You may have just changed my life with this alone : ) For Rizzle !!! Oh sure, its sounds great in your tutorial... and it seems like a great tip... but on my own sessions... WOW PLUS !!!! If you listen carefully right now... you can hear angels singing your name. Thanks, Steven... I really appreciate it.
Noy only ya'l develop insanely awesome sounding plug-ins... But do really teach us how that final secret spice is made of... Thanks millions Steve... God Bless You and the lovely team!!! Love from Sri Lanka ... !!!👍👍👍
Wow, I can even tell the difference on my little cell phone speaker! I am definitely trying this on my drum bus. Thank you for these tutorials, Steven! Please keep them coming!
Awesome trick. but what do you do with the original overhead and room as far as processing then? Why would you not just apply this processing on the original track rather than creating the send?
That's because he's creating a stereo room mic setup. If you look at the session, there is no stereo room track, just the mono. Hence the send to get the stereo OH and the mono room together.
This is not stupid...i would make a copy of oh and room with no process on..so you can create a fake big room at the beginning of the process that not change if i want to comp oh...i think you get the best idea

Great video and information! i was wondering, how is the drum squash panned? i see the 100% left and right. Does this mean the drum squash is doubled?
This de-esser does the job definitely, but any other multi-band compressor would be good for the task.
Great job!!!
You're the man
Love it. Thanks
That's great advice!
on AND in the universeBOTH!
You´re adding top end and high mids and then have to de-ess it away again.
Neat trick tho that really sounded good.
So the tracks are being sent as prefader?

Dude did he send OH and MONO MIC to the AUX or the opposite?
