I think this is a brilliant production. I blame the BBC for the motor noise every time a Dalek moves its head. They are supposed to be stealthy 🥷. You would hear them a mile away. Anyhow, it’s very atmospheric and very well done 👍 👍👍
I really like where this is going, the imperials have updated themselves a little bit given the motor sounds, they feel a bit more reinforced can't wait to see them slowly develop the bronze models soon!
This was great! The CGI, cinematography and sets where amazing, the music was really good, the voice acting was pretty good too. And the story is quite gripping. Gonna give it a 7.5/10 Can't wait for the other episodes!
On the whole I love these animations but my one criticism would be the loudness of the dalek servo / motor noise. It's way too loud if we're to believe their technological superiority.
Gonna be honest. The intro interested me more than the actual episode, I'd recommend adding more to the episodes because this was really empty, a better way of doing it would be to increase the run time of each episode to be around maybe 10 - 20 minutes? Another problem I had was with the Dalek voices, they felt oddly calm and unaggressive. The CG was decent but could be worked on. The camera work was actually really good except when the ship flew over it, I'd recommend adding some camera shake for that as it gives the feeling of a powerful threat.
There are still two more episodes to come. It was originally one long film and I eventually decided to split it up into episodes and this one just ended up being the shortest. I completely agree with your point about the voices, I'm still not 100% happy with them but it was the best I was able to do. I'm still pretty new to audio so if I ever return to this effect hopefully it'll be better. This was definitely the biggest project I've ever attempted but I agree that I still have a lot to improve on, the intention behind making this was to push myself a bit further and improve my skills. Anyways, I'm much happier with the next two episodes and when I release this as one full film this first episode slots in much nicer. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series and I really appreciate you taking the time to give some feedback :)
