Good morning from Philippines!😊 Yey! This made my day! I’m soo happy you liked the foiled portrait I made for you guys! I also love the part when you two are speaking in tagalog hehe medyo shy pa si Marco. 😄 Anyway, happy for you guys eventho it’s just a short stay you were able to spend time with fam and internet friends/followers hehe. Sana ma-meet ko din kayo next time and ma-push ang next vacay nyo sa beach. Take care always! 😊
Enjoyed this so much and love it when you speak your home language and pronounce the words and meeting your followers they are so kind.❤❤🎉love this for you and Marco is always super supportive couple goals .
I’ve been looking forward to this one. I’m Filipino-Mestizo born in The Bay, never been to the Philippines - I’m glad you spoke to the sentiment about it being a confusing and conflicting trip, with the poverty. I am reluctant to go, though I want to; knowing some elements may break my heart. Great edit, and loved the clips from your other trips at the close. 🖤
I can totally relate to you feeling like not fully belonging to your place of birth, but also not to your current location because I came to the states when I was 8 too, but from Korea! It's an interesting situation to be in, but I truly think that gives us a unique perception of our surroundings :) Loved this vlog so much!
I've learned to refer to the Philippines as a developing country or over-exploited country instead of third world country because that's using language that diminishes our history being colonized, our culture lost, and resources exported. I also understand that we've all got complex histories with our connection with the home land. In any case, I do appreciate the joy and beauty you share! I would love to go visit there with family one day.
oh please. Its every filipinos dream from the provence to come to the United States. They embrace the west. Stop with that crap, it doesn't exist, go ask the filipinos in the barrio, they will take the United States ideals more than staying in squalor.
super love it! hope you and Marco can go back next year. I missed the meet-up but I am so happy you were able to go around, enjoy Filipino food and hospitality as well. :) God bless always.
This video was AMAZING and thank you for taking me back to Manila! Hope you are able to do Boracay and Palawan next year, and I will be watching your VLOGS! Salamat!
Waited for this omg finally 🤍🫶🏼 Just had a month long trip extended to 36 days last Christmas and stayed a week in Palawan it was definitely one of my memorable trip back home. 😭
So worth it. stayed a week in an Airbnb in El Nido 6-7 minutes walk away from Nacpan beach which a lot of locals recommended as the best beach in the area. I highly recommend to rent a van with/without a driver or if comfortable a scooter to get around.🤍🇵🇭
Welcome home!!! Alam mo ikaw talaga ang reason why I changed to (mostly) Khaite wardrobe. Got rid of most of my more colorful stuff and stuck to white, nude/beige/creme, a little black & gray. And pink (di ko kaya ilet go ang pink talaga) as my pop of color. It made a difference talaga in terms of spending and flexibility in the way I dress. Anyway, happy to know that you enjoyed your vacation. I hope you got to eat all the food you craved haha.
Loved the vlog esp since we both were in Manila at the same time (sorry I missed the meet up?) Buying a new suitcase for pasalubong is so relatable! People back home are so generous esp of their time huhu 🥹
I usually watch your vlogs from our tv but had to rush to my phone to write this comment! This was such a short but sweet vacay 🥹 You guys were so cute trying to speak Tagalog, and one of you guys are from Pampanga whattttt? Crazy how this vlog made me homesick again when I was just there last November. I was sick during our first 2 weeks too and it felt like a waste 😢 Loved that your fans spoiled you so much, but more like Wade 😂 I def get what you meant when you said it is a very conflicting trip. You see people around you working their hardest while we enjoying ourselves, it feels kinda weird. It is HOME but then at the same time, we ask ourselves if we can still live there again someday (?) so the disconnection part is there too. I was also very young when we moved to Canada but for some reason you still remember the memories, the food, the culture, just everything back home. You are such an amazing person for donating the funds to Red Cross PH! We can only do so little to help so I applaud your sincerity! I think this has got to be my fav out of all your trips so far, short yet meaningful ❤ PS. We like seeing blonde Alyssa again 😛
Omg it’s not often I hear Filipino Vloggers go to Clark in Pampanga. My home town!! Love it!! And yes, it makes sense. I left Pampanga when I was 5 for Sydney Australia so totally get it the “belonging” Have a fab time
And I totally have the sentiment. It’s emotionally overwhelming the poverty of the country. So, much more needs to be done education, health, medical to name a few it’s overwhelming from all levels.
You should visit Sicogon Island on your next trip back. It’s a perfect getaway if you want to relax. It’s near Islas de Gigantes so you can do island hopping (best to go there during summertime, March-April).
What a beautiful vlog ❤ thank you for sharing and the beach omg breathtaking it reminds me of Dominican Republic especially the ending from my experience visiting family it's bittersweet 🤍🙌🏽 the food I got hungry watching this lol
You should have gone to the BGC Google/RUclips HQ too - manila was number one in tech since the 70s, btw. That would've been a treat for you. Musems, and the Tech zones, etc. It was a good video, well done!
I’m half Salvadoran so I feel your sentiments on traveling to a place that can be polarizing in certain ways because of it being a third world country but absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing ❤
I miss Manila, and how everything is close to each other. Syempre ang taho at bibingka❤😊 Thanks for sharing this vlog, parang nasa Pilipinas ulit ako. I can’t wait to go back. (hope to hear you guys talk more in tagalog 😅❤ - and I hope I bumped in to you in NYC 🙏🏻😊)
Hey Alyssa, I love watching your vlog, but sometimes, the music is way too loud and then I have to lower down the volume, and then I can’t hear your voice so I have to increase the volume, lol.
It is a developing country and there’s poverty and it’s visible. Yet Filipinos are honestly tired of hearing that as it really just reiterate the obvious. We don’t go to NYC to focus and be conflicted about the homelessness and drug abuse around it’s there it is visible and it’s a reality bigger than most of us. The Philippines, with the inefficiency and corruption of the national government, was able to create a middle class and it’s not as small as people might think. I was born and raised in Europe and I used to always make the same comment but I stopped after living in the Philippines 🇵🇭anyhow nothing wrong if you’ve pointed this out, at the end of the day it’s the truth.
Please stop the loud music on your videos! I am probably one of your biggest fans. Your voice and videos influence me to buy, but the music you play is so loud. If I need Beyonce I will listen to it on my own. You don't need music to make your videos successful!
That’s so nice of you to donate your revenue from this video to the Philippines Red Cross 🤗 I wish more influencers were like you!
