I was debating for a while if I should upload this video or not since I wasn’t completely happy with the end result. In the end I did it anyway, even if it is only to hear from you guys about any potential level up challenges that you like to do. Additionally, now is the time that you might get hyped up for a new elite spec and might potentially level up a new class, so it just made sense timing wise. Next video on Wednesday is going to be fully scripted again. I feel like I can keep the quality of the videos much higher that way.
If you end up trying this challenge, I do recommend going in with a friend. The live commentary part is mainly there to show you a bit of the decision making that this challenge provides and highlights the things that I love about it.

Glad you uploaded it man. Perfection isnt attainable, it's good not to chase it too hard. Every video makes you skills with editing and presenting things even better, and that's what I appreciate about you getting out and posting anyway

Alright I'm definitely liking this challenge idea. The pacing is great for sure, and having combat still be what's rewarding you with tomes keeps the focus on what makes GW2 great. Beyond that though, I really appreciate how this challenge gives another reason for much more advanced accounts to go back to the dungeons and bring some population to them, something that really helps new players feel like the game is as alive as we know it to be, given how dungeons are one of the first pieces of aspirational content for a new player to work towards and get excited about facing.

It's definitely a great way to get right back into it after a break or when switching to a different class, without dragging the leveling process out for too long.

@@MasterOfNoneGaming What I did on my return was to fully boost a new character and give them a very simple full berserker build (thief), then power through the entire storyline start to finish. Not so much of a challenge as a full on endeavor, but I found I really liked the loot, became attached to the character, got to know it really well over those difficulty ramps, and ultimately remembered the story and found new appreciation for it. Miiiight skip the core story and start at season 2 if I did it again though. Or if someone doesn't have the LS and only has expansions, definitely do core story so for a bit to ramp up cause HoT can be rough.

I'm really glad you decided to upload the video in the end! The timing is perfect now, as you said and I do quite like the live commentary :D "oh shit this is baaad, ruuuuun!" 🤣
I also think that this challenge is more suited for duo, looked like the kills took way to long and if you die, you don't have your buddy left who can pick you up..
You probably have to change the rules a bit if you doing it solo and you wanna have it a bit more "faster". But that's the greatness about this challange, everyone can form it to there liking!

I play a zero-ui challenge while leveling (almost.. hearths pop when in the zone), thats sooo inmersing! Gw have such great environments that i used to "ignore" when i was new.. it also makes me get a real feeling on cds and stuff as you are forced to focus on the game instead of a number on a square, eventually it just flow naturally and i find it more fun! (Extra points: you understand your character way better than what a golem can teach you)
Also when not in dungeons i enable action camera and set my cam closer and over the right shoulder for extra rp

Oh now that you mention it, I remembered that I've done that in the past as well! It's an amazing experience and like you said makes you appreciate the world so much more. I loved getting a mail for a dungeon unlock and then trying how to walk there without a map or fast traveling. Same with trying to figure out where I have to go for the story.
Super immersive but definitely a challenge that is a lot slower.

I personally don't enjoy guild wars 2 system of needing to have multiple characters to clear certain content, which is why I played for 1 character only for an entire year until I figured it was time to make a scourge. While making that scourge I quickly realized that by not playing all the classes, I'm basically missing out on free content.

as a veteran player, I like boosting, I usually get attached with the character in character create or when observing the class before making one. My main was boosted from 1! :D

I wish I could do that! I always end up deleting those characters or just parking them at the end of jp's lol

@@MasterOfNoneGaming To be fair I have deleted 2-3 boosted toons lmao.. But it's not every time :P

Welp, right now I'm leveling a Rev exclusively in the Mad King Lab. Level 40 something so far.

Haha I've done that in the past too. Pretty much the opposite experience to what I'm showing off in the video. However, if you have something else to watch on a second monitor the lab farm can be kinda relaxing :D

my main problem always are: tomes
I dont play pvp or wvw, so... I don't get tomes very often.

    • @MasterOfNoneGaming
      @MasterOfNoneGaming  3 года назад

I guess then you only get them from the daily log-in rewards? I can see how that would be a problem then haha

I liked the first half - but I did in fact skip the live commentary bit. Just to give some feedback. I just don't enjoy live gameplay

All good! It's why I have separated them that way, so it's easily skippable :) and I appreciate the feedback!
