    Thanks for showing how to use the towel and trash bag to insulate an outside faucet. I needed to insulate the the city water connection on an RV for sub zero temperatures.

    I'm in Memphis TN and this is not enough for the storm we just had, south facing hose bibb froze up even with a cover on it. Turn the water on a few times a day if you don't leave it drip. Bringing warmer water to the hose bibb changes the freeze rate. A sock, hat and zip lock bag also works but again with this last storm more effort is needed.

      Hello T H, we are in southeast TX so we do not see the temperatures you see in TN.

      I'm next door in Southaven, and we're both supposed to get single digit temperatures plus snow this Sunday.
