Another scam I forgot to mention is an email that claims to be VistaCreates, its a phishing scam that wants you to click a link and download a folder that probably has malware. please make sure you google any company that reaches out to you before responding.

Hey! Sorry to hear that happen to you. Recently a youtuber named Kat Blaque shared her story of being scammed and hacked too, she also lost her facebook page. They contacted and said that they wanted to do a live, but it ended up being fake. She explain it very detailed in her video, maybe you could check, the method seens the same they used to you. Again, I'm sorry that something like that ended up happening to you, and I hope you get to recuperate your page. (sorry about the english, not my first language )

Scams aren't about if you're dumb or smart, they take advantage of your emotions (trust, fear, greed, compassion etc). It's so important to understand that it's about hacking your humanity to gain access to something profitable.
I'm sorry this happened to you but it's great that you're sharing your experience.

Forget email! You can't trust the phone either. They aren't even spoofing anymore. Instead they are creating their own websites that they push to the top of search results, so their specific phone number comes up as legit. Scammers are getting _wild!_
Without clicking the links or looking at URLs, the search summaries look like they confirm the caller's legitimacy. But if you click the link, the sites look off. Like, off center, fuzzy logo, Google map is actually an image rather than an interactive map kind of off. But if you're in a rush thinking the bank is calling because you are in the middle of losing all of your money at some ATM and all you need to do is give the guy on the phone your social in order to save yourself...well...
All I'm saying is that these scammers have become next level devious.

crazy experience but i'm so glad you got your account back in the end!! i've noticed a lot of Instagram messages i get are accounts that don't even follow me (and are usually private) that want to purchase my work or commission me. i've never responded to them so i'm not 100% sure if theyre legit or not but it is odd to not even follow someone you want to purchase from or hire for work.

the sure fire way to know if it's a scam is to ask for 25% payment upfront. if they oblige theyre serious. and make sure in your terms you write that any chargebacks will be disputed. if it's in your terms and you can prove they agreed then you will successfully dispute with no repercussion.

It's so brave that you shared this. Please don't be mad at yourself for being victimized. Have you considered calling your District Attorney? They likely have a way to report this and if you can share any details that may lead them back to the culprit, you never know, he might land in jail. Wouldn't that be great! It's worth a try to at least explore it. If everyone reports it when it happens, it may push law enforcement to come down on FB for not providing more friendly ways to deal with this more swiftly than 2 months!

I've gotten one with the vague message asking for a painting for an anniversary, with an incredibly broad price range, no specific painting or style or colors were requested, just a small comment about loving my style and how anything from my gallery would do. It was submitted through my request form on my website, so it looked pretty legit. It really was convincing, but a couple of the phrases they mixed up wouldn't make sense for who they said they were. So i left it on read. That Facebook scam is wild, i hate that these things keep evolving and becoming harder and harder to detect, especially when they actually offer money. I hate that you had to deal with that. Thank you for putting this out there, it's only through sharing this kind of stuff that we can help each other 💜

Awww I am so sad that happened to you!! It’s amazing and so kind that you are sharing your story so others can learn from it. It’s scary to share about these kinds of things and I just think so highly of you! These kind of scams can happen to anyone and they really thrive on people not knowing about them because there is a lot of shame people feel when they have been scammed so they don’t want to tell anyone about it. But all that shame should be on the scammer!
I remember my first retail job I got targeted. The scammers knew I was new cause I had been training at the register before my boss put me at a register alone for real. The scammers came up to buy something then they handed me money and when I handed back the change they started yelling at me telling me they had given me a larger bill then they actually did. I was so flustered and trying to do a good job and be nice and that’s what they prey on 😪 they make you all confused and feel rushed so you don’t stop and think. It can honestly happen to anyone. And these scammers are professionals they do it all the time so they know exactly what to say to get what they want.
You are awesome and your art is so inspiring! And just sending some positive vibes your way!!😊

I know exactly how you feel about the cash scam!! I worked at amc theaters in my teens and people used to try to scam me with their cash change claiming that I gave them the wrong change so many times! Luckily there were cameras for proof but then they just turn around and do it to someone else, I hate it!
Thank you so much for the kind words!🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

      @user-fc2xk3uv8y 3 месяца назад +1

this is awful im sorry this happened. as someone who did make this mistake actually, the woman just told me "oh, i gave you a 50" i apologized, got someone to open the register to hand her the rest of the change since i confused it for a 20. if they freak out like that like that it's most certainly a scam. if anything have a manager there when you open the register so you can look at the bill you put in because it'd be at the top that would completely ruin the scams script.

I'm sorry this happened to you. One thing I would say to everyone: ALWAYS be leery of anyone offering money, especially a juicy amount of money, (example, $2,000.00 rather than, say $200.00), and too soon. My thought would be: why does anyone want to give ME this money? What will this person gain? That you fell for this (and that others fall for similar scams) does not mean you (or they) are dumb; it just means you're sincere and trusting, and you assume you are dealing in good faith with other sincere people. It is your good character traits that makes you (and others) vulnerable to such come ons. I'm happy for you that you got out of the mess and got your account back.

Did you log on when you shared your screen? Maybe you had it on show password and logged on he saw it.
Or you pressed a link and logged in through that and that link hd some malware that made him able to see your password.
Really the only thing he needed to do was send a photo or something that had malware on it, and the oboy thing you need to do is open the pictures/press the picture.
Doesnt have to be a photo, it can be a link or other stuff aswell.
That malware can do pretty much whatever They want it to do and programme it to do, here it seems to be either see your password OR get like a copy of your unit (computer or phone) on their.
But one of these ways are the most common way to hack someone.
I just want to add maybe They didnt ONLY take the facebook-password. You should make sure there is notering left on the computer that you shared with him.
I would really make sure They dont have access to anything before you log on to your bank. Especially make sure They didnt installed anything on the computer u shared with them.
And make sure you dont open files like for ex links or photos from just anyone.
    I’m glad nothing worse happened.

DO NOT write down your passwords! That's absolutely the worst as it gives anyone that can view that notebook/piece of paper access to your account. Use a password protected password manager and DO NOT use the same password for any account. If you're using your phone or browser to manage your password make sure that it's protected with a code. Never get remote access to your computer. Most scams are social hacks where you provide the scammer with access. You are generally the weakest security link.
