After traveling for more than 8000 nautical miles, we finally reach our first destination in Tema, Ghana.
It was a wild journey with rough weather all along Indian Ocean & South Atlantic ocean.
I highly recommend you all, to check the previous episodes to get a glimpse of that.
In this video, I am going to show you the approach to Tema along with the events that took place enroute.

I have a question or idea for a future video. Can you tell us about the radios you use? I'm an amateur radio operator (ham radio). I'm curious about the radios you use aboard. Obviously you have a marine radio (and probably a backup or two) to talk to harbors and other ships. What about the portable radios you use for crew to crew communications during inspections, docking, etc? What type are they, what frequency do they operate on? I'm sure you also have a GPS receiver or two for navigation, maybe a satellite link too? What does the ship do for internet when well off shore? Is there a link or is internet only available when you are in port or near a port?

This is exactly what I had hoped to do while sailing. But being all my life on LNGs and in the engine room killed all of those plans. So refreshing to see this . Finally a sailors perspective on YT in a very presentable way. I hope someday an engine room guy does this too and people get to see the challenges involved in that part of the ship on a regular basis as well. Maybe you could train a colleague 😉. You're currently the best ambassador of this profession on YT, NO CAP.

I am a Ghanaian and currently based in Ghana and can confidently tell you Ghana is one of the most open and free countries in the world. Also, piracy in the Gulf of Guinea? New one to me. Hi Karanvir, thank you for another interesting video! I have a couple of questions when you have time. 1. While waiting to go into this port, you 'circled in place' instead of anchoring. Is that because the wait was not very long and not worth to do an anchoring operation? 2. Rat guards! I couldn't really see what they look like. Do they stop the rats from coming aboard or do they trap them as well? I am happy that you like the smaller ship. Had to laugh at the 'same money, less work'. Win-win! With all these new routes and new ports you're getting so much more navigating experience. Great job!❤️
