I'd also add Heart Breaker and Sunny Disposition to get the little pink balls.
Just my opinion, but vow of arrogance makes these less fun to watch. Vow of forsaking also but to a lesser degree. You just can't make the build as cool as it otherwise would be with those on. Would rather that fear come from other vows.
I second that, it's kinda of annoying seeing Dan going for cool builds while using vow of forsaking and at some point being like "oh we forsook something important/fun". why not just turn on forced overtime and tight deadline and that's it? would make these vids more enjoyable.
@@gabrielborges7129 I think that would be too easy for him, but there are other ways to create a challenge than these specific vows.
@@gabrielborges7129 vow of forsaking also makes it much easier to get the boons you want, since you have a much smaller boon pool. It also helps with getting duos and legendaries to some degree, though not as much as it used to.
Understood, it's a tough balance since some people ask for higher Fear runs but I agree that the builds wind up less fun like this. I'll probably just have to mix it up.

The Ice-cutioner build:
Aspect: Your choice between Momus or Eos (Easy to set and forget attack and special)
Attack - (Hephaestus) Volcanic Strike - Heroic rarity and/or pommed to 2 seconds
Special - (Demeter) Ice Flourish
Duo - Room Temperature
Demeter - Cold Storage
The idea is to completely shut down enemies by locking them into a freeze/ding dong cycle. Plenty of optional boons like Vent for origination or other ways of inflicting freeze (Arctic ring)
Damage reduction:
Can you take 0 damage?
Aspect: your choice
Glamour Gain - +30% damage reduction
Broken Resolve - +10% damage reduction
Island Getaway - +15% damage reduction
Brave Face - up to 50% damage reduction
Flood Control - Flat reduction
Ice Queen would set all damage to 15 or less, assisting the reduction.
@@LadZeroUltrayeah, but that places Demeter as the fourth god. The one boon that fits better with the run is FIXED GAIN! (wow it sucks). Realistically, I'd drop Hera from this list to have Demeter and heph, though.
@@LadZeroUltra I'm pretty sure Demeter's infusion triggers last, so it wouldn't really help the reduction but give it a minimum effectiveness, i.e. if the damage reduction isn't good enough on an attack, it would still be reduced to 15.

Maximum Elements:
Use Elementary Particles, Chaos' Creation Boon(s) to Empower: Chaos' Chant boon and as many Infusions that are dependent on number of elements.
Build idea: zeus sprint, hera cast, local climate (maybe on momus? for more hitch ticks), idea being you convert the single target zeus sprint into a multi-target AOE via hera cast inflicting hitch and local climate making the cast follow you while you sprint frees up your movement while sprinting, and then you take air quality to scale up the hitch damage.

My favorite Charon build:
Start with Apollo's keepsake and grab Lucid Gain at any rarity. It procs when you smash your cast and recharges more magick than your special costs, so now you can just alternate between casting and smashing as fast as possible.
After that, look for Rapture Ring (Aphrodite), Gale Force (Demeter), and Super Nova (Apollo). Gale Force also unlocks Boreal Gust (Apollo + Demeter), which is unnecessary but kinda fun. *Do not take Prominence Flare (Apollo)* - you can't cast again until the flare ends.
Put whatever you want on special and literally anything on attack (if all goes well, you'll never use it). Sudden Cleaver (special channels 25% faster) is the best hammer, but any of the special-based ones work.
For Chaos, IMO channel speed is better than cast damage, but both of them work.

Hey, love the runs! A new build idea here:
Ravaal (Argent Skull) with aspect of Mel,
try for "Spiteful Strengh" (Hephi/Hera Duo) mainly with no attack boon,
if possible go for a tripple hammer in the mourning fields with Echo
-> cream on the crop would be a hephi legendary to make this aspect go even further beyond!

My thoughts on "cheating" when playing single player: lmfao I don't care. My first ever sub-10 in Hades 1 was Hera Bow with crush shot, and I accidentally took HP from Charon's shop instead of a pom, so I quit the game, restarted it, and took the pom instead
I knew I wasn't submitting it as an actual speedrun, I just wanted to know that I could get sub-10 if I was fully focused and didn't make any stupid mistakes, and I did, the run was a 9:26 and I still had plenty of mistakes, but it was a personal achievement, not something I cared about sharing, so whatever.
One thing I won't do is use, for example, assist mode for Celeste goldens. The challenge is in the game itself. Maybe it's the difference between the game offering a challenge and a self-imposed challenge that's the difference breaker for me.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I never did the quit/restart thing in 32 Heat in H1 because I don't think I ever made a mistake like that. Maybe I just wanted to save time in the speedrun so I was going fast...

Regardless, I'd be supportive of anyone who *did* do whatever "cheating" in their own singleplayer setting. It's your copy of the game, have fun with it

How about a boon-“less” run? Where boons are avoided at all costs, and hestia is prioritized otherwise for burnt offering. Curious how (un?)lucky you could get with this!

Serenity staff
Double attack staff hammer

Static shock
Apollo legendary?
I feel like there's some weird cap to support fire, cause it always feels like it's firing less than it should be
Hello Haelion, i feel like infusions are so much underrated so i wanted to make a build that can truly showcase them and how good they can potencially be:
- mel aspect for the axe
- eph, hera and demeter
- hermes infusion ( and with those gods i know it's pretty hard)
- any helement upgrade from caos
- don't pick an attack boon
- just pick all the rock helements that you find
- remember to use the shovel
- the idea it's all around Martial Arts from Eph and his duo with hera
I manage to get MA to 70%, hope you will have fun trying it out
I really liked the idea of players suggesting unique or fun builds. Good stuff.

The hammer cheese sounds pretty interesting ngl. I'm not sure how other people feel, but for the content sake cheese or no cheese I'm just here to enjoy watching you play. It's fun seeing the different types of runs between speedrunning, higher fear, casual, and overexplained runs. Though arguably grill stories take the number 1 spot
Don't know the best setup, but a non-sprint Heph build where you pom the attack or special enough to get blasts popping off constantly might be an interesting challenge.
25:32 Unless there's some specific exploit I don't think you can do that. The game specifically grays out the Quit button in the menu if you choose those RNG type keepsakes like the Hammer, Embryo, and I think the Phial as well after hitting the Fountain.
Maybe you could try to get all infusions. It gets quite involved because after you get Proper Upbringing you’ll only ever be offered another non-chaos infusion if it would give you gold instead, so the play is to take creation early, get Tall Order, Slow Cooker, Water Fitness and Air Quality as soon as possible (by mid-fields at the latest), then get Proper Upbringing, and Elementary Particles in Tartarus.
You can gamble by starting with the egg for creation, or taking elementary particles before you have PU (which has a 50% chance of ruining the run by giving PU). It’s also fine to take Wispy Wiles and Frosty Veneer instead of AQ and WF, but activating AQ and FV without Zeus and Poseidon would be very difficult.
Day 3 Asking for a max dodge build
-Wispy Whiles is MVP with you being able to pretty consistently get it to 30% plus doge chance without elements from chaos or narcissus
-Try to get a common dodge boon from hermes to phial it or just settle for an epic for 20-25%
- Obviously messenger arcana for 5%
- And then finally find a way to apply daze constantly (I find Blinding sprint to be best) for an extra 20% against dazed enemies
Im pretty confident that 100% is possible with enough luck but I would love to see your attempt at it
It’s painful to set up because you need to get Twilight curse + Orchestration (the upgrade that teleports all sheep into your cast).
This is the cheese sheep build:
Aspect of Mel Staff, or Persephone.
Arcana card that charges hex.
Geiser Spout is the main boon. Pair with Hera/Demeter cast to apply more damage and a status. Hera for Born Gain.
The idea is to sheep everything ASAP, then Geiser spout them to death (they get sucked into every omega cast.)
Support with increased Omega speed, extra cast damage.
It’s not efficient but a fun cheese build.
Got a good build here:
Aspect of Mel for the skull
Possessed array, rocket bombard. (Omega attack spam)
Aphro attack + Heartbreakers
Any Apollo boon that unlocks sunny disposition
Try to got Apollo legendary
Tons of heart throbs from possessed array and Apollo legendary.
Please do a huge scorch build and have the Hestia + Aphrodite duo boon. Weapon: something fast that you can stack a lot of scorch with. Don't use forsaking, so you can take as many Hestia boons as possible, like Pyrotechnique, Highly flammable etc.
one build that could be interesting is full damage reduction! could do Heph gain, Poseidon & Aphro duo, Hera legendary if you're lucky, and buying any and all python scales you can find. every now and then you could take hits from powerful attacks just to see how much damage you take 😅
A build where you show off how tranquil gain changes how the game is played and how it would probably disrupt the flow of combat would be an interesting video purely from a technical aspect. Use anything you want to.

Full ding dong build : heph attack and special with any kind of weapon outside of the axe and apolo duo boon, grand caldera and so on. For more funny slow ding dong up the spec or attack level and it feel like the game is slowing down every attack. Cheers !
The only reason I can think of for wanting to exploit experimental hammer would be if there was a specific trio of hammers you wanted to do a run with and you already had two of them. Other than that Hades isn't such a hard game that you need to exploit it beyond maybe what oddities there are in the coding like with the first game using mirage shot on Beowulf and even that was still situational.
get with hestia and demeter and get the duo that lets you clear freeze so that you can spam hestia then demeter then hepphestus over and over again. Upgrade scortch damage as much as possible but dont get pyrotechnique and reduce the cooldown of heph blasts as much as poosible

I really want to see Queens Ransom or King's Ransom work. Torture would be getting both in one run. But I think getting Bridal Glow and then ditching your Hera boons is great. I've done that before and your boons stop losing rarity.
It's a shame you can't have them both (King and Queens Ransom) at the same time. King's ransom is coded as a Zeus boon and therefore is removed when you pick up Queens ransom and vice-versa.
