Love Nemo everything! lol I have the Nemo Firefly! It’s the best! Super lightweight and very roomy! It’s labeled as a 2person tent but it’s too small for two people…basically a 1 1/2 person tent and I love that! Not too big but not too small! Had it for probably 3 years now and I camp all the time! 4th of July weekend I took it to the Badlands and it withstood one epic ass storm that I made a video of! 😂 anyways, love this video man 😎

Could you do a how to pack up for the dagger? I have the 3 person verison and it is so frustrating to try and pack it back up.

Been eyeing the Dagger 3P for group trips. Looks like it offers great space without killing your pack weight.

Are you able to pack the tent with the rainfly attached? How would you pack away in the rain?

The is a design fault though in high winds. It's thd valvro tab that attaches the rain cover to the pole. In high winds it just comes undone then the tent folds in at the end the winds at. Done it twice to me.

I was hoping the name was inspired by the fish

Make sure you have a way to reach emergency services in case you need rescuing from your back yard. Since I didn't see any food in the video, it's easy to starve.

People who create those tent design where the fly does not protect properly the inner tent never slept outdoor under serious bad weather. I don't need to try, that's immediately a big no no when I see this design.

Your comment suggests a lack of data. I've had the Nemo 1p in many conditions including an entire night of rain in the Sawtooth Mnts (Idaho) and never had an issue. Very good tent.

@@steve_____K307 Wait that it rains from the side with enough wind and you'll swim in the inner tent. It will fill up from the border. That's an old and well known issue when the fly is too close and too high from the inner tent on the borders. They do that for breathability purpose since most of people will camp in summer time, in brief that's a summer tent.

@@BaroudeurAventure In other words, a tent, like most pieces of backpacking gear have pros and cons that need to be prioritized when making a purchase decision. Optimizing one thing might come a the expense of another. In your case you might bias toward a more mountaineering capable tent and tolerate the extra weight, bulk, and purchase price. But others might swing a different direction more appropriate for the conditions they expect to use the gear in. Your initial statement didn’t hint at any of this.

@@steve_____K307 Bad conception is not about pros and cons, they are plenty of ways to keep a good airflow without doing compromise on the purpose of the gear wich is protecting from the rain. The conditions anyone expect to use a tent is for sleeping dry, this type of tent borders fail at it.

@@BaroudeurAventure As for your comment “this type of tent borders fail at it”, really? Seems like the word would be getting around if that were the case. The fact is the scenario you presented with horizontal high wind rain is not the condition many of us expect our tents to be optimized for; and for good reason. In the Nemo’s case (for high-winds) the weak link might actually be the frame structure not rain protection, and there are cons to beefing up the frame. I’ve spent 150 nights in a variety of tents over the last 5 years and am pretty confident that my choice to optimize for low weight and minimal bulk has resulted in a net overall gain to my backpacking experience. There simply is no one-size-fits-all choice of tents, despite your suggestion to the contrary.
