Don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
Ed does not give a ton of interviews...he should do more, he is awesome. Grew up watching this guy as Al, which a lot of us here likely did. lol. I never heard the Of Mice and Men story before. The Al Bundy origin. I love when you get to see an actor you knew as such an iconic goody character as themselves. Glad people called about putting Dutch on that list! I love that movie.
Ed did a couple of cameo appearances in the West Wing towards the end of the run. I don’t think I truly appreciated just how good of an actor he was before that. I wish he would have had a full time roll in that show, one of my favorites of all time. He would have done a marvelous job.
There's something about Ed saying someone is a friend that makes you feel like they're actually friends, rather than most Hollywood people who throw around the word "friend" casually
I wish he had asked him about how he decided to make the move pro football to acting--quite a move! What a terrific actor, Ed O'Neill is, and a good man.--Kevin Whelan
Could listen to him tell stories all day.. I'm at an age where I saw Married with Children and Modern Family... never thought I'd ask this question about Ed O'Neil but I wonder which character is more iconic..... Al Bundy or Jay Pritchett..?? I'm guessing Al Bundy still... either way, both were amazing and hilarious characters.
My dad loved Married with Family. He would watch it and laugh and laugh. I never understood why. But he’s from Ohio and listening to this interview I’m wondering if he related to parts of the Al character. I may have to watch an episode or two with a different perspective. Great interview.
People thought that Ed O'Neill was the deputy in Burt Reynold's hospital room when Jon Voight is telling Lewis (Burt) that they had to change their story.
yeah, I kind of agree but then again, he was spot on when talking about MMA so he certainly seems to know what he's talking about. so maybe that case of 'in my day' might not be as delusional as it appears.
Is it just me or can you guys also listen to this man all day!! He's a legend
Ed is always a fantastic interview. I wish he would do more.
You wish he would do more? He was turning 70 when you posted your comment. Give the man a break lol
Football legend, 4 touchdowns in one game
🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Great interview. If only late-night formats would allow a guest to talk freely like this.
Scott So true. Late night is all about playing games and stupid quips. Conversation is a lost art
Fallon?! Just a train wreck of a host and interviewer.
Late night shows are network propaganda.
Fascinating interview. I can listen to this guy tell stories all day.
I’ve watched a couple interviews with Ed. He seems to be the most connected celebrity in the industry. He knows everybody.

I love Ed Oneill... I'm from Youngstown and he is a legend.

Wow.. What a great guy he is.. !!!
There's something about Ed saying someone is a friend that makes you feel like they're actually friends, rather than most Hollywood people who throw around the word "friend" casually
Ed should have his own talk show he is so awesome to listen to.
god his memory is amazing
Dutch is one of my favorite movies
Thank You Uncle Joe.
It's nice seeing a man like Ed O'Neil loved as he is in Hollywood and show business. The honest opinion is about dead.
Ed you were also in the dogs of war, you played a brief role, but you were great and rememberable
I wish he had asked him about how he decided to make the move pro football to acting--quite a move! What a terrific actor, Ed O'Neill is, and a good man.--Kevin Whelan
Al Bundy, Jay Prichard, FANTASTIC!!
Love Ed O'Neill!
Peggy: Al, it is raining outside
Al: Ooh Good! Maybe if I sleep with my mouth open, I will drowned.

How could they forget John From Cincinnati? What a great show.
This interview makes me love Ed O'Neill even more!.
Summabitch. Fresh back from google. You got me.
When did he die ?
@@henryrodena3207 You are right. I'm looking and can't find any info. Thanks for correcting me. Really appreciate it! Makes my day!
@@henryrodena3207Thanks for the correction!
Dutch is a classic.
Agree or disagree, I loved his honesty thoughts and takes on boxing.
My dad loved Married with Family. He would watch it and laugh and laugh. I never understood why. But he’s from Ohio and listening to this interview I’m wondering if he related to parts of the Al character. I may have to watch an episode or two with a different perspective. Great interview.
I love it..😂 “what do you see in him”
Best part of interview is rich let’s him talk!
Would love to see Ed go on the Joe Rogan podcast and talk fighting
Dutch was a fantastic movie.
Youngstown proud. Mahoning Valley strong
People thought that Ed O'Neill was the deputy in Burt Reynold's hospital room when Jon Voight is telling Lewis (Burt) that they had to change their story.
8:21 Hilarious
Id love to see him play Lenny from Of Mice And Men
He is proud of his Irish roots
Rousey never was a fighter, she was a bully. It was fine as long as she could bully opponents. At the first obstacle, she quit.
can you guys get Danny Devito on maybe? Or anyone from "It's always sunny in Philadelphia"?
Everytime they say Youngstown I think of The Boss 😂
Love it: like don’t like him don’t care for this don’t care for her…. Honesty!
Always the loafers no socks.
Not mentioning Ford Fairlane is amateur hour for the Rich Eisen show
Sorry folks but to me “Dutch” was awesomely funny!
Favorite role? You guys didn't include Lt. Amos from The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. Shameful. "Booty time, booty time....across the USA!"
Booty time, booty time, hey hey hey!
Stop 🛑 interrupting him !!!!
Herry Greb in 1918 fought 22 times with 2 draws and 1 loss. A lot of fights in one year, but Ed's wrong here
p
Mayweather is overrated bum fought has beens
I love Ed but he’s about as delusional as it it gets when it comes to boxing. He’s got a horrible case of “In my day”
yeah, I kind of agree but then again, he was spot on when talking about MMA so he certainly seems to know what he's talking about.
so maybe that case of 'in my day' might not be as delusional as it appears.
Boring...
