I also have a 10 gt500 and know the 2nd grind lol. Just recently put in a mgw shifter and it’s practically gone tho takes a couple hundred miles to get the shifter worked and smoothed in. Well worth it
That is awesome. I was planning on going with the mgw but just wasn't sure if it would really solve the problem. Thank you for telling me I'll definitly be getting one!
Just picked up a 2010 GT500 in the Kona Blue with white stripes. That shifter is real tough; you've gotta put some shoulder into that shift, man. I'm hoping with the transmission fluid change and an MGW shifter, that it will be far smoother. Let me know if you have any tips or tricks; would love to connect with the community of owners to see what I'm in store for... already doing a 3.0 Gen5 Whipple replacement because the stock was leaking, and about $15-20k of additional work for various improvements while they're doing the supercharger swap.. so I'd like to know what else to look for or do next. Thanks.
Definitely going to love the Whipple. I went with the trinity 2.3 tvs upgrade and it was a different animal. After some serious shifting for a couple of months that shifter smooths right out and gets much more user friendly. I would upgrade to a single piece driveshaft and inspect the rear end bearings. My gears started whining and when I opened it up the carrier bearings broke down so much that the entire gear set moved back and forth about 1/4 inch. Other than that it was an amazing car. The paint is super soft though so be careful.
@@middickmotors6019 Thanks! Yea, hopefully it's something minor or will wear in over time. Just dropped a ton of money on her and got a MGW shifter, plus with the TMF trick - I pray it will be all good.
The mt82 in my 14 gt was junk. Stock in every way, got locked in 2nd gear once. Was rolling around town and got stuck in second gear. Sold it and bought a 2013 f150 roush Rt570. Now I want to sell the roush and buy a 2010 shelby. 13-14 shelby is still too much money for me. Gt 350 is entirely too much money as well. Never buying another car with mt82, if it was good too me. I’d consider a roush mustang or Saleen
Many people have had issues with thier mt82 but I was fortunate enough to not have any issues but I also didnt have a stock clutch. The 2010 shelby has been an awesome car and I would recommend one to anyone.
You cant go wrong with a roush or saleen either depending on what year. The 5.0 roushs are pretty awesome and come with the 2.3 TVs supercharger which is easy to make good power out of it. The 15 and up roush has the 2nd gen coyote motor which means better rods and breaths a little better so you can make just that much more power safely. It all depends on what you like really.
GT500 FTW 🏁🏁🏁!!

Middick Motors also considering a 13 boss 302
A boss would be pretty awesome too. Just depends on what you want out of it.
Middick Motors know much about roush or saleens comparison to shelby and boss 302? I can find them all in the $35k range here in Canada
