As always, great instructions on a high maintenance area on the Mustang that always gets dirt from the shortest drive. I just recently changed out the entire panel, about $90.00 to delete the horse and just have a plain black panel. It will definitely be easier to keep clean, and I appreciate the instructions to do so. Auto Fanatic 007 is my key ingredient to reach that goal! Thank you for that!
I have a new 2019 GT350 that now has about 3K miles on it. Just noticed last week that someone tried to steal my rear badge. I have been pissed off and stewing on this and how to fix the scratches and possible cracks in the panel every since. I may get the nerve to try out your technique. Awesome channel and thanks for all of the great content that you post!
My 18 has fine swirls on it...have to do this. Dealer didnt wash it before I picked it up so I guess it must have been from the factory. Oh well just some fun time with the car...loving that 007 you sent me man! Stuff is awesome. Forgot I had a gallon of the Adams detail spray for a while lol
Damn, my rear De kid was never that perfect even when my car was new. Now I always recommend people apply a clear wrap on the rear decklid to prevent the fine scratches.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed! The BOSS system looks pretty impressive, may have to give it a try. I typically use a lot of Chemical Guy's stuff for 2-stage paint corrections, but will give this a shot.
Great stuff man, 007 GE is legit, amazing product. Will the wheel cleaner be ready for when the store opens online or do you have those currently available?
Pro-Tect Plastics & Supply sells the transportation tape. It comes in various widths the smallest is 6"and all are 600" rolls. The 6" is $41 + $22 for shipping....I hope this helps. And to address my question from 2 years ago, can the panel be shot with clear coat ?
Micro fibers scratch the decklid, literally anything Ive used to clean off a little spec causes scratches. Seems like you'd have to do this every other day if it just scratches the same after fixing it
Try 700-1200 for the tail end panel😂 someone stole my emblem and the decklid is scratched to hell. I can't just buy and emblem so I'm stuck buying a new panel.
Would this method work on the bezel around the brake lights as well? Would probably have to do by hand but have the same kind of scratches in between the brake lights and around them.
Ditto that looks like nice protection tape I would buy a couple rolls for sure along with bottle of 007 and wheel cleaner. Auto fanatic will you do the 007 in gallon size?
Any updated information on the availability of the protection tape? I've done some searching, and have come up empty so far. I (we) would appreciate knowing the source of this product. Thanks for all you do for us.
Can you ceramic coat this panel? Also, I can't seem to find your youtube about the radar detector. What model and brand it was that you installed in your GT350? Thank you
Are the B-pillars made the same way as the rear panel? Thinking of Ford models use same shiny materials and they show marring easily. I must try that Colinite 915.
I do not i bought them a while back, i plan to source them and sell in my store soon, they are neat I have all my pads from 3 inch to 6 inch in their own case, keeps them contaminant free always.
I thought you said you didn’t like the Griot’s system on your video about the different polishers/buffers you use. You even said you sold it on eBay haha what happened someone at Griot’s got a hold of you or what
never said that i may have been referring to their cheap polishers not the Boss system, I like the Boss system and they did not give it to me for free trust me on that Griots does not need my help to sell product. FYI the ones I sold were the Rupes, rewatch the video.
Oh ok I thought you said you spent like $800 on two Griot’s and sold them on eBay, haha sorry I watched that one a couple weeks ago, my apologies. I will probably just get a flex buffer because German crap is usually good and should last a long time although the boss system was looking nice to me also. If I start a detailing side business I want something a bit more industrial so I was thinking of the flex buffer 3401 hd model, is it that much better than the Griot’s? Everyone seems to love the flex
My Flex 3401 is a powerhouse, it wont die on me so it is worth the money. Also look at the Makita I used on my channel, been using this often as well still, its like a 2 in 1 machine and works quite well and Makita is well built and has great support long term.
Thanks AF I’m getting a late start at it since I’m already 43 but I would like to someday get to a pro level like yourself. Being able to make money at it would be a bonus as well. Your gt350 is looking sexy. I’m looking forward to trying your products like 007 and the wheel cleaner also. When I run out of V7 and speed shine I will order some from you. Thanks again fir the wisdom helping out us newbs
My Wife's 18 mustang GT is covered with PPF but the installerforgot to cover that part, so i polished it and had it covered with Xpel Ultimate, minor scratches dissapear while parked in the sun since the PPF is self healing. I used Menzerna products.Thanx for the Video..PS. still waiting on that wheel cleaner.

Perfect timing as I just scratched my panel rubbing some dust off, it is delicate. Thanks for the vid..
Esoteric car care sells a door stopper that will help hold the doors up for you to polish without hitting edges, sides etc.
Lomas Ticas legs are FREE no need for a tool 😉
Great video! i tried this out and it really made my decklid panel pop more. thanks!
Great content! You saved me a visit to a body shop with this video!
glad this helped the back panels SUCK on these cars the finish is so delicate and scratches so easily.
Those piano black panels tend to have very soft paint. It would have been nice to put an LED light on it to see how it truly finished.
oh boy a skeptic ha ha ha trust me it was perfect

BRILLIANT............ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

if I want to change the emblem would it be possible to remove it and settle another with different colour for example?
AF, did you ever find the distributor where you got the white masking tape from? I’m trying to find some.
another awesome video!!! I have a 17 roush and 19 GT this will come in handy! what do you think of chemical guys 50/50 paste wax
collinite 915, game over trust me
Would this method work on the bezel around the brake lights as well? Would probably have to do by hand but have the same kind of scratches in between the brake lights and around them.
Hi who manufactures the protection tape Thanks
I will look into this on Monday we bought over $1500 of this stuff a few years back I need to look up old paper invoices in the office.
I would like that information too. When you find out, post it up and those of us who want some can order it. Thanks.
Auto Fanatic interested as well, thanks for looking into it!

V1 radar, video was back in 2018
AF did u replace the 5 inch boss plate with a six inch?
Are the B-pillars made the same way as the rear panel? Thinking of Ford models use same shiny materials and they show marring easily. I must try that Colinite 915.
thomkirby the Collinjte is awesome
Don't u have upgrade sound system for sale?
One more question please...........can the panel be shot with clear coat ??? Thank you.
not sure because in order to do that you need to scuff the panel and it might cause an issue how this plastic panel is coated in manufacturing
Thank you......
I have request testing Topcoat Product F11.
send it to me il test it
WHAT COMPANY SOLD YOU THE SPECIAL PROTECTIVE WRAP????????????????????????????
Would the g9 polisher work also
Yes however a smaller 3 inch pad works best on this panel
What happened to the VO7? Also quick question, what are your opinions on AMMO products.
no more CG products as i invested heavily in creating better stuff for my needs.
Auto Fanatic Cool. How do you think yours compares to theirs?
no comparison, check my IG feed been preselling for a few weeks until my store is finished.
Auto Fanatic are you preselling your wheel cleaner? If so how do I buy?
Do you have a link for the storage plastic for the pads?
I do not i bought them a while back, i plan to source them and sell in my store soon, they are neat I have all my pads from 3 inch to 6 inch in their own case, keeps them contaminant free always.
They seem very useful, I will buy it when it is available.
Why not wrap it gloss black?
way to much work
@@autofanaticcars how many miles do you have on your gt350? Is every other gt350 motor blowing up or are people just plain haters?
How many miles did you have on the red Gt350 when you sold it?

If your products are out, how can one purchase them?
email direct until the store is finished, the web guys are working on integrating all the shipping stuff still, takes time.
@@autofanaticcars good news!! Product is alredy finish, i thought you ditch it. You will sell it on amazon too?
AF have you tried the Griots Poly Wax? Just curious what you think?
collinite 915, game over trust me
Could you just clear bra it ? I have a 17 and it a area you have to be very careful with
im sure you could but film also gets scratched its unavoidable
@@autofanaticcars didn't know that thanks

oh yes it is so many guys asked me for months about this so i did my car today to show everyone.
@@autofanaticcars Do you think applying ceramic coating will decrease the chance of causing more defect to the plastic
LMFAO your wife must absolutely hate that car! You spend more time on that badboy than with her. I dont blame you one bit!
I can't believe someone would try to still a emblem wtf
yeah totally lame i know
