Man I thoroughly enjoyed this series with Todd. He is one sharp cookie and managed to professionally deflect over zealous questions! Of course there were more then a few people going come on man, get to the juice!!!!!! Ken thanks for you efforts in bringing this to us.
I think your extensive boat reviews as well as the tracking studies you have shared got you noticed and for me and others like me, we subscribed and look forward to yoiur videos.
Another awesome video! Maybe expand on the fisheries biologist series.Have him talk about their invasive species control, lake management, things they check for. Could be a really interesting series.
That shallow fish does not surprise me. I kayak fish housen and catch numerous great fish in less than 2 foot of water until the water starts to fall. Interesting
Great content and I can't wait till the next video. I wish they would do another study on release fish from a tournament. On pickwick most of the big tournaments weigh in 20-40 miles from where the majority if fish are caught. I have always wondered how far the release fish would travel to get back to its home range. Thanks for this series
Im wondering if the reason why none of these fish have gone out to the main lake and suspended is because thats not where they were caught and tagged. It seems like bass have a personality on what they like and dont like. Also ken could you do a video of the different vegetation on these lakes and how/when they are historically fished.
Kyle I think some of that is that these fish have lots of Florida strain genes and that's not what Florida's do. I'll work on the vegetation video, that is a great idea thanks!
I have train wrecked them out of gator grass many times. 1.75-2oz weight , 4/0 -5/0 Trokar flipping hook snelled with 70 lb Samurai Braid. They love that stuff especially during the shad spawn.
Yes, I’m the comment on one of these videos a guy posted a link to a lake fork guide that did a sit down with that biologist, either look there or search for it on RUclips
Great info Ken! My question to you is do you think it’s the outboard or the sonar signal from the depth finders. From what I find is if I get to close with my boat they seam to move. I try to stay as far as possible or turn off my units after I find them
Great informational video!
Great stuff!! Thanks keep it coming!
This has confirmed so much I’ve learned over the years at Toledo. 🤯
Awesome stuff
Thanks Archie
Looking forward to the next updates.

In addition: viewers may want to also refer back to john hope, "tracking trophys" and 'funnel points' .
As always, thanks Ken. Also, a huge thanks to Todd for educating us.

I'm excited to see what the future brings with this telemetry study, and I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see Todd. Great series!

Congrats on your channel success! Great job Ken and keep it going.
Do you turn your sonar off or put it in standby?
Usually standby

Great report on Toledo would like to hear about what he says about Lake Fork, great job
Thank you for the educational information. Is their anyway I can find the information for Lake Fork?

@@KenSmithFishing thanks
Oxygen levels higher w/ gator grass & fresh water runoff is why sow belly so shallow.
Please ask Todd about a fish returning after being weighed in 10+ miles from where it was caught??
He said 6 miles is about the max in a previous video. Not saying they won't go further but most won't go much further
And if you google search it there are studies out there
It could have had more oxygen with the primrose.

Seems the motor is way noisier?
So you had you Guide with you haa, dont trip on you're guides feet!
We almost had a treble hook incident
That hook in the dog want be good!
You’re going to have 1000 people flipping the 500 sq ft of water primrose in Toledo Bend for the next 8 months haha
