    I love my Marsupial Harness. It does have magnets in the bottom that allows the hood(lid) to stay secured to the bottom.

  • @patrickhuffaker7429

    Ran the enclosed small marsupial in CB last year and loved it. As others have said, the marsupial actually does have a magnet on the bottom, you just gotta stretch that lid to the bottom and it will stay open really well for you. That’s how I use mine at the 3D range.

    My favorite by far is the T&K Hunting Gear harness. Built like a tank, no BS lifetime warranty, magnetic forward opening, modular. Veteran owned company.

    Marsupial has thought of everything, they make a pouch for the opposite side of your range finder that has loops that you can put a knife with replacement blades and a lighter and still have room for your phone or whatever inside. It also has an elastic pocket on front for 550 cord, chapstick or whatever. They make a great lanyard for your rangefinder for like $12 and bow hangers on the side or bottom to hold your bow while you’re glassing.

    Marsupial, outstanding customer service! My buddy wanted a new harness last minute before our trip, sent them an email with his order and asked for rush shipping so it would make it to Canada within the week and they had no problem getting the order out for him.

    Hey. I know I'm a bit late to the vid but I love my Marsupial too! You'll love it even more if you do the buckle delete kit from Marsupial. It makes the best better. Especially since you like it to ride high.

    I'm rocking the KUIU Pro Bino Harness and range finder pocket and love it so far. I have their old original bino harness and I had my wife sew in extra straps so when I pulled the binoculars out the harness did not slip down.

    I ran the marsupial gear enclosed all of last hunting season - close to 30 days or better. I liked the modular capability, the fit, the front pocket is great, the side pouches are deep enough that your wind check doesn’t squish out, the rear mesh pocket was great for my cell phone, etc... it is well built and the harness is comfortable for long days in the field. What I don’t like, and the reason I switched from it, was the magnets. Yes they worked to keep the system open and closed, but they will mess with a compass and they def messed with my phones compass. It caused the orientation of my OnX to fail - it was not OnX or my phone that was the problem. It was the proximity of my phone to the harness magnets that caused interference. And yes, even the enclosed version gets tree debris, or foreign material inside. You will have to dump out the tamarack needles at the end of the day. Ditch the magnets and I would reconsider.
    I have since switched to the Stone Glacier Skyline harness and love it. Low profile, light weight, water proof, comfortable, and zero magnets. You are limited by the size of Bino you can carry though. If you like big 12’s or 15’s, then you will have to wait for the bigger pouch to come out. The other harness I would look at is the Kuiu Pro.
    Thanks for the video guys, well done. I will be curious to get your thoughts on the Iron Will system. I have been running that and love it. There are so many pieces of gear you can speak to, if you keep doing gear reviews, then run through your kits and you will come up with a ton of content to produce.

    I own the Sitka chest rig and the Marsupial enclosed. The marsupial is by far superior. My favorite chest rig out there.
    The Sitka Rangefinder pockets are a pain in the ass. They are not one-handed and the lids do not stay open with magnets like the marsupials do.
    I just use the Sitka For bow shoots.
    I would not use it for hunting

    Bought the marsupial gear enclosed and I show it off to everyone. Most guys I know just run the basic vortex Bino harness and have never ventured away from that. I’ve ran the vortex, the Sitka and ended up selling both and buying the marsupial gear. Can’t say enough good things about it.

    Vortex makes a archers strap, it’s long enough you can keep your binoculars on your rear hip so they don’t pendulum into your chest as you walk, buy one.

  • @MoseMoser
    @MoseMoser 3 года назад

    i picked up a small marsupial for my vortex fury ABs, and i love it minus one thing, and its not necessarily the MGs issue maybe, but the binos coating is super grippy, and with the harness being a small maybe i should have gotten a medium. Also the small has very tiny side pockets and front pocket making one handed getting literally anything out of them impossible. I might sell it post spring bear and get a medium because the quality is nice, just hard to deal with and im nervous of having to quickly range and go.
