Amazing story! Serves Toru's toxic family right! For being the worst parents, not giving much love to Toru and Yuto and for ruining their lives! They deserve some karma, defeat and punishment! sad reality is, its easier than it looks to get away with child abandonment, read about so many unsolved cases simply because after just a year (varies in other countries but is around the same period) it is legally recognised that parental rights have been given up, meaning at that point the child is legally no longer the parents (not quite how it works but just simplifying it for context)
