For first time in the Philippines the best tour are Puerto princesa San Vicente and El Nido tour next is Boracay and then Bohol . Cebu is for cayoneering waterfalls sardines run and oslob if you go to Cebu.
Thank you! We only had 2 weeks, but we went to Boracay, Cebu (Moalboal & Oslob), Coron and El Nido! New vlogs coming every week🇵🇭 Puerto Princesa and Bohol are definitely on our list for when we return😊
@@sophieloulu you can also do the tour 2 hours south of Manila like Tagaytay city a city in the ridge of a volcano or shooting the rapid in pagsanjan falls this activity is only done in the Philippines. It is only 2-3 hours by driving.

Thank you so much! Everyone has been so welcoming❤️ I have vlogs coming from Boracay, Cebu, Coron and El Nido over the next few weeks🇵🇭 But many more islands on our list for next time!
Would you recommend Philippines or rather going for the 4th time to Thailand and go to the Philippines years later, when they become more tourist friendly?
We loved our time in the Philippines as much as Thailand! We didn’t see many tourists in Manila, but there were lots more once we got to the islands. The islands we visited are definitely less industrialised than those we visited in Thailand, but they felt very safe and it meant we experienced more of the culture, which we loved! (Although I can’t speak on behalf of all the islands😂) Despite there being fewer transport options and hotels than in Thailand, we found it easy to get around and found nice places to stay. I definitely recommend going if you have the opportunity🇵🇭 It’s nice to know we got to visit before it becomes too touristy!
I usually compare wise and remitly for sending money they are much cheaper and have a higher value than western union. You also get lesser value if you are withdrawing from your debit card compare to sending yourself money from money transfer companies. 😀😀
Thank you! I think we went with Western Union in this case as we had recently used them elsewhere and we were close to multiple agent locations. We also got about a 10% charge when using our Wise card at the cash point we tried at the mall, despite it saying no charge - think we just had bad luck that day haha😊
Your title can be somewhat misleading as many vloggers often mention 'Manila' but predominantly focus on a day spent in BGC. I split time between BGC and Makati areas, and I am the first to point out that they may not provide the most accurate representation of 'Manila' or Metro Manila in 2023 or any other year. It's important to note that 'Metro Manila' encompasses a much broader and diverse area beyond BGC, which, on its own, may not offer a comprehensive view of the entire Manila metropolitan region. Just to provide some context to the viewers who have never been to Manila Metro area. Welcome to the Philippines.
Yes it’s amazing how big Metro Manila really is! Understand I didn’t explain this as well as I could have in the vlog, but I tagged the correct places in the description as there is a word limit in the title😊 We were stopping in the city for less than 24 hours and really had only 12 hours out exploring, so of course can only provide my opinion on how much we we were able to see, which was BGC is Taguig, and small glimpses of Manila and Pasay from Manila Bay and the SM Mall of Asia🇵🇭 Sorry if this was misleading! And thank you😊
Thank you so much for subscribing! The hotel at the time was £80 for the night, including breakfast for 2 people - but we had a discount through Trip.com, so got it for £63😊
You mean "Metro Manila". "Manila" is just one of 16 cities that comprise "Metro Manila". BGC is in Taguig. SM Mall of Asia is in Pasay. One reason why those places you visited seem so apart is because they are. They're located in different cities within Metro Manila. Anyway, welcome to PHL! Enjoy your stay. ♥
Thank you - yes incredible how big Metro Manila is! I learnt this more as we travelled and definitely didn’t explain it as well as I could have, but I tagged the places in the description. Thank you so much🫶🏻🇵🇭
@@sophieloulu You're welcome! I did not mean to sound rude. I'm just helping promote correct location / geography so welcome foreigners like yourselves will not have misunderstanding with airport taxi telling them "Manila" but they actually want to be in a different city within Metro Manila. Enjoy your stay ! ♥
I admire people like you who travelled to the Philippines despite the issues and the persistent negative comments about various aspects of life in this country. I must say though that the Philippines is not as bad as portrayed in international media and social media platforms compared to other countries all over the world based on reports by reputable and highly reliable international institutions based on scientific surveys they conducted. Here's what they report said: On the issue of personal safetysafety: Based on the latest Global Law and Order Report by Gallup - a US consultancy firm based in Washington, Singapore was the Safest country in the World with a Law and Order Index of 96. The Philippines was on the 30th spot as the safest country in the world with a Law and Order Index of 85. It is tied with France, Hongkong, Croatia and Slovakia. The US ranked 41st safest country along with Italy, Germany, Armenia and Lithuania with a Law & Order Index of 83. World ranking of the ten South East Asian countries: Singapore topped the list with Law & Order of 96; Indonesia on 5th place as safest country in the world (Law & Order Index - 92); Vietnam, 29th (86); Philippines on 30th place (85); Cambodia, 40th (84); Laos, 50th (82); Malaysia, 52nd (81); Thailand, 77th (76th); Myanmar, 85th (83). The higher the Law and Order Index, the safer the country is. Another issue is Air Quality/.Allegedly, the Philippines is a polluted country. The air we breathe impacts on our health. In 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) said living in air polluted environment reduced a person's life span by two years. Air pollution is linked to health problems such as respiratory diseases, hearth diseases, asthma, skin and eye infections according to Disease Control Department. Thailand ranks second in air exposure to air pollution among South East Adian countries, according to WHO's State of Global Air Report. Thailand competes with Indonesia each year to take the top spot for air pollution. According to the list of the world's Most Polluted Countries and Regions (Historical Data 2018 - 2022) published by IQAir, a Swiss company that tracts air quality, Indonesia was the most polluted country in South East Asia (workd ranking: no. 26 as most polluted country in the world), followef by Thailand (world rank: no. 57), Malaysia ( world rank: no. 59), Philippines (world rank: no. 69), Singapore (world rank: no. 77) Note: The ranking is from MOST polluted to LEAST polluted. Who wants to return home from a holiday with respiratory infection as a souvenir?
Thank you😊 Can definitely agree with this and thank you for sharing these stats! People from the UK are often wary because of foreign travel safety advice provided by our UK government, but they have warnings like these for countries all over the world! As long as tourists are well informed and take the necessary precautions, they will continue to visit👍🏻 We had an incredible time, the Filipinos were beyond welcoming and we didn’t face any issues - just lovely friendly people❤️ I have recommended the Philippines to everyone I have spoken to and they are all eager to visit🇵🇭
