Id give anything to go back to 1985. My Mom is still with us....but weakening....same as Dad...I need to hear stuff like this so I can remember to be patient and loving.
Going through the same. Last 2 years have really hit. 3 uncles, 4 aunts and 3 cousins. I can only say "Broken color crayons still color". Mourn and heal in your own time. Prayers and Blessings Always.
Gen X also (I guess 1966), lost my dad last July, I also was blessed to have had him for 89 yrs, the hurt never goes away, but, it does get manageable, the hurt proves a real love was there, my faith (and an awesome wife) have helped me through this, it's been rough, six family members in two yrs (we are a close family), my dad and my aunt (his baby sister) passed within an hour of each other, and yes, this is the part of life i've been dreading, saying good bye (or so long for now) to the ones I looked up to and who helped mold the man I am today, so I feel your pain and understand. Prayers my brother.
May the Lord keep you and bring you comfort dear Sir. 🙏 Fellow GenXer here, I've been thinking these same thoughts recently, realizing our next chapter in life (our generation that is). You speak the Truth and I hope your message reaches as many of us as possible. To prepare and not waste any opportunities we still have with our family and friends, wise advice. My prayer is for your message to touch each of our hearts so that we will be all that our loved ones need us to be. What a powerful message the Lord has sent through you. Prayers for you and your family during this difficult time. God Bless. Sincerely, a fellow GenXer
As you walk I keep admiring your openness and the views and sun peaking in throughy the trees the dogs barking and the birds singing...God is still giving...Take these walks my brother and release your thoughts to the creator
Well said brother. Keep your head up. You seem like a good dude and im sure many are thinking about you and praying for you. Heck i dont know you and your in mine.
I lost both of my parents in two days. My amazing mother, who raised four children on her five foot nothing own, and took us to every amusement park in the US, before cellphones and internet, was killed by Williamson Medical Center in 2018. My sperm donor/father called me the next day (that makes 3 calls in 50 years) and said; son, shit happens. Haven't spoke to that pos since. Sorry to vent, y'all.
@@1LUVTV .. Sorry for making it about me. Know this; Heaven is real. I know where my mom is, and there's a good chance she's currently chewing your mother's ear off about how great of a son I am. Take solace.
Just because a radio may be broken, doesn't mean the signal is gone.
Godspeed
X.
Salute
Baby boomer here. Thanks for telling it true. Lost lots. Get used to getting old. It sucks. There is no expiration date on grief.
