    Just out of curiosity, why didn’t you directly wire the motors to the gpio pins?

      That would result in burning the microcontroller, so a MOSFET for each was used to drive them.

    Cool idea. Your video made me want to make something similar, but with a tinywhoop FC with an onboard receiver and VTX. Since the board would also have a 4in1 ESC, you could run two small outrunner brushless motors. Also if I redesigned the frame, all of the components could be screwed in place instead of glued in place for easier replacement, as both the FC and brusheless motors have small screw holes.

    Zamn! This cuts like paper.
    Unfolding the legends of the thin sheet. Amazing work
    But one thing: don't drive coreless brushed motors backwards, it ruins them

    What would be the code to make a ESP32 with camera into a "FPV" emitter?

    “Wing flaps” perfect paper aeronautics terminology - elevons is what they actually are. The most impressive achievement here is that the paper airframe handles the weight of all that tech 😮

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  8 месяцев назад +1

      "Wing flaps", yup, you now know I'm not an aeronautics engineer. However, studying it!
      Yeah, the paper doesn't fold mid-flight despite the weight onboard due to the type of folding that went into the paper airplane to give it sturdiness.

    the latency feel quite high, wonder have any other software solution to reduce that

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  8 месяцев назад

      The latency on mine is actually not so bad as opposed to running other web server applications with the camera. Not sure about a software adjustment, but if the latency bothers you, a 5.8ghz FPV camera may be the right solution.

      Yes, the code works with the ESP32-CAM. I cannot guarantee a plane like this will fly with a heavier board, but if you're confident you can make it, you may try.

    wouldn't a sort of 'control stick' be easier to control, than two sliders?

    • @MaxImagination

      Could be, but would raise the cost and limit the project to being recreated by fewer people.
