@@TheDudeMyDude Correct. Staind is massive within the industry and a staple of many fans within the genre. Calling people underrated is just a lame trend for likes. It's as if because someone doesn't know a band well they're underrated as soon as they find a lot of their music enjoyable and, because they didn't know, they're 'underrated'. It's annoying.
Dude, kills every cover. Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd......I have been on the biggest Aaron Lewis kick the last two months. He has range as well. Great singer
These guys killed it, definitely one of the best covers of Comfortably Numb that I've heard. Now maybe I'm biased 'cause I'm a huge Floyd fan, but I wouldn't say it's better than the original. Aaron Lewis is great, he doesn't get enough recognition.
yes he can I love his voice and everyone of his song's, theres always some band and or singers where I only like a few of the songs but stainds songs I love everyone of them ...
Staind has an amazing ability to do these "super covers", a super group covering another super group. They're do a wonderful job of staying true to the original why still having their own style and talent ring through.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown, The dream is gone. I have become comfortably numb. Pink Floyd verge on genius
I saw him live last summer, and it was the best show I have ever been to. We cheered for an encore and sadly he didn't give one, so I had to come here and listen to him over and over again! haha.
They both have emotion. That doesn't make them Emo. That makes them dinamic. How they can put into words things that were thought to be unspeaskable. Waters did a 5 star job and Lewis did a 5 star job doing a cover of him. I agree with you patholog. I used to listen to pink floyd in high school like15 years ago. And I was excited to see that Staind did a cover for Comfortably Numb. Great song. Thanks Staind.
Stain is an awesome singer off pink Floyd comfortably numb song should be proud of all other bands including Pearl jam, Black! he's one of the greatest singers of all time singing the song that expired him today',the diversity in your music there is no words I cannot describe in my hart but thanks you my favorite is so far away!!?
That is one of the best songs ever!!!!!! His voice is so good!!!! But Pink Floyd was better! I saw Floyd live and it was the best show!!! But Aaron did a awesome job at it!!!!!!! I love everything staind does!!!!! One of the best bands ever!!!!
I think this is great! And there's a reason this one seems "dull"... It's because the song is Comfortably Numb. Comfortably Numb. Numb! Numb implies dullness, but Aaron brings it out and makes it soothing, hence the Comfortable part. All he did was break down the lyrics and perform accordingly, and I think that's what makes this awesome.
Live. Seminole Hard Rock. Did Hotel Calif too. Part of patience by GnR. Comfortably numb by Aaron is different live. Comon I've heard the original a hundred times in fifty pickup trucks. This cover is by far noteworthy. W/guitar solo, too. He makes covers sound like others cover him.
Agreed! His broody voice give the song more of a darker, heavier feeling and I love it. I actually like this version better for that reason. Pink Floyd's version, though it was the original, just doesn't have the same weight and feeling as this one. This one touches me.
I grew up hearing these guys live in my hood at infinity's in springfield and pearl street in northhampton mass the some of the band are freom my neck of the woods he may be one of the best vocalists in the world Jamie d.
this reminds me of the carefree days before parenthood! i love this version so much more than the pink floyd original. this entire album is awesome. hes killin it in country music as well!
Whose still listening in 2024!?
Forever!! ❤
Ditto!❤
👋
Absolutely!
One of the Best voices of my generation!!!
I like the fact that he can do different types of music 😎🤘👍
What an underrated singer. He is one of the best I've heard.
I agree 💙
I don't think he's underrated.. but he's been my go to sing along artist for two decades now
Can’t forget about Lane Staley

I'm addicted to this song! Aaron's cover is amazing! So raw, and emotional...! I definitely appreciate both versions though! 😁🙏
Arguably one of the best covers ever. I can listen to this over and over. Every time I wanna turn it up louder
agree
Without a doubt. This is how it's done, + you know its amazing when you'd almost rather listen to the cover than the original.😬
+Rachel Martin absolutely !!!!!!!!!
+Charles Mcneely I agree completely. As Rachel Martin said, you know the cover is fucking A when you'd rather listen to the cover over the original.
disturbed sound if silence check it out
been listen to Arron and man he's just got the emotion in his voice.
Dude, kills every cover. Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd......I have been on the biggest Aaron Lewis kick the last two months. He has range as well. Great singer
I concur
Don't forget Tool. They've done one of Sober after all.
Mesmerizing...absolutely......and indeed by far the BEST live vocals I have ever heard.....EVERY time I get a chance to see him live I'm THERE!
You should check out Layne Staley alice in chains unplugged...would!! Its fucking god level vocals

DONT WE ALL COME TO A POINT WHEN BEING NUMB IS THE ONLY WAY TO COPE WITH ALL THE SHIT THAT Happens?
Not everyone. For some "comfortably numb" would be ideal and is just a hope.
Wow... You said that 8 years ago.. Haha. Fits this time perfectly
best of the best!!!!Staind........
damn, i could sit and listen to him sing all day. his voice is so lovelyyy :)
I've been addicted to Pink Floyd for 30 years and I say...Well done. You can hear the respect in their cover.
that is easily the best cover of any PF song i have ever heard
This was purely an Epic performance by Aaron Lewis. Loved it!
Arron does the best covers. My son is also a very good musician. He's been to see Arron a few times, he says he is the greatest.
ALWAYS FEELIN GOOD EVERYTIME I'VE HEARD THIS SONG AAAAAAH!!!!
Lewis brings life to it.
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

The true meaning behind this song 🧡🧡
so smooth... it takes a true talent to cover a song like this
