    I'm only half way through this video , but I had to stop and comment. WOW!!! I can only imagine what the PUCKER factor must have been just hanging from those straps. Good going team. Later. Semper Fi

      It was a pretty strange feeling knowing we were held by only 2 straps, but we saw several boats go through so we were confident in the Parks Canada staff.😎

    Great video, best I have ever seen showing the Big Chute. Fantastic trip and some amazingly close channels. A person has to be very attentive on the Trent=Severn. Enjoy

    Jody and I watch a lot of Loop porn as we are starting our adventure January in Florida (hopefully we can meet you along the way). You post some of the best quality videos and music that we have seen. This episode, is the best that we have seen of the Big Shoot.
    Great job!

    Met one of your fellow Loopers at Lock 32 in Bobcaygeon this past Sunday. (July 31) They had the gold burgee and currently working on their platinum burgee. They're up from Key West Fla. for the summer. Cheers 🇨🇦

      Thanks Greg for your comment and for watching! A large majority of loopers are American and quite an accomplishment to be doing the loop twice!😎

    I camped on Beausoleil Island in 1968. It was a trip I will never forget and I'm glad it still looks much the same as I remember. Maybe some day I'll be back. Thanks for the memories.

    How cool is that! What a great video guys. Always wondered exactly how that was accomplished! Note to self, get bottom cleaned before the Big Chute or possibly be embarrassed!

    It looks like the boats rest on their keels. How would pod drive boats be accommodated?

    • @staycool123
      @staycool123  Год назад +1

      The boats are lifted by slings so the slings would have to be placed appropriately. It would be best to ask Parks Canada directly if your boat is pod drive. We would be surprised if they couldn't accommodate pod drive boats.😎

    Kind of a silly question i know... but what did you use to "Oil" your wooden patio furniture? Loving your videos... Thanks!

    • @staycool123
      @staycool123  2 года назад

      No question is silly! I used boiled linseed oil and it works very well. Thanks for watching!

    Wow, what an adventure! Never have I seen anything like the railway. Are the locks and such fee-based or part of the national infrastructure?

    • @staycool123
      @staycool123  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching Bob! The locks are run and maintained by Parks Canada, a Federal Department of Canada and there is a fee for locking through.

    Wow, one day we'll get ourselves over there through Big Chute :)
    I had a question for you. How are the rules for leaving Ontario (I assume that is your home province) for leaving extended periods? Do you plan to dock the boat at some point and come back to Canada to make sure you don't lose your health coverage?

    • @staycool123
      @staycool123  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching Marcus. Great question about health care for Canadians. We will be addressing it in an upcoming Q&A episode... stay tuned!

    What is water depth and temp?

    • @staycool123
      @staycool123  2 года назад +1

      The minimum water depth throughout the entire Trent-Severn is 5-feet and the average water temperature is around 24C in July/August but can vary. Thanks for watching!
