That is lovely thank you for posting this! The Cinelli graphics are so good I love them. I disagree about wheel logos as I enjoy seeing them go round on my own bikes and as bikes go past. I would like more bike profiles as this was very interesting...

Different strokes for different folks. I absolutely hate wheel decals. I think they look horrible unless they are black decals on black wheels. I had Zipp wheels for years and they always came with white decals. The first thing I did was take them off as soon as I got them home.
I appreciate your viewership and thank you for letting me know you like Bike Profiles. I’ll keep doing them for you and other viewers!

I ride the rim brake version of this bike and it lives up to the name. It goes when you ask it to, no matter the terrain.

Rare to see a bike frame that is not from the major brands. Agree with carbon wheels rim braking. Funky handlebars. Good over all look to the bike.

It´s a nice frame, Cinelli still delivers class even when it´s Carbon and not Steel. ;-) ...but she needs to get that damn bar tape replaced, no matter what! :D
As you quickly spoke about the saddlebag in the video, I´d personally be interested in hearing a bit about what and how you pack your stuff on a typical (long) road ride.
I´ve been using a small/medium top tube bag so far to transport my phone, energy bars, multitool, tire lever, keys and a tiny "1st aid kit".
I´ve recently switched to a small saddle bag which fits some of the stuff mentioned above - but my phone & energy bars have to stay in my pockets now. After doing a couple of longer rides like this, I cant understand how people like to transport stuff on their back. An extra shirt or some food is mostly fine, but the more you carry there, the more you heat up and sweat. It feels awkward and it´s not good to have a smartphone so close to your skin for extended periods of time (+ the phone is getting run over by sweat - especially in hot weather.) The energy bars are getting all warmed up as well - even worse if you got any with chocolate in them.
I think it´s weird that many roadies do not use a (fairly streamlined) top-tube bag and instead choose to carry a lot of stuff in their pockets. Apart from a minor visual setback, those tiny bags make riding a lot more comfortable in my eyes. What´s your opinion on this / How do you do it?
    Best Regards

ha ha She LOVES her bar tape that way ... she says it has character :-)
I did a video a long time ago about the basics to carry in your tool bag. I can do it again. Just like GCN does, they redo videos all the time with different presenters lol!
Phone and energy bars ALWAYS go in your jersey pockets. How would you access them while riding if not in your back pockets? You should be able to pull your phone out take pictures or video. You should be able to pull your bars/gels out of your pocket tear into them and take bites or suck the gels just as you crest a climb so you can chew on the descent.
Phones are sweat resistant. You shouldn't have to worry about that. They pass standards of being immersed in water to a certain depth and for a certain time.
I don't use a top tube bag! I think they look hideous! You should be able to carry all you need in your jersey pockets. I can carry thousands of calories in my back pockets. Plus another couple of thousand calories in my bottles. I don't need a Camelbak or top tube bag or fanny pack to ride 200 miles with a lot of climbing unsupported. Lori, Barb and I can carry enough nutrition on our person for 12 plus hours of riding. As you are riding you keep reducing the bulk since you are emptying your pockets every time you eat something. We just need water which we can get anywhere.
      Thanks for watching.

@@SeeYouUpTheRoad I mean, you can easily pull a phone or energy bars / gels etc. out of a top-tube bag. The upside is that your phone isn´t getting soaked and energy bars do not turn soft & warm over time. (To be honest, thats not a big problem - unless you have to eat a lot of them over the day ;-)) I´ve been using a PRO Discover, very light and looks kinda alright for a toptube bag.
I guess it also depends what kind of weather you encounter, in winter or while we have some more rain here, I´m fairly happy that I dont have to stuff everything into a pocket - it´s sealed off in the bag.

Looks like that chainstay is so wide it almost doubles as a rear derailleur guard! Also it’s massively impressive she could climb Gibraltar and Big Bear on 39x28 on 100 mile rides😱 That hook bar end shape is very unique as well. I’m guessing it’s to let the rider know the real estate on the bar is ending?

That was my thinking too! 8% for 6 miles with a 39/28!?!? Legs of steel!!!

Hello J - yes keep in mind that is the average grade... there are double digit grades throughout the climb and reliefs that are about 3%-5% grades. She is a great climber I am so proud of my girlfriend's results considering she can't train as much as Lori and Barb. 😍😍

The bar has a very ergo shape to it. I like it when riding. It looks quite different than standard bars.
The chain stay is so wide that she clipped it with her heel when she used to ride Speedplay pedals with 15 degrees of float. She is now riding Look Keo style cleats while using the Favero Assioma power meter pedals with 9 degrees of float. We will eventually reduce that to 4.5 degrees of float.
Yes she is awesome climbing Gibraltar to 2nd place in her age group and 2nd on Onyx Summit at Big Bear in a 39x28

@@SeeYouUpTheRoad I climbed Gibraltar a few times, it is not an easy ride up. I think the SB100 route went up Gib and down Painted Cave road. I find the painted cave road even harder, the gradients after San Marcos pass really put you to work. Epic.

@@gokaygs you correct on the route. We went down Painted Cave and San Marcos. Someone crashed on Painted Cave during the event. I hope they were ok.
On Sunday we went up San Marcos and Painted Cave and a few other climbs. I posted a video “Sunday in Santa Barbara” the steep pitches on SM and PC are really hard especially on out 53/39 and 11-28 cranksets.

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  4 месяца назад

It’s a blessing for short legged long torso riders in the carbon world. With steel bikes they could make 16 sizes no problem. With carbon frames you only get 4-6 sizes. As a bike fitter the sloping top tube has allowed a lot of riders to ride the correct size bike.
