- News of the late Chadwick Boseman's private battle with cancer surprised his fans and former co-stars, giving them a deeper understanding of the actor and what he was going through over the last four years. One of those people is Chadwick's "Da 5 Bloods" co-star Clarke Peters, who wasn't aware of the health battle he was facing as they shot the movie in Thailand last spring. During an interview on ITV's "Good Morning Britain," Clarke shared kind words about his co-star - and admitted that he got the wrong impression of Chadwick as people doted on him on set. "I'm thinking, 'Well, maybe the Black Panther thing went to his head.' But now … I regret even having those thoughts because they were really looking after him," he said through tears.

Admitting his mistake is the best thing one can do.
@Victor Hardin true
Yep because God can forgive those who judge others if they are not ashamed to confess their wrong doing and come with a clean heart about the situation❤️❤️
Amen. He can now live with himsef
I only though he looked sick, that's it. If people would search their hearts they could only hope to come to that conclusion alone.
This is one definition of what makes a man, a man.
Most people wouldn't have been this real.
That will give him peace. Chadwick forgives him. God forgives him. So shall we. Yes, we should not judge another. Blessings
Yes 😔
Real talk.
@Joe Ann Indeed but there's also the old Army mantra of 'Be, Know, Do!' With what he saw (Know thyself, know Human Nature) he could only have logically and even fairly come to the conclusion he did. We are 'Human' and most of us would have made the same pronouncement. If Chad had been a 'REGULAR' guy, this actor would never have known his PRIVATE struggle and would have kept his first impression of him. And this is what makes the 'Word of God' a 'bitter pill' to swallow and hard for the AVERAGE Human Being to accept: Judge NOT! Following Christ thru that NARROW GATE is indeed hard!
Yes. He didnt hv to admit to anyone that he thought Chad was full of himself. He clearly had to get that negative energy out of his system
Only to realize, he was treated so precious cuz he was on his last days of his life. Man that will hit you really hard.
The massages were propably to ease the pain he was going through due to the advanced cancer.
Hmmmm I could only image smh
Damn man, that would sit on my heart for the rest of my life, even if I apologized for it.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 I think that's why he got so choked up. It will be sitting on his as well. But he will use that for the rest of his days if he chooses to use this as a lesson and decide not to make assumptions about about anyone or anything
Well stated. God rest his beautiful soul 💕🙏🏾
You never know what a person is going through
Joe Ann Amen
I only though he looked sick, that's it. If people would search their hearts they could only hope to come to that conclusion alone.
That's true you never know
Only God can judge me : 2Pac
That's right 👏
Much respect for Mr Peters....for being able to admit he was wrong.
I totally agree with you soooo much!!! Yes much Respect.....
We must learn to not judge so quickly. I pray he gets an Oscar for that last role.
Or an honorary one for a combination of his award nominating and winning portrayals of James Brown, Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson, and Black Panther which was also first marvel movie to be nominated for an oscar.
@Kashmiri A Lol, don't be ridiculous. It's for his fans, friends, and family who supported his career and enjoyed his art. Basically, all who wish to see him recognized even in death as a way to honor him, silly.
@Kashmiri A Please don't. Because you are bad at it and its all about timing, dear.
I only though he looked sick, that's it. If people would search their hearts they could only hope to come to that conclusion alone.
Sky Walker bruh stop talking so weord
He's a bigger man for admitting his inaccurate thoughts of him
It takes so much courage to admit that, hats off
Glad this guy owned up to his mistakes. Most people would just act like they always liked him and said nothing bad about him.
We probably would have all thought the same thing. At least he admitted it
No. I like to.mind my business and not judge others 👺 and so should you
@@ms.coleman8403 you just judged her
This goes to show how healthy Chadwick appeared to be. The furthest thought from this man's mind was that Chadwick was ill. Amazing.
Wow, you’ve gotta respect this man’s honesty. He didn’t kiss up or sanitize his history with Boseman (even though it sounds like it was still friendly). He was honest about some tension between them, and how it was fully based in his misunderstanding.
I try to work each day on being this honest with myself about my flaws.
It is just a lesson in judging folks. Clark Peters is a good man. Nobody is perfect. We all live and learn. I hope I can meet my end with a tenth of the dignity Mr. Boseman did.
That's why I say all the time, "Be kind. You just NEVER KNOW what a person is going through."
Clarke Peters is human, he makes mistakes, and he is quick to admit and correct himself, showing empathy and feel regrets. He is a good man.
How many people you know that will come out and just say you know, I was wrong? Takes a real stand up person to do that.
Much respect! Only a real man publicly corrects himself. You are a fine actor as well. God bless!
Man imagine the guilt he felt for misreading Chadwick. Rest in power King.
We just keep getting lots of lessons from the way Chadwick lived his life
The lesson here is never judge a book by its cover and Seeing without really seeing. He has received his healing although unto death he is no longer suffering or in pain! ❤❤❤ Rest now!❤❤❤
That's why we must not be so quick to judge I know this teaches many of us something
Why are you quoting him if you have video of him saying it.
Yes, she is taking segments from Mr. Peters's *Britain interview* , and posting them here. Media grabs at *anything* to make it their own.
Exactly
Add to the runtime. They gotta profit off a death somehow .....
😩
Boseman we will miss you Brother Wakanda forever RIP black panther Wakanda forever Amen 😢😭🙏🏻
Props and much love to everyone who kept the king's secret the kind of pple everyone needs to be surrounded with 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 RIP Chad
He had A TIGHT family and trusting doctors because usually news of someone's illness gets leaked
He, and everyone else saw how dear *Prince* was treated by media, and those that did not care, when the word was leaked about him being sick. Sad, just sad. *Anyone* should have learned some lessons from that. God embraced Chadwick, and gave him the peace he wanted, and so much deserved. He has known some awesome people, but God chose only some of them, to know about his battle. Those that care, will truly understand. May he rest in peace.
@@ro992 you are absolutely RIGHT..
First impressions are almost always mistaken. They are based on our own fears, judgments, and insecurities. Some people also have anxiety and don’t present well the first time meeting someone or there is some other reason for doing the things they do. Everyone needs to lighten up. Still shedding tears for Chadwick.
Real talk... many people on this thread HAVE said worse about another. If he’s contrite in hindsight, power to him. But we can’t beat ourselves up for our impressions. Especially when they are based on what we observe firsthand. They are what they are. Now had he acted on that impression and treated Chadwick cruelly, that’s a different story. Had he blasted Chadwick on social media, that’s a different story. But he didn’t. He had no way of knowing what Chadwick was going through. It’s great that he has a better understanding now.
Now I’d like to see all the “fans” who are in mourning now but felt the need to call Chadwick a crackhead and such for appearing thin in his videos and photos be this real and publicly apologize and make amends for their cruelty!
Dont feel bad, #ClarkePeters... you simply didn’t know. The fact you are owning your initial thoughts and first impressions of our beloved #ChadwickBoseman... all I can say... RESPECT YOU MICH, BROTHER for being a real man and a beautiful soul yourself!
I never in my life been sad to the point of crying of someone passing away i don't know but when chadwick passed i cried he was like a real life hero to me i miss him so much i really do
You just never know what a person is going thru.. rest easy CHADWICK🙏🙏🙏
The lesson there been : never judge , no one give you a crown or authority to judge the way other live their lives , you may seen a moment but don't who who or why people is the way they are.
If only people took this to heart, people are always judging not willing to walk a mile in someone else's shoes or unwilling to consider maybe the person is going through more than you know etc
It's actually quite funny that he needed a lesson on not judging a book by its cover, given the role Clarke Peters is best known for (Lester Freamon from "the wire")
Judging is only human. You do it unconsciously, sometimes to even evaluate a situation and make decisions regarding people. What you shouldn't do is spread rumours based on your assumptions.
Amen
@@damunaik4 Facts!!!
This is exactly what I meant "How did he do it!?". I knew going through chemotherapy while working could not be easy, he might even have lived much longer without all that stress on his body. This video made me she'd a tear this morning.
Some actors just work through, because they *have* to -- Barbara La Marr and Renee Adoree, classic Hollywood stars, both worked on their last movies while suffering from tuberculosis. Adoree had several hemorrhages on set, and La Marr finally collapsed and fell into a coma before finishing all her scenes, but during that time before, they did not complain one bit. Unflaggingly cheerful and untiring, even in the face of deadly illness. That's what Chadwick Boseman did.
Chadwick is a real life superhero.
I could not work when I was goibg through chemo...my mind is just blown.
Chadwick really really LOVED to act. You can tell. He made plenty of money off marvel he could have said no I’m not going to Thailand in 104 degree weather while doing chemo too. But he looooves acting
Chadwick Boseman was true example of walking in your purpose. The fact that his co-workers are able to reflect on their experience with him during his battle with cancer and see God's purpose in him is beautiful!
That's why you should not assume things about people.
When you are going through this kind of thing it’s very hard to say anything about it.
Exactly. Could relate completely.
I also think it was great you made the acknowledgement of what you addressed to your wife . We all make mistakes and be accountable is what makes us feel better on who we are and what we are about !! Much love to us all . The man was a great actor and what he stood for was greater than that !!! 🌻✌️
Wow this is so sad! Kudos to him for admitting his faults, he didn’t know. I probably would have thought the same thing.
Even if Chadwick never played Black Panther, he lived his life without reproach and we love him so. On to the next life.
Stop jumping to conclusions because you never know what someone is going through.
You didn’t even have to share this because no one knew but you and your wife!! You sharing it shows the man you are and teaches the rest of us!! Thank you sir for being a elder, and leading by example!!
It's easy to judge, we often do it without even noticing. It is hard to admit to your mistakes.
If you look at his face and the smiles you can see all wasn't well.
Who know? Not many. Very BIG of you sir. Thank you for being honest and human. Bless you
I mean, that does sound precious to be honest. Props to Clarke for admitting that. And props to Chadwick for accepting that's how people might feel about him.
Clarke Peters didn't have to admit that. I respect him so much for his honesty 💪🏿😭
I've never met Chadwick Boseman, but it felt like I lost a friend.😇 May his soul rest in eternal peace.🙏🙏
😢I wonder if King Chadwick knew how much He meant to Our community and beyond?

Lord please help our Nation and the rest of the World to heal, 2020 has almost broke US. ✌🏾💜🙏🏾
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😂😂😂😂😂
Forgive yourself, Mr. Peters!!! God certainly will forgive you. Lift your head, receive God's forgiveness and peace, and press on. Leave regret behind. Don't give Satan any of your time. He wants to steal your joy. You have something positive that the world needs. Focus on that!!! You have shown great courage in being open and honest about your error in judgment. That, I believe, better represents your character!!! We are ALL flawed. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to learn from your experience, and to do better toward each other in our thoughts and actions!!! May the God of Heaven pour out blessings in your life!!!
It is sad and it takes a lot courage to admit something like this. Its okay brother, how could you know? Chadwick was a private man and didn't want anyone to pity him even though he was suffering. I am sure if he was still here , he would probably hug you and tell you, its ok.
You never know what other people are going through privately. Things may look and appear to be fine and dandy but they may be going through hell. Colon cancer is no joke. The surgeries are no joke. The chemo treatments no joke. The radiation is no joke. It’s amazing that he was able to work while undergoing all of this. God must have given him strength. He needed every ounce of pampering or attention he got. I know because I have been diagnosed and has had the same medical treatments, during all those times of great suffering I could barely move.
I'm honestly going through stages. 1st shock 2nd denial 3rd now anger. I wish he would have just focus on his health. I know..no I don't know.. I'm just hurt, but I'm glad he is no longer suffering and he is truly at peace. That beautiful soul is now at peace😭😭😭😭
It's a rollercoaster of emotions. 💔
He really said this Black Panther thing got to his head . He has rights to enjoy life and be treated well it shouldn’t take a tragedy to mind the business that pays you. Considering how kind and respectful he was , he was enjoying life to the very end
Dude was low key jealous.
That's why we shouldn't judge people. He was precious and we miss him dearly.
😔 REST IN POWER 👑 #WAKANDAFOREVER👑🕊😔
The passing of Mr. Boseman has made me realize a valuable lesson..let people live their lives the way they see fit..if they are happy, then so be it. We need to stop judging each other by what we see!!
Shout out to Clark aka “Lester” from The Wire. I bet that 5 Bloods scene with Delroy and Chadwick is gon hit him DIFFERENT now
“Lester Freeman” but agree with everything else
Presice oh you dead ass right. My bad. I’m gon edit that
Assumptions we make about others usually says a lot more about us than they do about the other person. It is really a projection onto others of our pre conceived notions. There isn’t a person on the planet that can say they have not jumped to a conclusion about someone else and later found out they were wrong. This story here should make us all pause when it comes to doing that. You truly do not know what someone may be going through. I know I will try my best to remember that.
Well said!!!
Ppl should never judge... we were not placed on this earth for that... you never know what a person is going through... I’m not making excuses for behavior but sometimes its nice just to ask a person how they’re doing or if they’re ok... i continue to suffer silently and I’m surrounded by ppl that are just mean both at work and at home...
No more pain.🙏🏾Rip
That's why people need mind thier business and stop judging folks
Honorable honesty!!!!!!
In some of the public photos, you can see some degree of sadness in Chadwick's eyes. I wonder if he is thinking "if they only knew"?
I have done this too, and in light of this tragedy, I have definitely changed jumping to conclusions.
Don't judge a book by its cover this is a life lesson
2020 is offering up many lessons in life. Grab hold and apply them. RIP Chadwick🙏
Perfect example of why it’s so important to not be so quick to judge anyone, you don’t know their personal battle
So much Strength CB.
In this world everyone is so quick to judge, we don't truly know what each of us is going through at any given moment, be kind to one another.
That's why it is so crucial to treat people how you expect to be treated. You never know what someone is going through. And it's only after death when most will acknowledge how you were to them and how they impacted you.
I’ll miss him so much.
No one has to tell you what they are going through. Even when you tell people your battles, they either pity you or avoid you. But wow, imagine all of those who disparaged his name, must carry that burden.
Rest in peace Chadwick 🙏🙌
Hey spread this everyone Chadwick need his star on the Hollywood walk of fame
It is insane what he was going thru.
It tought me not to make assumptions. Thanks for sharing your regret, sir.
He is going to be missed a lot
We are all human. We assume and judge and we learn from our mistakes.
Cool Lester Smooth, you’ve made me tear up! Xxx
CHADWICK BOSEMAN YOUR LEGACY WILL ON 4EVER!!!❤️❤️😭😭✨🕊🕊👌🏽🥀#WakandaForever #Mambamentaily🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️
We must stop criticizing people on first impressions.
It just comes to show that you NEVER know what someone is truly going through and prejudging someone before knowing the full story is a BIG NO NO we ALL have to learn
This is why judging people off of first impressions is a major mistake. You never know someone's secret battle. Let's be kind and show compassion to one another.
Amen to that
R.i.p black panther
My heart hurts
You never know what people are going through dealing with fighting.
A lesson for us all.
Listening to him talk about his first impressions of Chadwick is upsetting, disrespectful, and hurting. Saying he’s “too precious” to me seems he is jealous of Chadwick career. I didn’t know who Clarke was until he commented on Chadwick. Says a lot about him as a person. But he did admit he was wrong which was good but it’s still upsetting that you judge before you even know the person. At least man up and ask him why he was getting treated at the time. RIP CB
It's so much easier said than done, but this is why we don't judge. Especially on a person's physical appearance or lifestyle. It could all be deeper than you think
Wow... He was quick to judge but didnt know. Smh, a lot of us do that. Lord, forgive him. Silence is golden!
If you actually watch his interview, u will cry a river.
I did. The feels that you get!
He shouldn’t be to hard on himself he didn’t know. It’s just a first impression we’ve all done it before. It’s human nature to have preconceived assumptions about people upon meeting them.
That's the thing though. You don't judge people just because of your imppression of them. You don't know what someone is going through. I applaud him for owning up but maybe he wouldn't have to if he didn't judge the brother.
Exactly I do it all the time as a bad habit
@@blackrottweiler8885 true but he owned his many don't,some were making fun of him in his last days saying he was on drugs I was mostly concerned because he looked sick but some made fun of him ...
Black Rottweiler I hear u but we will always have thoughts about others.I don’t think he judged Chadwick, he didn’t treat him any less because of his assumptions he just had those thoughts about him. Regardless we all can learn something from this
Judge not lest ye be judged. Thank you Mr. Peters for owning up to your assumptions.
Never judge any1 till you know em for sure you don't know what they're going through or been through I'm glad he own up to his as it is hard
OMG HE DIED what I'm so confused 😭😭 I'm low-key crying because he's my favorite marvel character
Where you been at?
I know it feels like a dream
He died a few days ago. Colon cancer. Diagnosed in 2016. He never told anyone. Not even Marvel, it seems. None of the MCU actors-Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Lupita Nyong'O, Michael B Jordan, Tom Holland-none of them, knew
I’m guessing u been off the internet very sad news to come back to.
U must want attention. There's no way u just found out about his death 3 hours ago.😒
A lot more about this guy in death than in life. Sad.
I know right, it’s sad to see, let the man rest in peace.
Heschewingonit right! They’ve been pushing a lot of Chadwick content
Heschewingonit You’re right and he has all the reason to keep his life private which is why it’s such a shock for everyone :/
He deserves the respect and admiration he’s now getting.
Miss you Boseman.
Rip my dear friend and you got to rest now nomore worry about him anymore now .
he was hating... forgive yourself and never assume anything. Chadwick was an embodiment of strength. he was doing all that and had cancer. passed in his role and real life
These comments.... the man apologize for something he said in private and could have never admitted to. I would have probably thought the same thing.
_I CANT EVEN BE MAD😭💕_
