It is a 0-frame load, or frame perfect trick. The properties of the 8th save file will store itself and transfer to the new save file, enabling you to enter the "8th Special Stage". You can simply lose the special stage and nothing will appear (or 7 chaos emeralds if that's what your cleared file has) on the score tally screen. After that, reset and go back to the file select screen and you will see the emeralds are placed in that file, enabling you to transform into Super/Hyper Sonic. This will not work with Sonic alone, Tails Alone, or Knuckles alone as far as I know.

Some thing very sad happend I was doing the glitch anid I accidentally pressed sart so tried to delete it and i accidentally clicked only completed save file and I accidentally pressed right and my only completed save file was gone

You need to enter a new file on the first frame it shows up. I pretty much push the A button, and see "Zone 1" appear for a split moment.

I only tried this with Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I think it'll work in Sonic 3 alone, but not sure about Sonic 3 Complete.

Unfortunately no, but there is a game breaking glitch with the Super Big Ring (New Game + or Mushroom Hill) in which while the screen is fading to white, you can restart the stage and it will take you to Hidden Palace. I'm sure it'll get patched at some point lol.

How did I lie when you don't have the emeralds? The trick doesn't work if you don't have any emeralds in the last file. You'll have to play through the game and collect either 7 or all 14 emeralds. Once you do that, then on the first New File, you'll need to do a frame perfect file entry (mashing the A button after the title screen) to see Zone 1 during the fade.
