  • The Sony A9 III shooting at high shutter speeds outdoors at many times F 1.2. also video shot at 24p, 60p and 120p super slow in 4K.
    See the Sony A9 III in action with high shutter speed shooting and see how this will change how you shoot natural light portraits or anything out doors in bright light for now on.
    Other cameras just can't do this but the Sony A9 III can. Another day using the camera and another day of finding another way it will change how we shoot for the better.
    I used the Viltrox 75mm 1.2 lens on the Sony A9 III and shot at F 1.2 a lot in bright sunlight with no ND filter. Just amazing no more ND filters needed for photos out in the bright sun and you can use your lens wide open. The when you need or want too use flash the Sony A9 III can flash sync at high shutter speeds knocking down the sun so you need much less flash power as you shoot wide open.
    Here is an Amazon link to buy the lens. Using the link helps me to keep making more video. thanks

    Was shooting with a AD200 flash yesterday at 1/10000 of a second outdoors at 2.8 no HSS flash setting needed and super fast recycle times as you only need 2.8 of light output. Amazing..

    Great review.
    About the viltrox 75,
    Wanted to know if there are any updates on af performance after firmware update 1.0.4 in Nov 23 as people say that it was not reliable for fast moving subjects like birds, running pets, children, etc in the very first firmware?
    I am in the market for buying one.
    I currently have sigma 18-50 f2.8 for my a6700, looking to have a prime now-- confused between sigma 56 f1.4 and the this viltrox 75.
    Performance wise 56 seems to be reliable.
    Wether sealing, image quality wise viltrox seems better. Also this will add a bigger focal length for my use.

    .... videos without ND-Filter too?

      You can but you still need a ND if you want to drop it doen to the standard for video to get your shutter speed down. But is will work as the video I shot I did not use a ND filter I just let the camera set it self for that. I only changed the shooting frame rate from 24 to 60 then to 120 for that.

    I am returning mine after 5 days of use ! this camera is definitely not for flash photography/ studio ! first of all shutter speed goes at max at 16000 shutter speed at multiple mode shoot only. 80000 shutter speed is only in single mode shoot! color shits are all along those variable speeds you need to sync flash manually in order to shoot with variable shutter speed,and it's time consuming, and i suspect that its still not accurate and it might be the reason for power color shits strength light intensity inaccuracy .Another issue is the noise and Aperture change at values like f8 noise is so big and noticeable that it makes picture not usable bottom line its a real downer on photography side but videography is definitely a big high

      I am not seeing any of this jut got back shoot outdoors with flash doing more testing. I shoot with off camera flash all in manual so all the settings stay the same ones I set it but I am loving git so far. I have been hitting 1/20000 shutter speed with it using flash and that is as high as I think I would ever need to go. Color is staying consistent from shot to shot. I am not seeing big noise at F8 I tasted it at that to but for me the point is I dont need to shot at F 8 now out in the sun and can shot at f2.8 or f4 or even t a 1,8 or 1.2 and use flash now for portraits we do outdoors.

      @@goactivemedia it’s about studio photography not mounting a flash on your camera or setting it remotely it seem you are not familiar with portraiture .

      @@yohannsphotographyvideogra9542 I do more portraiture and outdoor weddings then most people for over 25 years now. We shoot around 120 to 130 jobs a year. This is our 26th year working on the beach so I have shot over a thousand of them but we shoot everything outdoors. I shot inland years before that for a total of 32 years now. When needed I use off camera flash. In the past I had a full studio two different times but we are in a beach town and everyone wants photos on the beach so we closed the studio and just shoot work on the beach shooting. I got the A9 III for the flash sync speeds it can do so I can knock the sun down outdoors for the first half of jobs as the sun is still very bright here on the beach an hour before sunset when we first start. So in place of shooting at F 11 to F16 with high flash output I can now shoot at F4 to 5.6 and knock down the background even better. Or for a single person shoot at even F 1.4 or 1,8 and knock it down. So far testing it works great. We start this years season in mid March coming up soon. I do not mount a flash on my camera have not done that in a good 20 years now. Like in the video I can now also shoot natural light even at F 1.2 and no ND filter is needed with the A9 III another great advantage for our business.

    cool videos but you can just drop any other mirrorless to extended iso50 and shoot at 1.2 at 1/8000 sec

      @goactivemedia 3 месяца назад

      But you can not do the flash sync speeds. I am using the high flash sync speed on just about every job now. This has changed how we shoot weddings and portraits. Shooting at 2500 to 4000 all the Time now. This gives super fast flash recycle times as no HSS is needed.

    Did you have overheating problems?

    • @goactivemedia
      @goactivemedia 6 месяцев назад +2

      So far no but I have not tested it for long shooting yet. I have been using two a6700s the most for video in my studio area. I run them off a dummy Battery plugged in and I have to leave the battery door open and flip out the back screen and that fixed any overheating on it. I have left the main one that stays mounted on a teleprompter setup on for hours like this in 4k mode going into my Mac to record into OBS. Have not played with the A9 III that much for video yet as the a6700 works so well. Used the a6700 for a month traveling in Portugal shooting every day and it did fantastic.
