Another way to interpret it. The seed symbolizes a Christian, small and humble, insignificant in the eyes of the world, but deep in the earth has many roots.

The growth of the kingdom seems secret because it grows through individual personal relationship with Jesus. There is an undeniable spiritual reward of joy in the relationship that grows the kingdom exponentially.

Thank you. Good as usual. The last time I asked Dr Pitre about the birds nesting in the tree mentioned. Someone replied to me saying no old testament pretext. I found this in Daniel 4:9 "Its leaves were most beautiful, and its fruit exceeding much: and in it was food for all: under it dwelt cattle and beasts, and in the branches thereof the fowls of the air had their abode"
