Q:why do i have to remove tf card when recharge?
A: beacuse it supports recording while charging,take out the card, the cam will auto turn off.
if you dont want to remove tf card, make sure it is off.

Only problem with mine is that I can't seem to get the infrared to turn on.
Impossible to enter in Hi 1080p video mode. Only the 720p and photo mode is available. The camera refuse to blink blue/red and enter in 1080p mode. A solution ?

I gave up trying to figure out how to operate this camera. Too many "press button and watch lights" and differing settings. I had the Cop Cam which is basically the same but simpler operation. It costs more but comes with the TF card.

So my night vision wasn’t working So I took it apart only to find out that those so-called LED bulbs was an actual piece of plastic that had no bulbs at all no connection or anything almost as if I was sold like a model or something I totally got ripped off
TO TURN ON/OFF - press and hold the power button till the blue lights turns on, blue lights means stand-by mode (blue color light).
MOTION DETECTION - hold the M button for 3 seconds until a little red light blinks and then disappears, motion detection video length is 10 minutes and 12 seconds per segment. To end motion detection is to tap M once.
TAKING A PICTURE - press M once for picture mode then tap power button to take a picture, to end it, tap M once and goes back to stand-by mode.
TAKING A VIDEO - from stand-by mode, tap power button and right away it takes a video, to end it, tap power button again, goes back to stand-by mode.
MOTION DETECTION WHILE CHARGING - while charging the device, press and hold for 3 seconds the M button until red light blinks, motion detection is now active. Still 10 minutes and 12 seconds long per segment. to end it, tap M once.
NOTE: - you can only use the motion detection feature if you are connecting it to the cellphone charger.
- no motion detection when connected to a computer, charging only.
-this guide works for most spy cams. other models might be slightly different.

what about motion detect?
Mine flashes blue on and off when powering it via USB or when holding the power button, if i release the power button it just stays off. It goes on and off by like a interval of 1 second. Any idea what this means? It happened after trying out a new lens using the sq11 as webcam using the software splitcam.

I had this problem too.. try this: press the power button to turn it on then press the mode button and go through all three modes and then stop at the mode where its only blue (720p) (not the blue/red one with 1080p)
this helped me - its not the best video quality but it does work at least
since I started recording in 720p it works every time (video and audio) and not just audio like it used to record when filming in 1080p

Hi, I just got one of these and the light will only change from red to blue plus when you play back the video there is only one second of video and it freezes although the sound keeps going, I suspect it is a faulty camera right?

Mine is able to automatically turns on and start recording when external supply (in this case, 12v car socket) but when i turned my car off, the camera continues to recording. Any reason why is this happening. As far as i know, the camera will automatically stops and turn off when the external supply is cut off.

MidZoo i bought 2 on different occasions. The first one will auto on and starts recording when i turn on my car, and stops recording and turn off when i shut my car off. But the 2nd camera will only auto on and starts recording and doesn't stop and off when i shut down my car. Both are the same model.

This camera would be much more popular if it had more buttons. A power button that does six different things is too confusing.

Dave Joseph - Nonsense. The more buttons, the bigger camera. This is MINI CAMERA. 2by2 inches. That is the point, that is main feature of this small and smart device. There is no space for (anyway unneeded) buttons.
I would agree if the led's gave a better visual feedback, but the visual feedback is pretty pathetic.

I just bought this little camera and the mini sd card that came with it, is stuck in it. How do I get it out?
you have to use a tweezers, or I use a fingernail clipper not so tightly squeezed as to cut the card!

I think I've made a mistake to buy this camera. Not because of its performances but because I just wanted to see a part of my house IN REAL TIME when I am working (in my house).
And this is not possible I think. This camera just records and THEN you can watch the recording on your computer or TV.

Hello, i have bought one of the sq11. I have recorded for 2 days but now it doesnt charge, doesnt record. the led light stays on in blue. I did the reset of the sq11 but still no sign of life. Any idea what happened?

Would have been better with verbal instructions as well. Not much was said and I think these are low quality cameras.
