Pac is, for me and many others, the truest representation of Hip Hop. Love to see when others make an effort to understand this form of expression called "rap".
He’s saying despite all their troubles and all the outside sources that are affecting them as people separately and together, he loves her and appreciates how she handled struggle. Tupac’s mom was a very intelligent woman who was a Black Panther. She taught Tupac to appreciate art, history, and activism but she also had her own struggles a lot due to being Black in America... something that Tupac could understand later in life because he found himself in similar situations. This song is coming from a place where a man is seeing his mother as a flawed human being not just the villain or superhero he saw her st certain times when he was a kid. Meaning he sees how strong she was to raise him so well with her own human flaws, that he understands a mother can be many things at once.
In the beginning he was explaining how they had troubles when he was younger and didn’t understand his mother’s efforts. He didn’t appreciate her then and this song is his message saying he does now and acknowledges everything she did
Wow this just goes to show how different people realities are. If you grew up in a tough neighborhood this song talks to you at a much deeper level, you wouldn't be sitting there trying to figure out what each line could mean because you feel his pain ,, you feel his hopelessness and disappointment his emptiness and somewhere hidden in there you feel his little joy and happiness. You dont analyze this type of song you feel it...or not...if you do it feels like the words are coming from you personally and you know exactly what every single line means. Just saying
FYI...people of all races loved and love PAC because they could/can identify with him. When he was alive, a LOT of different people listened him. Black, white, Hispanic, Asian, muslim, Christian, Jew, atheist if you love your mom, this song hit you in the heart.
The jist of it is...no matter what they went through, he still loves and appreciates his mother. That's your mama...and no matter how you think she's "treating you", you always respect the woman who birthed you, and raised you under her circumstances. Shoutout to all the single mothers.
Wow you guys really grew up in the suburbs......how cant you understand that...but you guys really gave me a true understanding that people really can't understand anything out of your circumstances
pac was the most wise and intelligent person i ever witness, you need to watch his interviews and do more songs to understand his message to the people, also his mom was in the black panter party, he was raise in this enviroment.
Yes not singing a song to make his mom sound perfect, it's called Art, he's expressing himself and the facts about his life, which is as real as any other person, all families have problems.
My request: 2pac - Life Goes On This one definitely tugs at the heart strings when dealing with grief of any sort. It's made me cry a couple times, but it is also healing at the same time. Good job approaching the other side of 2Pac. If you liked this song, you'll like a lot of his catalogue. Some jams were strictly for the party scene, some were obviously when he was pissed off and he wasnt afraid to say names. Some songs he's very militant and you can see his Black Panther background clearly, and some were just to uplift, show love to his community, and humans as a whole... but he's one of the most multi-faceted hip-hop artists of all time, if not the most. He was involved in a lot of different types of records. I think you'll grow to appreciate majority of his art.
I absolutely love videos like this. Its great to dabble in things that are outside of your wheel house. I LOVE Hip-Hop. But as I've gotten older I listen to EVERYTHING. I'm currently on an 80s Tears For Fears vibe.
There is not one bad feeling towards his Mother in this song. He loved and respected his Mother above All others. No matter how big the struggle, she All ways pulled through. You can only live your life forward and understand it backwards. And thats what he knows now as an adult.
His Mother was a predominant leader of the Back Panther Party and was facing 200+ years in prison and represented herself while she was on trial and was acquitted and she did all of that while she was pregnant with 2pac! There’s so much more to know about him and I hope you guys dig deep into his life! I’m new to the channel I I’ll be following you guys on your new journey!
Have you never loved / "appreciated" a flawed person? Most people are complex, especially the most important people in our lives. No one is one dimensional.
Lol saying it’s complicated what? He’s telling us a start he’s telling us that he’s been thru thick anything with his mom but she is always been his queen to him bc that’s his mom he loves her
Bro they saying they lived poor with a crack addicted mom but he still loved her through her hardships no matter what cuz she was poor n still made shit happen for them as much as she can it's not hard to comprehend lol
I'm sorry to come so straight forward, but I don't think you guys do a good analysis of music. You seem to instantly put your biased judgement on the song before you even got to get into it. You misunderstood some of what you said. I think you guys need to listen to it a few times to be able to comprehend the whole story. His music is complex, but it shouldn't be this hard to understand, even if you don't come from that background.
This part is tough because we are genuinely listening to the music for the first time and react as we go. Obviously the meaning of what we hear first can change and so can our perception. After we do this we both usually listen again several times to really understand. And we do struggle with whether or not to read something about the song beforehand or not since it might change a real blind viewing.
No matter what his family went through love hold them all together. And with that you can't help but to appreciate momma, things could have been worst like separate from each other. But momma went through what she had to do... strength of a black Queen.
His mother is actually a black panther. Tupac became a poet through her and his adversity. He paints the picture exposing culture & political issues endured by him and his family friends. This song is mid career most of his latter music is all gangster rap mostly.
if you guys want to learn more about 2pac there's a lot of documentaries out there about him the one that i recommend and truly a great one is Tupac: Resurrection 2003
He was just saying every thing that he his mom and sister went through but through it all he loves his mom and wrote the song cause regardless of what his mom did she is still appreciated and he loves her she made him who he was...you guys prolly going to have to listen to him more than once...
The separate dad explained, his sister father may have treated him differently being he is not his son. But he still loved his sister. As a child it can make you feel like an outcast.
Yes taking you through a jorney of from begining to where he us, that's why he saying the bad stuff then ends with a positive note, bcus he talking about the stages ppl go through, anger then acceptes and the approprication as you get older and realize it ain't easy for a single parent
There's a live version of this song he performed with a band, and while i dont think Pac was normally a great live performer, his performance of that song was powerful.
React to XXXTENTACION - Guardian angel! Its modern day rap... This artist was killed June 18, 2018 during a robbery after leaving a motorcycle shop, and is being compared to tupac for his personal music and influence on the evolution of hip hop
the first reaction you made by pac he was very angry because the same people that he put on stage and fame try to kill him, and after that they and the goverment try to frame him and go to jail for a crime he didnt do for a year, so he was really upset.
@@tahataimur1859 I agree. We should show them some highlights from this decade at least. These channels always get stuck by the people that only wanna listen to the 90's. That's not all rap is
@@tahataimur1859 there are plenty of current music that is like those. I'm not talking lil pump or trap music, I mean j cole, or some more accessible kendrick.
Can you please listen to "I ain't mad at cha (Clean Version)" by Tupac. I say the clean version because I feel like his third verse is more deep than the original one.
Yaboydred honestly, when he was alive most white folks did like him at all. Especially the adults at that time. It seems that his popularity with white people didn’t take hold until after he died. After his death he pulled off a major crossover. MTV went nuts playing his videos. While he was alive he was so “controversial” that many radio stations avoided him just like NWA. Controversial = speaking up for black folks who couldnt do so for themselves. Then he was murdered and pretty much went icon on us. man, we really could use someone like him now.
@@adtxchannel5474 Yeah, we lost a good brother, but me and Pac were the same age ADTX. And your wrong, not all white people hated Pac or that type of rap music at the time. Many white's Loved 2Pac. Alot of people will never give 2Pac a chance because of all the rumors and speculation. But do a little history digging and you'd see God really made something special with this one.
You guys are just trying to make money. You are intitled to your opinion, but all songs are like that, with pop r n b etc, says I love you then hate you etc.. it's called music. I don't know who you two are.....
He showed that his mother wasn't perfect but loved her as if she was.
Pac is, for me and many others, the truest representation of Hip Hop. Love to see when others make an effort to understand this form of expression called "rap".
Me 2 it means alot for them to actually listen to him cause he's one of the realist and still right now in 2019 bumping

Beautifully put.
It’s real simple: he loves his mother no matter what. That’s called Unconditional Love.
2Pac and His Mother are deceased now. RIP 💓 Now they are together.

"We blamed Mama", because kids generally blame their parents and at the time don't notice how much those parents sacrifice for their children.

Research the song before analyzing. Tupac’s mom was addicted to drugs, but after he sold his 1st album he was able to pay for her rehab.
