- Part 2 of our epic adventure the Aldermen Islands. We look for a place to anchor overnight and find the bay is riddled with flying fish. An early morning start sees us get straight into the kingfish action and finish off the day with an epic dive.

We did a charter years ago out of Whakatane and spent the first night next to White Island. With the light over the side the flying fish arrived and when the Kingis chased them they went into flight, straight in to our landing net when close enough. A bloody awesome experience just watching them. Love your Side Mission, please please make more of them, they are great, Cheers.

in Hawaii we put a sheet from the roof of the cab down and shine a bright light on it. The flying fish... Malolo here in Hawaii... flies and hits it. Only issue is them nailing you when you're standing on the deck trying to fish. It kinda hurts LOL.
